I have about 10 days to read anything I want so I grabbed
Deadline and hope it is as good as pretty much everything else she has written.
LAB☺ wrote: "Wasn't sure what to read to I randomly selected Wake Me When the Sun Goes Down ."I loved that series for awhile and I love almost anything that Lisa Olsen writes but, I can't remember how many I read before it just took too many left turns out of nowhere and became the poster child for a series that should never have lasted beyond 4-5 books, she could have done a great job but IMHO it became chaotic and people you hated you were supposed to love & vice-versa and throw in a bad love triangle and I gave it up and never looked back.

I finished the Rakes of St. James trilogy last night and while it was enjoyable and the last book ties up the backstory and a couple of other things the current cost of $20 for all 3 seems a bit excessive for what you get but I gave the last book 4 Stars and the series as a whole (even though I gave
Last Night with the Duke 3 Stars for so many open things) so if you have read any of these it does end nicely.

The Soul Summoner Series: Books 1-3

@LAB - you really should read
Blood in Her Veins: Nineteen Stories from the World of Jane Yellowrock which has almost all the short stories and novellas in chronological order, I was surprised how much I did not know/remember
HappyBookWorm2020 wrote: "I finished The Siren and will start book 3 tomorrow. This is such a great story."I did not stop until I read all 5 books and preordered #6 :)
(I should note that the series overarching plot pretty much ends after the first 5 books, #6 looks like a new storyline)

@Vanessa - I kept thinking I had read some of the Dark Enforcers but now I remember it was the Realm Enforcers I have read about 4 of them I think, pretty good as I recall

OK, I just did a search and found I already own books 1-4 of the Dark Protector's series that I bought 2 years ago, damned unruly TBR

Has anyone read Rebecca Zanetti's Dark Protector's series? I am being offered the last 2 books but pretty sure I don't want to start at books 7 - 8 so I was wondering if the previous books were very good?

@HBW - I grabbed
Deadline since every book of hers I have read I loved and I got it free anyway with my "No Rush" shipping credits.

OK, I was given an ARC of
Cajun Persuasion some months back and the urge to read it or the mood never hit me but last night I decided I was not doing right and started it, I have been missing some great stuff :) Most of these you can pick up as stand alone although it is probably better if you get them in order. I had read them all and none were bad but this one looks to be really good so far (lot of humor and I suspect some life and death situations coming since they are rescuing girls from organized crime)

I am glad to see I was not the only one having problems sleeping after reading
Dark Queen . It gives you so many things to think about it was impossible for me not to run about 100 scenarios through my head LOL. It was obvious this book started out to be the last one and I wonder where it is going to go but she left some pretty big hints for some of it. I hope she does not have to take a year for the next one but since they hit her with 2 more books at the last minute it could :(

@TINNGG -
The Soul Summoner Series: Books 1-3 and the next 2 books may be the best thing I have gotten from KU this year.
@Frisco - re:
Dark Queen - "I am still thinking about it 24 hrs later."- I KNOW! I was laying in bed running things through my head long after I finished the book and have thought about things several times to the point that I feel I need to go back and reread those last few chapters over again :)

WOW, I did not notice that "Kill the Farm Boy" had a $14 price tag.

OK, last post and I am going to find something mindless to read, anyone know anything about this series, looks like a great deal.
When a Lord Loves a Lady: A Waltz with a Rogue Collection, 1-5www.amazon.com/When-Lord-Loves-Lady-C...

I got to say that other than "Dark Queen" and the "Soul Summoner" series I have been reading some really mediocre books.
I also did something I had only done once before to The Author Who Shall Not Be Named (the old members know who that is) but I wrote a review on a book I did not read, I did NOT pretend I had read it but the title says that no matter how good the story was (and it sounded good) I stood a great chance of getting preached at about politics subtly and if not then somebody picked a really stupid title
The 1963 Assassination of President Trump (I also made sure that I let it be known I would feel just as strongly if it was Hillary) I HATE politics in my reading in fantasy/urban fantasy/etc and with that title I have to assume there is going to be some preaching, if not then somebody was just stupid IMHO.
I have posted this before but my knowledge of any authors politics should be totally unknown from their writing (I know many of their politics via Facebook/Twitter but NOT from their writing). I feel cheated when it is done and I stumble into a political dissertation plugged into the middle of a book I am reading for entertainment. We all have our flaws and buttons and that is one of my biggest when it comes to books.
NOTE: Amazon has not posted it in 2 hours so it might never be seen which is OK, I wrote what I wanted to say and got it out of my system :)

I read the first 3 books of "The Iron Druid" a few years back and never got back to the series even though I loved it, was trying to get my rating as an Amazon reviewer raised at the time but I WILL get this one which starts a new series and hope it is funny and not silly.
Kill the Farm Boy

@Zander - I burned through this series and loved it on KU, you get the first 3 book together (which is good because it is kinda chaotic a bit but settles down by book 3, only 5 books for the original story arc but a 6th book coming out starting a new story.
