If I had the time I was do a reread.

Reading another historical romance called
To Catch an Earl and it is a good one, female thief falls for Bow Street investigator, sounded kinda lame to me before I started, well done so far and interesting. Of course our heroine only steals for a good reason LOL

and I will definitely not be buying this book. Black Jewel booo!"I know I was disappointed, I wanted more "Others" books :)
Lulu wrote: "DemetraP, I really liked Chasing Cassandra, I wanted it to keep going for several more chapters!"Seems several of us had that same reaction :)

I finished
Crush the King and loved the way she wrapped things up, some minor picks but overall a great ending and a bit of a surprise that even my revenge junkie was pleased :)

Th..."There is a ton of background and he switches the timeline around at times but trust me it all comes together exceptionally especially by the last book, one of the very few stories I can truly say I REALLY hated to see it end so much and not being able to read about these characters anymore it kinda depressed me for a few days. 2 of the stories in my "Top 10 Ever" list are written by Mark Lawrence (The Broken Empire and Book Of Ancestor) while another of his trilogies was a huge disappointment : ) (The Red Queens War) . The Broken Empire is one of those I think you either hate it with a passion or you love it for the masterpiece it is but he makes you root for one of the most horrible anti-heroes ever and some folks can't get past how horrible he is :)

Now run buy a lottery ticket LOL You are on a roll!

I am reading
Wild, Wild Rake and it really has been good but I hate the stress when what looks like the HEA happens at the 60% mark so you KNOW something bad is going to happen. Seems like almost every historical romance I have read in the last year has that same twist.

You were right about
Chasing Cassandra I really did not want it to end, seemed like there was more story that could have been told :) I have never hated for any book/series to end as bad as I hated Book of the Ancestor trilogy by Mark Lawrence to end, the idea I would never read any more about these characters was horribly depressing.

Chasing Cassandra"That one is in my TBR awaiting my attention :) Sounds like I need to get to it.

Anyone read this? First time I saw it, at about 110 pages it must have came from an anthology but I need to read it , looks good

I am reading
Siri, Who Am I? and it is one of those books that it starts good, gets a bit boring and about the time you think you are going to find something else to read it grabs your interest again :) I forgot who recommended this but it is a good story and you can't figure if you actually like the heroine or not and since she has amnesia you can't even be sure if you are going to like/hate her later LOL

@Vinity - I kind of agree, the sex was way overdone IMHO but I did love the story but the relationship was a far cry from the near masterpiece of
The Kraken King . I did love the ending chapters and the fact there was no cliffhanger so I gave it 4 Stars but after about the first 2 sex scenes I just scanned through them and some of the dialog might be how a semi-barbarian would talk and the "vow" she was under just added to a bit of frustration since it was like "can we get this over with and get back to the story". I know people reading this might think I disliked it but I loved it because I loved the story in spite of the shortcomings.

DAMMIT, I really loved this series and now I am about 3 books behind

For anyone who has read the series
The Fate of the Tala is a great ending book, there will be a book/novella to tie up a couple of side stories but this ends the main characters story from teh original trilogy which began with
The Mark of the Tala . I would strongly recommend the original trilogy as a 5 Star reading. This ending book is officially part of the The Uncharted Realms series which was a follow-on series to the trilogy and mainly were novels about what were important secondary characters but to be honest it should be considered an 8 book series plus one spin-off which is the last (I think) to tie up but promises to be a great revenge story (my favorite) and these books can be read as a separate series but play a part in the final book of the Tala.
This spin-off series "Chronicles of Dasnaria" starts with a horrible story about a totally innocent and brainwashed since birth girl who becomes more than could ever have dreamed and I loved the second book but there is one more book to be written (last book I assume) and I can't wait, I think she said about May

I am enjoying A Heart of Blood and Ashes - it is hard to put down"I also read
A Heart of Blood and Ashes and while I was not a fan of the hero for a good portion of the book it was hard to put down :) Loved the ending
