RE:
Marrying Winterborne on Amazon it was hard to tell what was book 1 and 2 for some reason, the rest were numbered. I tend to get a bit OCD about reading series in order LOL so I may have to grab
Cold-Hearted Rake just to maintain my balance :) I like really good historicals but in my search for good ones I have read a lot of mediocre ones.

The security of Alexa is fine but there are certain things I don't bother to turn on, the phone/contact system is one of them. Many of the problems you hear about are due to other "skills" that you have to obtain, they are not part of the basic set of skills. I love mine and use it for many things but I never turned on any "skills" (which are basically apps) that allow her to contact anyone via phone or any other method, I am not so lazy I can't use my cell phone :) She does have the ability to read any audio book you have purchased on Amazon which is nice even though I seldom use it since I just have not fallen in love with audio books (I like my own voices in my head LOL)

"lack of notification. " - I have noticed that also, I have to follow a lot of authors (Facebook, newsletters, etc) to try to keep up and results in a LOT of junk/spam email and still miss a lot of releases.

Re: Autism in general - Don't talk about it much because it is so frustrating, we have 2 grandsons from 1 of my daughters and another from my son and all have autism (the 2 granddaughters are fine) , there is no history of it in either family tree and one of my grandsons was born in Kuwait and raised in India the only real common factor is the immunizations but supposedly science says that is not the cause according to prevailing thought but fixing to have grandson #4 (first child for this daughter) and she is with a doctor that practices "delayed" immunizations just in case it is a contributing factor, so we shall see but it makes me nervous with our family track record

@Mindy - Hang in there with
Twice Bitten and yes the mother as I described it in my review "wins the Mommy Dearest Award hands down." is horrible but things get really confusing and the story gets really good as far as the "whodunnit" parts, I gave it 4 Stars because by the end I really liked it and of course there will be payback :)

I voted but I really was wondering why out of all the Dean Koontz books they picked
Watchers when by almost all measures the
Odd Thomas series would have been a much better choice.

Normally I avoid books about royalty but these were good. The..."You need to get book 3 to finish the trilogy off, it was much better than book 2 IMHO
Royally EndowedUpdate: Just read your last line, looks like you did read them all :)

"I would start at the beginning" - which would be ?

I had not read any T. S. Joyce but since some of you were talking about them I went and took a lot WOW, there are about 100 of these books, where do you start or does it matter?

@Vanessa - listening to it would have been better since the character and scene changes were chaotic which would not have been as bad listening to it I suspect. I had a hard time trying to figure out who was talking

I tried to read
How Hard Can It Be? but it was just too chaotic and not as funny as I hoped so gave it up after a few chapters and grabbed
Storm Crossed which already looks to be a much better choice even though I was hoping for some humor but will trade good writing and story for questionable humor and writing skills.
Melindeeloo wrote: "I started listening to Shadow Study which is a continuation of the poison study series. But i felt i was missing something - references to previous events that weren't in the earlie..."I read the first trilogy of the series and really enjoyed it but felt like the continuation was lacking whatever it was that made the first 3 books so engaging and so after a few chapters into book 4 I just dropped it.
It seems that Amazon does not track your older book purchases, I just looked to see when I read the "Study" trilogy (it was not even called "Soulfinders" trilogy then if my memory serves me but it seems I read them prior to 2010

Well I finished
Deadline and it was great and the hook (1st book 99 cents, next book $4) worked perfectly since I grabbed book 2
Monster immediately but I had $2 saved up in credits so that helped.

Reading
Deadline and is really good although the "mystery" seems almost impossible, going to be interesting to see how it was done. I am a little miffed that she took someone I kinda liked from her other series and made them (so it seems) a really bad guy
