222868 OK, I now love Goodreads :) I needed some info from a previous post I wrote about 6 weeks ago for a review I am writing today on "Dark Queen" and on Amazon I might have never found it but with Goodreads you can click on your picture and one of the choices is "Comments" and all your comments are there and you can scroll through them. Loved it and needed it.

222868 Damn old age is killing me LOL, this is book 1 and from what I have read so far (on book 3) it is the weakest but there is a bit of world building and such the author passes on in a rush in places. After she settles into the new life I have really enjoyed the series.

Torn Asunder: A Supernatural Action Adventure Opera

BTW the whole series is FREE on KU

222868 Anyone that might like a series about a kickass heroine, no romance (so far) but a lot of action and decent writing but mainly entertaining and quick reads, you might try this one, I just finished book 2 and it got exponentially better, book 1 was good but they went from coed volleyball girl to demon hunter in about 2 chapters but once you get everything settled in your head it really is a good series, gonna grab the next book now then start my end of month reading for reviews. The covers are kinda lame IMHO but I love the stories

222868 @Vinity - I swear that synopsis for Prince of Midnight sounds familiar but it was published 28 years ago so I may have read it when it was in paperback :)

I have not had the time to read a lot of her books but I did read Driving Mr. Dead and it was great, really wanted to read the whole series but other shiny books took me away :)

A Tracker's Tale Is probably the biggest surprise book of 2018 for me, I really just thought I was doing a favor for a little known author, I did not realize she was giving me a diamond :) I should have given it 5 Stars but my copy had some formatting problems that made some of the location/POV shifts a bit chaotic but in rethinking it I should have verified the final copy did not have that problem. I could have read more about her life and adventures for many more hours . These days many folks won't spend $5 on an unknown author, I wish she had put it on KU

222868 UPDATE on Planet Dragos I contacted Thea Harrison and her reply on those 7 pages:

"It is not a misprint: we uploaded a dummy file to set up the pre-order, and the real file will be uploaded shortly. If we had realized so many people would notice and be concerned about this, we would have chosen a different route to create the pre-order page. :) This is a novella, around 30-33K words."

222868 @Sharon - you are evil, I added the first 3 books of the Soul Summoner to my TBR since 3 books for FREE on KU is kinda rare :)

222868 I was about to pre-order this until I looked and surely it is a misprint but I am NOT going to pay $3 for 7 (yes 7!!) pages. Sometimes authors upload what is basically a placeholder file and I hope that is what this is since she is calling it a novella and not a short story.

222868 3 Stars was a book (actually 2 books) that had a story I enjoyed but was pulled down by poor writing basically in this case :)

222868 Well I could not remember what I had written about Accidentally Married but here goes, it is actually 2 books , the title book and the one about his brother "Accidentally In Love" along with a short story and a couple of teasers.

While both books had great stories the telling was a bit poor and filler with sex that did more to break up the flow of the story than add to it. The base story in each was good enough to keep you reading but I scanned many pages in both stories (mostly sex) to keep the real story going, the hero here is not really the brothers but this guy named Adam who is a bit of a "fixer" who I wish we could see more of, without him these stories would have been much more boring.

I am not going to write a review as such but might copy this post into the review slot just to let people know what they are getting. I have to say that by the end I can only give this collection 3 Stars for both heroines who had no consistency and were cast as "nice" girls and suddenly became submissive sluts in a sexual situation which was not a problem as much as it was more of a Jekyll /Hyde transformation than anything a real person would do.

Now to find something better to read I hope.

222868 re: Accidentally Married well first of all it has the same cover as one of the excellent Royally books Royally Screwed which a lot of us read (which may be why you think you may have read it). Second it turns out the main book ends at the 26% mark (I did like it but the writer made the heroine look like about 3 different people, one of them a bit of a slut) and a novella about his brother (who I was wondering about is included so I like that, just starting it) plus several promo type things follow that so I would say I enjoyed reading it in spite of things I found useless (did a LOT of scanning on too many sex scenes) but the core story was good and I enjoyed it.

222868 (sigh) well Accidentally Married has a great story but is seems chapters 12-14 so far are a bit of literary porn than any worthwhile story, but I assume they end up married (from the title) and they have been partying around Vegas. I assume it is going to get back to the story lines soon (I hope)

I LOVED A Tracker's Tale maybe because I was not expecting a book that hit my mood for a violent ass-kicking heroine LOL

The Accidentally Married sold itself with that teaser, no way I could NOT buy it after reading all that, murder/sex/drama/drug cartels/billionaire all in just the teaser LOL, whats not to love :) It had a touch of insta-love but still liking the story and you know it is going to get action packed at some point, I got to get some sleep tonight but finding a good stopping point is hard.

222868 And THIS is how Amazon sucks me into buying a book I did not even know about. I was looking at the books I mentioned above and saw this book Accidentally Married and thought "OK, I will read the teaser just in case..." it was a long teaser, enough to get you well into the story and now I HAVE TO BUY IT! LOL, read the teaser at your own risk
