222868 I was in one of those "nothing sounds good" moods so I dug deep into the TBR and pulled out this one The Soldier's E-Mail Order Bride , I had read the first one last year and it was a decent read and did not tax my brain much so I thought why not see if it works twice :) (the first book The Navy SEAL's E-Mail Order Bride was pretty good and they are not as cheesy as the title suggests. (the first book is FREE to everyone BTW)

Is this a series that needs to be read from book 1?

222868 I have to say that To Catch an Heiress is one of those books that you can see the "movie" in your head as you read and it is hilarious.

222868 @Vinity - OK, you are off the hook, any book that can start with a sorta/kinda rape scene and have you laughing at it and the bungling kidnapping that follows has got to be good :) To Catch an Heiress (all this before the 15% mark)

222868 @Kristi - I think we are almost all reading something different this month :) I am reading Romancing the Scot and still trying to figure out if I like it or not, story is good but she does a bit of heavy handed social issue preaching woven into the story (not subtle at all)

222868 re: Hellequin books - Another excellent series that I have let get away from me, I need to go back and start over I think it has been so long, it was a great series, I think I was just trying to work down my TBR at the time (useless endeavor indeed)

222868 Sadly due to work demands Wicked Scribes will be shutting down or maybe passed over to somebody else to run. Most of the time the few I have known to be passed to a new person they seldom make it

222868 @Vinity - I always like to have some books that are fun to read and make me laugh in my TBR just in case, so if the $15 I just spent on these 2 books are don't live up to that it is your fault :)

To Catch an Heiress
How to Marry a Marquis

222868 OMG! I am still confused as to how I missed Grace Draven's story Sunday's Child when it was originally released but I did and just finished reading it (and now reading the extra story she included in this new release"King of Hel") it was freaking exceptional.

222868 Guess I will correct myself, it WAS in All the Stars Look Down BUT that title is no longer available in ebook on Amazon so I guess I will grab Sunday's Child

222868 Well I was so disappointed in the choice in the Goodreads awards I wrote in The Dark Messiah in Science Fiction which I loved and it seems that once again the indie books are getting buried but this one seems to have a large enough fan base it might make it, great book in a great series.

222868 I think I am going to wait and read the last 3 "King" books together, I am tired of The Entity slipping away in each book. I want it to be done LOL

222868 Well I finished Ransom Canyon and it was a really great reading since pretty much things worked out the way you wanted them to, some minor complaints but nothing that really interfered with my enjoyment.

222868 I quit Lilith Saintcrow a couple of years back, I try my best not to support authors who involve actual religious/political/pet causes in their writings. in her writings it seemed to have a definite bias that crossed the line on more than 1 of those things and even though I enjoyed the series (name I have forgotten) I feel you have to have some rules in what you read. You don't get to blatantly or subtly push your moral or political views off on me . My 2 cents and freely admit that she may be guilty of none of these in real life but her writings (that I had read) did reflect those biases. This was based on 1 series so it may be skewed.
