222868 Doug, I just finished Dustwalker Dustwalker by Tiffany Roberts . You were right, I'm going to remember this one for a while. That epilogue was heart wrenching.

222868 No Cassie and Dorina books are not complete, although the last Cassie book that just came out did tie off a lot of threads that have been hanging for awhile. I used to get upset having to wait so long between books, but that is because I enjoy them so much.

VIcki - if you end up liking Cassie Palmer there is also a spin off series Dorina Basarab. Events and some characters cross over. The author Karen Chance has a reading order on her website that is the best order to read the books from both series. But certainly see if you like the first Cassie book first.

My biggest complaint is that it takes like 2 years between books. But I do like this series enough to reread them - which is handy because a lot happens in each book.

222868 Vicki, Rhapsodic was a DNF for me. I haven't deleted from my kindle yet, in case I want to go back to it. But I don't really see that happening.

222868 I'm reading Ride the Storm Ride the Storm (Cassandra Palmer, #8) by Karen Chance . I love Cassie Palmer books. Just wish they came out more frequently. But this one is over 9,000 locations so you get quite a book when they come out.

222868 About halfway through The Mech Who Loved Me The Mech Who Loved Me (London Steampunk The Blue Blood Conspiracy #2) by Bec McMaster . It's pretty good. Hoping to finish today or tomorrow.

After I will probably read Demon Hunting with a Sexy Ex (Demon Hunting #5) by Lexi George since Doug arranged for me to get it from NetGalley and I promised a review to the author for it.

Since joining netgalley I have received two rejection emails for books requested. I didn't really expect to be approved. Looks like you need to be a serious reviewer with a blog or amazon top rating etc. to be taken seriously. I don't blame the publishers - the point is to hype the books.

I've often wondered about netgalley since I see so many reviews with books received from there, but since I am not a big reviewer and have no blog, etc. I figured I wouldn't qualify.

222868 I'm about halfway through The first Stone Guardians book by DB Reynolds (sorry could not get the name to come up as a link). It's pretty good, but a tad too much smexy times so far and not quite enough action/story. But I think its about to pick back up again.

222868 Currently reading Stone Warriors: Damian Stone Warriors Damian by D B Reynolds .

This is spin off from the Vampire in Americas books by DB Reynolds. You probably don't have to read those books first. One character and the premise for this new series started there but it is recapped at the beginning of the book. I only just started at 13% but so far so good.

222868 I will be finishing Frost Station Alpha: The Complete Series Frost Station Alpha The Complete Series (Frost Station Alpha, #1-6) by Ruby Lionsdrake today (I hope). A pretty decent SciFi but a little too insta-love for my tastes.

Not sure what I will be starting next. I'm in a little bit of a book slump. Which is kinda funny since I have like 400 books on my kindle....

Actually for me, so far, its a good story but the writing is just average. But it is also first person POV present tense, which is not my favorite...

Have there been any new books in the Pride series anytime recently?"

Doug, nope.

But there is a new Dragon Kin coming out in August I believe. I think she stopped with the Pride series since the arc resolves in this last book, and she started that new series with the viking clans - the Crows, etc,

222868 Re-reading Bite Me Bite Me (Pride, #9) by Shelly Laurenston .

I just got to part where Vic is arguing with the polish honey badgers about his father being a bear.

"I don't care he is your father. He is also bear." (Livy's Uncle Balt)
"You didn't mind me bringing Shen," Vic reasoned.
"The Panda? He is like giant stuffed toy. Adorable and nonthreatening."

We could start another thread called "Who am I?" and people could list their Amazon name and Goodreads name, and maybe first name if they wish or something. Then we would a list to refer to.
