222868 Just FYI - if you go to your goodreads profile settings you can select to be emailed about Goodreads Deals each day - price drops on books. You can select the categories that interest you.

Account Settings - select the last tab on the right "deals"

222868 Regarding books showing up as read:
You have to put a read date in the review for it to count for reading challenge.
Also I've noticed that sometimes for me I'll mark as read and then later see the book in my feed and it says want to read. If I click the book then it shows up as read but then sometimes I have to switch to a different edition for it to say read. And there are books on my to read shelf that I have already read. So yes it's annoying.

Deme - do I need to read the others in this series first? I had all of them on my TBR for a very long time.....

I'm so far behind on the Belador series....I think I have the last 2 to read....I think I unintentionally "broke up" with this series. How's it been going? Worth picking back up again? I can barely remember what was going on....

Yes that is who I was referring to. I did check after posting and I have read all her other historicals and don't remember these characters from other books. So this is their intro for this series.

222868 Other folks who have read The Duchess Deal (I am still working on it - should finish today), I am wondering about the 3 side characters that befriend the h - the ones that each have interesting quirks. Are these completely new characters or were they a carryover from another series maybe? I know this is the first book in this series but when they came on scene it almost felt like I was missing something with them. Probably just me, but I know characters cross over in these types of series and when they were introduced there was not a ton of background info - just who they were and what their quirks were. Just want to make sure I didn't miss any other good books!

222868 I finished So I Married a Sorcerer So I Married a Sorcerer (The Embraced, #2) by Kerrelyn Sparks . This series is kinda fun and goofy at times so definitely a lighter read, although there are some more serious moments. This one felt a bit long but there was a lot ot set up.

Doug - I kinda agree about the ending - the"excuse" given to the bad guy for his behavior and his "redemption" at the end. And the Chameleon better not be drawn out through the whole series cuz that will get old. But I did enjoy this one too.

Just started The Duchess Deal The Duchess Deal (Girl Meets Duke, #1) by Tessa Dare and I've already LOLed several times and I'm only like 10% in. The scene with the cat had me dying...

222868 I watched Outlander early On Demand too. I don't hate Brianna as much as last season, but she is just too short!!!

222868 Vanessa wrote: "And speaking of Outlander, I hope that the "reunion" is tonight!! I think that it has to be."

I'm guessing the episode is going to end right when Claire walks in. Then there is no episode next week, so we will have to wait 2 weeks for the"real" reunion.

And BTW, I am pretty sure people with Starz on demand don't have to wait until tonight to watch it. I keep seeing mentions of this on facebook, but I have not tried it. I like having my "TV time" Sunday nights....

Glad you liked Royally Screwed! The 2nd book was weaker, but not really what the description made it sound out to be. For example, the h was not part of the "bachelor game".

222868 Finished The Scot Beds His Wife The Scot Beds His Wife (Victorian Rebels, #5) by Kerrigan Byrne . I twas great. Looking forward to the next book already. Don't know if its going to revisit Dorian and Farah with what happened with the Rook, or be Callum's story with Allison Ross. Both sound great to me!
