And because you cannot even have too many books, I requested it, it sounded like fun. Sometimes you get in a mood where you really want to read something to make you laugh. Sadly my next 2 books look to be fantasy with a lot of dead bodies around :) I also am trying to fit Sweep with Me in, I can't believe I left THIS one in my TBR this long.

Well since you named the best ones, I think this series is also in that league at least for the first 8-10 books (there are 16 in the series plus novellas). More in the vein of Black Dagger Brotherhood but she does not torture her characters as much :)

222868 Reading A Heart of Blood and Ashes and while loving the story it seems a bit more erotic than called for and tends to waste my time in places but overall I can see I will be reading what I assume will be a trilogy until the end. Unless I misunderstood something this is Nalini Singh writing under a different pen name. The H is really hard to get to like but you eventually do since he has reasons that combined with grief make him a bit hard to accept our heroine, but it is a process :) Still too much time spent in sexual or near sexual situations IMHO

222868 Well because you can never have enough books I added this one to my TBR for only 99 cents sounded like a steal The Weaver

222868 Well half way through The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie and while it keeps you kind of glued to the pages I have to say it is a bit dark and I have a hard time seeing where any HEA is going to happen but I guess that must be part of the allure.

I laid Fireborn down and have never picked it back up, wasn't bad but I was having to force myself to keep reading which I hate to do in general and especially when I know I have good books waiting to be read :)

222868 Well did a marathon of all 8 episodes of The Witcher and while I am now totally hooked, I also feel cheated a bit since if you put all the repeats of scenes together it would probably add up to over half an episode. Now begins the long wait LOL. The skipping around in timelines is about the only real complaint and a bit of what I considered boring filler. It ain't GoT but it might get there

222868 Cable TV shows seem to think everyone wants to see maximum sex and violence in our favorite TV shows on cable, what could have been one of the best shows on cable but in the first 2 episodes we had rape, massive amounts of violence, killing of pregnant women and then to top it all off we got to see the "King" taking a dump in the garden. Yeah, pretty much ended that even with a good story line. Hope they don't ruin the Witcher but it IS a violent story with many plots where he has bad choices and worse choices. While "Game Of Thrones" was far from PG rated, I never felt that it crossed that line.

222868 Not sure about the books but in the game he has a lot of "you want the really bad choice or the even worse choice" type scenes :)
