222868 re: Farscape

Start here for 44 episodes and then you have to get the Peacekeeper Wars movie that tied all the loose strings together pretty much

I can't remember exactly when it pulls the rug out and you realize that it is not paranormal because he kinda drags you along a bit in a paranormal/urban fantasy/science fiction type plot and slowly turns it into a science fiction series, kinda masterful since somewhere around books 10-15 (or earlier) it is space battles, aliens and pure science fiction.

222868 Well I finished Royally Screwed and it was good, since I still needed something light, funny and enjoyable I looked at book 2 Royally Matched but the story just did not sound like something I would really like and so I read the synopsis for book 3 Royally Endowed and it sounded great, only like 5% into it and already sure i did the right thing and the story sounds addicting and the teaser in the first few pages (5 years into the future) just hooks you into the book immediately. Everything I can see and from other reviews says that if you read book 1 you have all the background you need and this seems true since she is going into details of the main couples past, I feel skipping book 2 was a good idea.

222868 WOW, at $9 for the Tangled ebook it better be good (but the reviews seem to support it)

222868 I was not in the mood for my reviewer assignments and since I have some time I decided to stick with light and happy stuff so grabbed one some of you recommended and so far seems like a good story (but it looks kinda like a Cinderella story so who don't love that)

222868 Many of us are still figuring it out but one thing about it you can Google almost anything and get some good instructions. The first thing is to make sure you get an email when anyone posts, that gives you a link if all else fails :)

222868 "recommendations for other similar sci-fi series? " - looks like paranormal but it is not :) Takes a couple of books before you realize that it is really all science fiction, amazing series (none of the spin-offs measure up to the original)

Death Becomes Her up to book 19 (think it is about to end) and still loving it

It does have some slow sections but it DOES get really good :)

I had forgotten about that, I will let a few episodes go down and see how it goes, it looked wonderful but I was a bit concerned it might just keep me frustrated a lot with with doctors with superiority complexes

222868 Thanks Kristi, I decided to grab one that a few people recommended a few weeks back when I was looking for humorous historical romance, Schooling the Viscount , I was about ready to chunk it in the DNF bin at the 10% mark (which tells me my reading mood is not good) but it started getting interesting and a bit funny finally :)

222868 I thought I saw where a few of you recommended Royally Screwed (and I want to be sure this is the right one, there are at least 4 books with this title). I got $7 in free benefits for choosing slow shipping and I can't wait to use them LOL

Most important though, is it really good? Worth the $5 ?

222868 @Melindeeloo - "I've been mostly lurking here, so I was surprised to see that I am a mod:) What are my duties?"

There are none :) I just did not want it to be considered "Doug's" forum and in case we actually get some real trolls/spammers you have the ability to delete any post, mostly just want to keep it as friendly and non-confrontational as the original forum.
