I had read all the other books first so that may have flavored my thoughts, she just finished making new releases of all the other books in the series to tone down the sex which was my only real problem with the series, it was too much sex for the story to carry IMHO, she was getting mad about people calling her books "porn"

222868 @Aussie Girl - I had a bunch of library pix this : "Strahov Monastery is a Premonstratensian abbey founded in 1143 by Bishop Jindřich Zdík, Bishop John of Prague, and Duke Vladislav II. It is located in Strahov, Prague, Czech Republic"

222868 I am loving Prince of Fools :

" Are you going to be sick again?" He asked
"Has the river stopped flowing" I asked
He snorted
"Then yes" as I added another streak of color in the dark water

222868 I think one of the negative things about this format is when I pull up all the members I can see what everyone is reading and there are just TOO many shiny books! (I saw one called The Witch's Vacuum Cleaner and I HAD to see WTF that was all about LOL)

222868 @Karen - I saw you were reading Death's Servant and I think I enjoyed it more than the rest of the series

222868 I can say that Mark Lawrence has the skill to make you root for unlikable characters after reading a bit of Prince of Fools

222868 Well, the need for such pictures should be rare and the above 2 options seem to work best :) Back to books LOL

222868 If you see any weird pictures, I am trying to figure out the best way to post a photo that is not a book cover, Photobucket seems best but if anyone clicks on the pix it seems they get some ads

UPDATE: For anyone who wishes to display a photo that is NOT a book cover and does NOT wish to use a 3rd party website, the easiest way seems to be to upload the photo into your Goodreads profile, then just rightclick and choose "Copy image address" and past it into your post and then add < img src="your image address you just copied" > (you have to remove those extra spaces I put in that example or maybe I can just use that same format with ANY photo on my Google Drive??

(more off the wall pix to come for a minute or 2)

I had to wait a long time between The Broken Empire and The Red Queen's War due to the length and the fact that The Broken Empire was such a stressful and emotional trilogy I did not really want to dive back in very soon.

222868 Welcome to all BTW and just a note, at the end of your last post at the bottom of the page there should be a sentence something like "You are following this discussion (instant email)." with an EDIT link next to it, I suggest you use one of those first 2 choices of Digest or Individual Email (my choice) to keep up with the group, this will keep you up to date without drowning you in emails or leaving you unaware of what we are discussing here.

The Broken Empire
The Red Queen's War
