It wasn't Joseph Wemyss or Tom Christie. Wemyss was the father of the girl Brianna brings with her that ends up getting malaria and then marrying the twins - they all stay on the ridge. Tom Christie was the cranky guy who ended up being in love with Claire.

Did the guy we are trying to place have one arm maybe? There were quite a few people from the prison that ended up on the ridge. But I thought the guy who ends up marrying Jocasta was a relative of Jamie's of some sort....

222868 The only forum still open that I can see right now is the kindle forum. There are some book chats there.

There is a thread/announcement from customer service with just one post at the top of the list of discussions - and it is locked for comments. It sounds like they are NOT replacing discussion forums but instead going to have a different type of help forum.

I finally figured it out! In Account Settings on the Feeds tab uncheck "Comment on a book or discussion".

You can still check the box so the comment will show up in your feed, but it is not the default.

Doug (or anyone) do you know how to change the defaults for when you make comments? When I add a comment the box "add to my update feed" is automatically checked and I have to remember to un-check it for every comment. I would rather not have every comment get posted to my feed. I can't figure out how to change the default.

222868 I started How to Tame a Beast in Seven Days How to Tame a Beast in Seven Days (The Embraced, #1) by Kerrelyn Sparks . My first Kerrilyn Sparks book. Its pretty good - nothing too mind bending. Just light fun so far.

222868 Yeah Doug she's nuts. I couldn't help it I had to call her out on being such a jerk. And what she was claiming you said was such BS - especially since your comment was just above hers and everyone could see you never said anything that she was giving you a hard time about. It was ridiculous. She is definitely one of those people that hears what she wants to hear, and not what was actually said. And yeah she hates you! How can someone waste so much energy hating someone else on the internet is beyond me.

I love our forum because everyone is so nice. There are other forums I tried and some people were really awful so I stopped going to those.

222868 Well I am finally reading The Night Circus The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern . This has been on my TBR since it came out - 2011 - I bought it in hard cover and never read it and it has been sitting on my shelf for years. And the really sad thing? I wanted to read it on kindle so I borrowed from library Overdrive account and still am not reading the hardcover.

Only about 10% in an its definitely got my attention. I'm already hoping for some awesome revenge by the end of the book and I'm not sure that's what I'm supposed to be thinking at this point.

222868 Finished Royally Endowed Royally Endowed (Royally, #3) by Emma Chase and really enjoyed it. I usualy don't like these types of books (comtemoprary, first person POV, present tense) but I loved these ones. The first book Royally Screwed (Royally, #1) by Emma Chase was the best, second book Royally Matched (Royally, #2) by Emma Chase was a little weaker but I still liked it, and then this 3rd book was very good too.

Then I read Mackenzie's Mountain (Mackenzie Family, #1) by Linda Howard and really liked it. But the next 2 books were not as good. I just DNFed book 3 after they were in love after like 12 hours of being together. But the first book was very good and you could just stop there.

222868 After Dustwalker I needed something funny and light and Playing with Fire: A Magical Romantic Comedy Playing with Fire A Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count) by R.J. Blain worked out great. It was a lot of fun. A little over the top wacky at points and went off the rails a bit here and there but overall a great read for me.
