Yes, I learned the hard way you don't pre-order KU books :)

I grabbed the KU deal twice and extended my subscription to Feb 2021, that is like $5 a month, don't have to get many books to make that a savings. This is what I keep in my KU queue at present (although I also usually have several books from the worlds of Michael Anderle, this is a bit of a temporary exception until I can get back )
Witch's Reign (Desert Cursed Series Book 1)
by Shannon Mayer (author)
Three Mages and a Margarita (The Guild Codex: Spellbound Book 1) by Annette Marie (author)
Cunning Devil (Lost Falls Book 1)
by Chris Underwood (author)
Shadow Hunter An Urban Fantasy
by BR Kingsolver (author)
Lost Moon (Vampire for Hire Book 18)
by J.R. Rain (author), Matthew S. Cox (author)
Knocked Up by Prince Charming: An Accidental Pregnancy Romance by Lilian Monroe (author)
Longinus The Vampire: Redemptionby Alan Kinross (author) (NOTE: This is book 2 in a trilogy)
Battle Mage (An Epic Fantasy Adventure)
by Peter Flannery (author)
Cursed (Coven of the Raven Book 1)
by Shona Husk (author)

I am not complaining but at the same time WTF???? I jumped from #75 to #49 in one week???????? I see nothing that would support that and it kind of mutes me enjoyment of the Top 50 moniker

I am only 19% into it but I would very strongly suggest you grab a copy of
The Wallflower Wager at your earliest convenience, it is great and I am just getting started :)

Well for once the readers took offense to the horrible choices in the Goodreads Choice Awards and wrote in
Holy Sister (IMHO the obvious choice to win) in Fantasy and
Sapphire Flames in Romance (uh, it is Ilona Andrews, of course it is the best book LOL ). Sometimes our voices can be heard :)

I tend to dislike Jack The Ripper stories (and there are a ton of them) but the only reason I tried this one was because Kerrigan Byrne was the author and I am not disappointed in
The Business of Blood but I have to admit that the first 20% of so was wearing down my interest but I can say that if you stick with this one you won't be disappointed. Excellent story in a genre I really don't like (something I don't expect to change) but great writers can make anything interesting :) Also it is FREE on KU

I had to remove my vote for Patricia Briggs but as much as I loved that book,
Holy Sister is in a class by itself, maybe it is because you really had to read the 2 previous books to really appreciate it.

"Holy Sister" is probably the best fantasy book and the most well written which shows you the shallow pool this list was made from but I will go add it, it should have been there without a "write in"

The Goodreads Choice Awards seem to get worse every year
@Frisco - The only book I voted for was Patricia Briggs also, sad
CORRECTION: I almost forgot I voted for "The Unhoneymooners" also

For those who need a good 5 Star historical romance (you need to read book 1 to really enjoy this)
Angel in a Devil's Arms came out last week and if you have not read
Lady Derring Takes a Lover you need to read it first to get the background (and a wonderful book also)

I am officially jealous :)

I did furnish her with a review every month or so. I need to ask her if she would like me to keep that up or not. These kinds of things usually require a clean break :)

That site would be a huge amount of work, I hate to see it go also :(

Sounds like a fun time Vanessa, hopefully there will be one of these type events close enough I can go.

I have had to be writing product reviews and putting a few things up on eBay so it took me about 3 days to finish
Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating and I loved it, "zany/madcap" are 2 words that are really not in my vocabulary but it describes this book.
I did have 1 thing that I had to really force from my mind to enjoy this and that is when she admits somewhat gladly that she has slept with about 30 men (she is about 25 ) I found it hard to just throw it into the bag of "Crazy Hazel" that her other eccentricities all went into but I guess it shows my own thoughts since she makes a point of saying that if she were a man it would be no big deal ......... someplace north of 20 male or female would make you somebody I probably don't want to know. I guess I am not that progressive, we read a lot of erotic stuff in these books we buy but I found it odd that I found that so objectionable. I think it may have been because it skewed my view of a character that I really liked and other than that statement she was quite the zany and not sexually active character so I guess part of it was that it did not line up with the character in the book even. I think I am rambling now so I will shut up LOL

Doug, did you read their new release Twice in a Blue Moon? :)
..."I read the synopsis and the 2nd chance romance angle did not appeal to me but if the first one is that good I might have to grab it.
For KU Users or people that like good deals this is 99 cents today and the story sounded too good to pass up for that price

LOL, I will wish you well on that puppy training :)
