I preordered the 2nd book months ago, then found out another bookstore here is having an author event with Jay Kristoff in person and you get a signed book. So I'll end up with 2 copies becasue no way I was gonna miss that, lol. I bought my ticket and I'm going alone. Plus I got the ARC ahile back and already read the book, and I got the audiobook free from Libro.fm.

The 2nd book is amazing. Can't wait for the 3rd one, and I really hope its just a trilogy cuz I can't take not knowing how this is going to end for too much longer.

Her jaw dropped.”

222868 Kresley Cole stopped writing for a few years due to health issues. She came back recently and finished her YA series and is publishing more IAD independently. I forgot how fun these books were. So many great lines. And Nucking Futz Nix, lol.

222868 I've been doing an Immortals After Dark re-read so I can read the newer books that came out since KC is writing again. Even after all this time (like over 10 years? lol) they are still entertaining. So many things I forgot about. I love the craziness of this world and the humor.

222868 So my business page is in the facebook bonus program. Not sure how it actually works but its based on reach and engagement (likes, comments, shares). I've been getting like $10-$20 a month. Was chatting with another bookseller in the bookstores facebook group. He's been getting like $100-$300 a month! But he has like 20k followers and I'm only at 1400. So we followed each others pages and he shared a post of mine. If anyone is on facebook I'd appreciate it if you gave my page a follow and like, comment share as you feel like it. :)

I'm thinking I might do an ARC giveaway to increase followers, like I see authors do.

I tried Fake Mate on audio. I DNFed after like 3 chapters. Didn't care for the characters.

Hi Vanessa! On audio, I listened to Everyone on the Train is a Suspect, which is a book 2. I suggest you start with Everyone in My Family has Killed Someone, which sets up the character.

I also just finished an ARC of A Short Walk Through a Wide World. I rounded up to 4*. I didn't get the ending (maybe its one of those open ended things?)

Also just finished on audio the unmaking of June Farrow. It was good, but just 3* for me.

222868 I finished an audio ARC of Everyone on This Train Is a Suspect (Ernest Cunningham, #2) by Benjamin Stevenson , Fantastic! I do recommend you start with Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone (Ernest Cunningham, #1) by Benjamin Stevenson .

Currenbtly listening to The Unmaking of June Farrow by Adrienne Young , Pretty good so far (just started).

Also reading an ARC of A Short Walk Through a Wide World by Douglas Westerbeke . Its pretty good so far. About halfway through. Fingers crossed for a good ending

'm waiting for the audio for his next book. It's available on NetGalley still (I think) but as an ebook. I'll buy the audiobook.

OMG I have the audiobook already. As a bookstore owner and partner with Libro.fm I get new ones each month, often before released. Didn't even realize it was in my library. Yay!

BTW - if there are any K-12 teachers here you can also get free audiobooks each month through Libro. FM ALC (advanced listening copy) program. If in the US I can help you get signed up - just le me know and I'll send the instructions (its easy).

Its offered in other countries too, I believe, and you can check with your local indie bookstore to see if they are a libro partner.

222868 Finished audio of Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone while spending 2 hours shoveling my driveway last night. It was very good in audio - 4* for me. The audiobook (I assume) was modified from the print book because the narrator talks at you sometimes and actually references "you audiobook listeners". It had some good twists at the end. It was funny but had serious moments as well. My only issues was the Australian accent threw me a couple of times so I think I missed a joke or two and had to re-listen to some parts. I had trouble distinguishing when he was talking and what thoughts were his own. But that's a me problem.

222868 I finished The Worst Best Man the other day. Its being reissued again so I got it as an ARC.

I enjoyed it! Some good snark and humor. Pretty steamy.

Just DNFed Raiders of the Lost Heart by Jo Segura . Was doing the audio and the narration was good. I just couldn't stand either of the main characters and nothing had really
happened 9 chapters in.

Working on an ARC of Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez . Its good so far, but not great. Will see how it goes.

222868 I finished yesterday Murder Your Employer The McMasters Guide to Homicide by Rupert Holmes on audio through Libro.FM. It was fantastic. My favorite audiobook of the year. One of the few 5* I gave this year. The narration was amazing. Neil Patrick Harris and Simon Vance narrating.
