Finally starting
Eight Simple Rules for Dating a Dragon been down a bit and reading has suffered. Need something like this I think

I can tell you the cover does not match up with the mental image you get from the story or at least not for me.

I have finally had to face facts, I will never be able to read all the really great books out there since they keep making new ones!
That
Agent of Enchantment looks really good Karen and it is on KU but I am getting overloaded on so many series and good books I can't keep up. Pass the Valium

@LAB - she swears she has it about finished and is hoping to get book 3 out this summer, I asked her about it 2 weeks ago and she said
" I finished book 3 last summer, but I'm not happy with it. But I can't pinpoint why. Then I had to set it aside to finish books I had on contract. I'm about to be free again. I will reread book 3 with fresh eyes and see if the problem jumps out at me."
I have been waiting almost 3 years and will probably have to scan through book 2 to get my head on right :) Amazingly good series.

@Vanessa - "It had periods of interesting action and periods of sheer boredom, and it lost me" - much of the same here with the biggest thing is the realization that the Time King was the most powerful of them all, the "traitor" thing got really convoluted IMHO. I also was expecting a really WOW book and it really was not but I guess it was satisfying overall.

Well finished
The Time King and have mixed feelings, it was too long but then again there were about a ton of loose ends to be tied off and then she set up things for a spin-off (or 2) so it was a good ending but the set up for everything seemed to take forever . I am not going to bother to write a review on this one because I have so many mixed feelings, part I am sure is I overhyped it to myself and it did not live up to that in some respects and did in others. I guess I would say it was a 4 Star experience and a great end for the series if somewhat boring/confusing at times which can be said of almost any book that uses the "alternate universe" thing. Some of the spin offs might be interesting, time will tell ...

It is the last book and I cheated and skipped the next to last book :)

Screw ALL the books I am supposed to be reading, been waiting years for this and it is finally here, the final book
The Time King

Well we have 152 members and about 3000 posts since Amazon dumped us so we are doing pretty good and we pick up a couple more every few months, this is a long term thing here that I expect will be around for many years since it is still one of the best places to get recommendations in more than just a narrow selection of 1 genre (although we are supposed to be PNR/UF LOL)

I must have missed this being announced by Ilona Andrews
www.amazon.com/Unti-Hidden-Legacy-Nov...

LOL, I was thinking the same thing :)

Part of it is that we don't all read the same thing as much as we used to and I think we may have lost a few people along the way who did not follow or just did not like Goodreads

OK, reading the last book published of the Junkyard Druid so I can get back on schedule
@LAB - re:
69 Million Things I Hate About You was a great read but the next book in the series sucked IMHO (surprisingly I DO have the top review for this one, go figure, just confuses me even more)
www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/RA...

Ok, this is probably just me whining but I can't get any logic to the way Amazon presents reviews anymore, I have the most popular review for both
Lake Silence and
INK: A Love Story on 7th and Main the first one is a 5 Star review and it is displayed at the top of all reviews, the second is a less than gushing review but is buried. I am wondering if there is a "will help/hurt sales" line in the algorithm now?? There is a 5 Star review where the reviewer says she has not even read the book and it is displayed in the top reviews WTF indeed LOL??

Curse you Junkyard Druid, you are wrecking my reading schedule. I keep saying I will stop and pick it up later but these books don't end on a cliffhanger but they do end in a "I gotta see what happens" type ending so I am on book 3 now. Great storytelling so far
Melindeeloo wrote: "I finished reading INK: A Love Story on 7th and Main, it was cute, but sort of trope-y. No paranormal bent at all...."I gave it 3 Stars and apparently that was not a popular opinion LOL. Since I have never given anything she wrote less than 4 Stars (most 5) I thought I was being honest. It was a good story but nothing truly outstanding IMHO (and in Amazon's new mystery review display, I had the 3rd most popular review but still buried. one of the "top" reviews says she has not even read it yet!!!! WTF indeed, , go figure) ok, rant/off

I started reading
Junkyard Druid and it is a LOT better than I expected and is different since it has some humor, action, everyday drama and a bit of depression hanging over it all which I assume will dissipate at some point. Unless it really crashes I see a marathon coming so it is really good they are all on KU

Well read
Twice Bitten by Lynsay Sands and while it was a really great story (4 Stars and one of the better ones of the last few) I still miss those early books that made me laugh out loud but I am beginning to think she is never going to return to that level of humor. This was a bit of a combo of murder mystery, high drama, and romance and she did it well.

Just saw this on Zoe Parker's FB page:
"if you bought Elusion, update it on your Kindle. It's been reformatted and updated. Just saying! Ascension is next. Paperbacks will also be avail soon!"
