I think some of you read the first book but the second one apparently came out today with no fanfare.

That had to be the most bumbling first night of marriage I have ever read LOL

OK, I was still in a mood of needing some humor and started The Duchess Deal and at the 12% mark I have already laughed more than I have at many rom-coms from cover to cover (and the infamous cat scene you mention is not yet upon us)

Yep, definitely have moved to the next level of addiction LOL

It does pick up the pace but some of what she is doing is setting up background for the big shift that takes place in the next book since from all I can read we are leaving the Lakeside scenario behind mostly

@Vanessa - re: Born in Fire the synopsis and your info makes it sound like she ripped huge parts of the plot from a Kate Daniels book (which if it is really good, I don't care LOL)

Dealing with contractors today has slowed my reading but still reading The Wicked Billionaire and it is probably the best book I have read by this author, usually I read them because her publisher sends them to me (and some other REALLY good books) but this one looks to be a keeper even with the over-the-top alpha H, the sex was played down a bit for once and that helped the story a bit also (still a bit more erotic than needed IMHO but these days I feel like a prude sometimes)

@Vanessa - "if she died then Sere would too? " - I felt that was a plot hole since it did not match up with anything they had said or done previously or later in the book.

I looked everywhere to see when the next book might be out but nothing and she cranks books out about once a month almost but she has at least 3 or more series going at present.

Since you can never have enough books that can make you laugh I took you people's advice and 1-clicked The Duchess Deal

@Vanessa - I still love the stories so The Silver Spider was still a great read but as a dedicated revenge junkie, the ending kinda sucked for me :) If you are a more responsible adult it might not be as bad for you (I am really curious to hear what you think when you finish it)

I ended up with a very small roof leak was all ($300 for a quick repair) storm went south of us and seems that hurricanes and such pack almost all of their damage to the east side

@Vanessa - I read both of the "dragon" books and really felt cheated in that second book with no revenge and suddenly trying to make me think like "no hard feelings" for that evil bastard. Felt more like she got tired of writing (or wrote herself into a corner) but I will still read the next book

I have read 2 of her "A No Ordinary Hero " books and they are 3 Stars (maybe close to 4) reading but the last one let me down terribly with a much milder ending than it should have had plus I still have problems with sex with prisoners no matter how gilded the cage. First sentence of my review

" Let me be clear on something, I don't care what the situation, when you are having sex with someone you kidnapped and are holding prisoner it is a form of rape in my small mind. Just because it may seem consensual I see Stockholm Syndrome, call me odd but it is a bias I am not ashamed of at all." so if you can get by that it becomes maybe 4 stars LOL

Looks like it is more to sell their products and maybe some support for them. I also think I might like it here after all, their is a bit of a learning curve but you can do more (once you can figure out how) and the chances of getting your posts deleted are minuscule.

Started this one tonight The Wicked Billionaire for review and it is turning out a LOT better than I had imagined so far, most of her books I have read have been good stories with overdone alpha male H and a bit oversexed, already got the alpha male thing, we shall see how the sex goes but has been zero at the 30% mark but a billionaire Navy Seal is a bit of a stretch

Finished Royally Endowed and it was worth the money and I have no problem not reading book 2, book 3 does wrap it all up so these 3 are it so it seems but it was only released in August so there is always a possibility but seems unlikely
