What happens when a monster hunter falls for his prey?

Harrison Key has one job—hunt and destroy monsters. He’s taken out vamps, shifters, demons…it’s all in a night’s work for him. He protects the innocent and destroys the wicked. Case closed. The job doesn’t pay much and the benefits are literally hell, but a hunter is born to the work. Gifted with super strength and speed, Harrison was created to fight monsters. There is nothing else for him in this world.

Then he meets her.

She looks like innocence but makes him think of the hottest sin. When Harrison first meets Elise Aine, she’s surrounded by vamps who are only too eager to take a bite. Harrison stakes the vamps and intends to walk away from Elise, but she has other plans. She says that she’s under supernatural attack. Elise desperately needs his protection, and she’ll pay any price. One look into her dark and gorgeous eyes, and Harrison can’t walk away. He doesn’t want to walk away. He wants her.

What Harrison doesn’t know…could just kill him.

Elise isn’t human. Not by a long shot. And she’s got big plans for Harrison. Sure, the guy may think he’s a hunter, he may believe that his job is to rid the world of the wicked, but he’s dead wrong. And with her help, Harrison may just turn out to be the wickedest one of them all. Because he’s not really a hunter. He’s something far, far more interesting. And hot. Smokin’, in fact.

He just needs to let his wild side out to play…

As the queen of the fairies, Elise was born to trick and deceive, and, with way too many enemies closing in, she needs the most powerful protector imaginable at her side. Harrison is her destined mate, if he’ll just stop fighting monsters long enough to see that deep inside…he is a beast. A beast like no other. One that can blast fire and soar into the skies. A beast who can only be bound and tamed by love.

Betrayal burns deep and cuts hard.

Can the queen of the fairies show a hunter that even monsters can love? Or when he finds out the truth about her, will rage be all that Harrison knows? Either way, things are about to get red-hot. Watch out for the flames and smoke.

Author’s Note: SLAY ALL DAY is a stand-alone with action, humor, and plenty of hot times ahead. Sit down, buckle up, and enjoy the ride!

Elise, a fey princess has been banished to Earth by her brother who wants to rule. With a spell on her she's basically human but is determined to return to her home and her rightful place on the thrown....the only thing she needs is an army....or one beast that's as strong as an army.

Harrison has been a hunter all his life, raised by his dad to be alone, to hunt, sleep and hunt again. He doesn't do attachments...... until he stumbled across a mouthy little human who seems to know a lot about him. What Harrison doesn't know is that his sexy little fey is about to unleash a beast he didn't even know existed

**********
Yo this was fun!and so funny! I enjoyed being in Elise's head and her snark and sass made this book for me. She actually deceived Harrison in regards to her identity and I'd actually expected It to be the reason for a trumped up separation here but nope this author kept it flowing!!!

Both mcs were likeable, secondary characters especially Beaux were just as awesome, a fast paced and humorous plot where the bad guys literally burned and I'm a happy camper!!!

I'm looking forward to more from this author

Both non virgins though no details but the H makes general references that implied he'd been a ONS fanboy but considering he thought he was human and she was from a race of known sensual beings I'm thinking sista got her some too so I was cool with it

5 "Beauty and her beast" stars!! There is so much to love about this story and I can't wait for you to discover it all. From the banter between the characters, the amazing world building, all of the action, the intense doses of romance, and the incredible chemistry the characters shared, it was way too easy to fall in love with this book. Elise was a mystery from the beginning. I knew she wasn't human, but I couldn't figure out her true motives or her reasons for being on Earth. What I did know was that I loved her and all her badassery!

"I am a fey princess. I am a blood-born fey. I am a freaking prize, you get me? Men fall at my feet. They kill for my smiles and my favor. Sex with me is mind blowing. I am amazing, I am powerful, and I am not some random thing for you to disparage."

Harrison was raised as a hunter and was now the best hunter out there. He had super human vision, hearing, strength and healing. He took down monsters and he loved doing it. However, he was so much more than he seemed and Elise was determined to awaken his beast. The love that developed between them along the way was both unexpected and profound.

What woman wouldn't like for a man to kiss her as if she was the most important thing in his world? To kiss her with a consuming lust? With demanding need? With sweet, sweet possession?

Slay All Day is a perfect blend of suspense, mayhem, magic, and love and an easy recommendation to make for fantasy and paranormal romance lovers everywhere!

“Holy hellfire!” This was one seriously amazing read! With so many twists and turns, lots of secrets, some intrigue, and plenty of scorching hot moments, I was captivated from the first page and could not put this one down.

description

I absolutely loved Elise! She was feisty and cute, kinda clumsy that added to her charm, and while she believes herself to have a dark soul, she proves to have anything but. Being in her mind when she found herself making the right decisions was often a laugh out loud moment. A lot of what she did or thought was cause for laughter. She was just too freaking perfect and definitely a top favorite heroine of all time for me.

’She wasn’t exactly some terrified damsel and that made her even sexier to him.’

description

Like all of this author’s heroes, Harrison was perfection as well. He checked every one of my boxes for what I hunger for in a hero. Most of all he has the “mine” mentality, even when he doesn’t understand where the heck it’s coming from. His protective instincts are off the charts and even when he should be questioning what’s happening around him more, his first action is to insure Elise’s safety.

’Mine.
The whisper came from deep inside. That deep, dark place inside that he tried to ignore. A place of savagery and darkness.’

Things between Elise and Harrison begin and continue on a fast track, but no over the top behavior here. Just pure deliciousness! While Elise has a plan and Harrison can’t stay away, together they are soon caught up in a crazy ride that will pull you along at warp speed. And with all the madness surrounding them, there is the intense chemistry that continues to grow. There are some seriously scorching moments between these characters that will require readers to keep a cool drink and a fan close by.

This has so many surprises with twists and turns that will have you turning the pages as fast as you can. Sure, some of them you are aware of, but only because you’re given the clues to lead you in the right direction. But rest assured, there are so many delicious “oh my gawd” moments, you won’t be disappointed.

I’m so freaking excited about this wild world Ms. Eden has created and I’m crossing my fingers and will even use bribery if necessary, to get more! If you’ve never read this author before, this is the book to start with. If you’ve previously read her work, then you already know that you’re in for one heck of an experience that will leave you happy and sated when you finish the last page.

“I take women back to my place only if we’re planning to fuck.”
And yes he did take the heroine to his house only they didn’t have sex there.

“I don’t make love, baby.” He stepped back. “I’m not looking for some happily-ever-after ending. That’s not what hunters do.” Now he paced around her and moved toward the fire. “We fuck. We give our partners so much pleasure they scream.”
“Hunters have incredible stamina.” ~Hero to heroine.

I guess the heroine wouldn’t mind having sex in the same bed the hero has had sex with his ex lovers.
I rather not read this coming from hero’s mouth. I don’t mind it from heroine. I’m hypocrite, I’m tired of reading manwhores heroes who fuck their way around.

The heroine was ok. She kinda remind me a bit of Valerie- my love. The key word is kinda no one is close to Valerie.

“You put a spell on him,” Razor accused. “You got him obsessed with you. The room reeks of sex. You put some sex spell on—” “Oh, please,” Elise sighed. “Sex with me is just that good. Yes, I said it. Good enough to obsess a man. No spell required.”

“I’m basically the queen of the universe,” Elise announced flatly. “And my heart is as dark as they come. So don’t worry about happy endings with me. That isn’t in the cards. Instead, I’ll make you love me. I’ll make you need me. When I have you completely wrapped up and lost in me, then I’ll use you to do my most wicked bidding and you will be helpless to resist.”

Anyway. She was a tad bit weak but she had me laughing of the things that came out of her mouth. At least she wasn’t a shy little virgin.

Finally this author is back with a paranormal romance and I for one loved it ! Don't get me wrong I do enjoy her romantic suspense stories but my first love will always be something a little more magical and this book certainly gave me all the feels I wanted.
Harrison doesn't mess around he gets stuck in and gets the job done. So saving a woman from Vampires is all in a nights work to him but there's something a whole lot different about this particular victim. For a start Elise is the most beautiful woman Harrison has ever seen and then there's the fact that it sure does seem like every supernatural creature she meets can't wait to get their grubby, grabbing hands on her ! Yes there's definitely something different about Elise but is she in more danger from Harrisons fellow Hunters ? Surely not because they hunt the monsters but what if there's a monster hiding amongst them ?
I'm a tad disappointed with the synopsis of this book as it gives away secrets that I'd rather have discovered as I read but I'm definitely not disappointed with the story. In fact in many ways this turned the traditional alpha male as the hero who saves the day trope on its head because its actually Elise who holds all the answers. Gotta love it when a woman cannot only save herself but her man too ! Expect passion, betrayal and surprises when you read this but most of all expect to be entertained because this book shows just why I like this authors work so much.
This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

3 Underwhelmed Stars

Hunter Harrison Key has one job/focus to hunt and kill the monsters that lurk in the world – with a reputation for being merciless and cold – he finds himself double blinking when he comes across Elise Aine, as she is surrounded by vamps more than a little eager to take a big bite from her. Determined to rid her of the vampires surrounding her and then leaving he somehow finds himself continuously crossing paths with Elise, who has her fair share of own secrets.

The heat and intensity I’ve come to expect when it comes to Eden’s PR books just wasn’t here. I found it way too easy to put this one down.

This is one Eden book I won’t be re-reading.

4 - "… If you need me, scream." Stars!

Another PNR winner from Cynthia Eden, and perfectly timed for release just before Halloween. If you like monsters and shadows, and things that go bump in the night then Harrison and Elise’s story will be right up your street.

"I can’t even leave you alone for five minutes before you find trouble…"

Full of action adventure, thrills, fights, spills and explosions, as well as the usual suspense of now knowing what’s going to happen next, who is the real villain, or how everything will work out, Slay All Day is Eden giving her readers exactly what she knows they love to read.

"It’s hot when you get all protective…"

Slay All Day was the perfect Halloween read! Eden included characters from every walk of paranormal life, with plot twists that I never saw coming. Harrison and Elise were two strong characters who held their own but were even better together going to war against the baddies.

The one thing I can always count on with Cynthia Eden is a wonderfully written story. She has a beautiful way of weaving a tale and charming me with her characters.

I have to say that I totally love Elise. She spends most of the book cracking me up. I can't help it the girl (elf) is so funny! I love how she learned so much about herself in this story. She learns that she's more than an evil princess.

Poor Harrison, he's had a hard life. He has shut himself off from those around himself not really knowing why. As they get to know each other better I think he really learns who the real Harrison is. These two might have been pushed together for all the wrong reasons but in the end, they realized what they each meant to each other

I was saddened that at one point his friends turned on him so quickly. They didn't care about Elise even after she did all she did for them. At that point, I felt they were real jerks and didn't care for them at all. Of course, more happens and some of them turned out to be not that bad of guys. I kinda wished that we weren't left hanging at the end about two of his friends. You'll have to read it to know what I mean. Evil, right! Ha!

This is a fast-moving, fun story that kept my attention on it. I didn't want to put it down until I knew what happened with both Elise and Harrison and maybe a little spider. Bet you want to read it now to find out more about the spider. Worth it!

This is the perfect afternoon read that is just in time for Halloween. You won't want to miss out on reading it.

Reviewed on 31 Oct 2019:
It’s Halloween and what better book review to post today than one about the supernatural? Slay All Day is a paranormal romance (PNR), a highly anticipated book for me ever since I learned Cynthia Eden would be releasing it in October.

Harrison Key is a hunter. He hunts monsters and that’s his life in a nutshell. Then one night he ends up saving Elise Aine from vampires, a woman who’s supposedly an innocent but has a secret agenda of her own.

I liked the two main characters a whole lot. Harrison was the big, bad broody hunter with trust issues and he had good reason to be wary. As a hunter, he couldn’t very well turn his back on a beautiful, sexy woman when she needed protection. I enjoyed the sparks flying between them, especially how she baffled him.

Elise was a curiosity to me. At first she appeared to be a flake but she had her own reasons for acting as she did. I warmed up to her very quickly. It was hard not to like her. She was strong and resourceful, with deep protective instincts that endeared her to me.

Slay All Day was an absolute delight to read, with terrific characters and a fantastic plot-line with hidden secrets and twists that made it so much fun I couldn’t put it down.

Review posted on Got Fiction

This was a hugely anticipated release on my part, not just because I love Cynthia Eden, but because it’s a Paranormal Romance! I think she writes the best Paranormals out there, and this book is no exception. In fact, it’s exceptional.

With a sassy and funny heroine, Ms. Eden takes a dark and gritty hero and lets him break his chains a bit. She doesn’t often write the sassy and fiesty heroines, but when she does, look out! She does them right!

Harrison is a hardened monster hunter. He’s spent his entire life being raised by his tough love dad. Attachments make you weak. Friends make you weak. You can’t ever have love since it makes you weak…you’re seeing the pattern at this point. But when he rescues a damsel in distress, his walls start cracking.

My favorite line was at the beginning when he first saw her:

“He had to save her. Blah, blah. He’d heard the story before. A million times. Just another night’s work for a hunter.”

Elise is more than just a damsel in distress. She is a human damsel in distress. At least she is now. Usually she’s something Other. (I won’t spoil it!)

Harrison doesn’t know what to think about her. She’s human, but she doesn’t act like a human. Not really. She’s really excited about mundane things, and says things like, “I think I need clothes. Everyone seems very concerned with clothes in this town.” As if it’s a weird quirk of the locals.

Elise needs Harrison’s help though. She’s in danger and at the moment she’s human. But with every Other coming after her, she’s worried she won’t see the next full moon.

I loved this. The story was fresh, the characters were new, the world was intriguing. The personalities were so different from this author’s normal vibe, and I loved it. I loved every bit of it. I really hope we see more PNR from Ms. Eden.

Enjoyable once you stop eye rolling at each sentence where Harrison states how he has stamina, fucks does not make love, bla bla bla
The heroine was nice enough, but I had a hard time reconciling her « powerful supernatural status » with how weak she sometimes seemed.

Slay All Day features a woman who appears to be just another damsel in distress and a hunter who appears to be just a man slaying monsters. But, all is not as it appears. Elise Aine is as far from a distressed damsel as Harrison Key is from a typical monster hunter. The difference is that Elise knows exactly who and what Harrison is while he is baffled by the woman who appears human and has requested his help from the monsters that hunt her.

There are plenty of secrets to be revealed - on both sides - but, if you read the full synopsis, you'll learn some before they're unveiled within the story.

Elise Aine has been cursed. She’s lost all her powers she needs a hunter to keep her safe but she’s hiding a huge secret. Harrison Key is a monster hunter born and bred. He doesn’t have time to be a body guard. He is drawn to Elise and he is much more than just a hunter. So much betrayal on all sides to overcome.Another great paranormal romance just in time for Halloween. As always lots of witty interaction and humor, sexy alpha male with some crazy twists. Lots of action and sex scenes hot enough to melt your Kindle. Overall another great read.

So good! The witty dialogue and sassy talk is awesome! Easy read. There are a few twists and turns and a bit of angst. I hope it’s the start of a new series! Elise and Harrison have quite a few hurdles to overcome and reach their HEA.

This book was so much fun to read. I am so glad that this book was not full of sex scenes like the previous books of this author.
Kick ass characters. Maybe there will be a book about Ardon. An Anti-hero type book.

He was created to fight monsters. Taking out vamps, shifters, demons…it’s all in a night’s work for Harrison Key. There’s nothing else in this world for him until he meets her. He saved her and he intended to walk away, but Elise Aine had other plans. She desperately needs his protection and she’ll pay any price. But what Harrison doesn’t know…could just kill him. Elise isn’t human and she’s got big plans for Harrison. He just needs to let his wild side out to play.

‘Slay All Day’ is a bit of a twisted fairy tale full of suspense, rockin’ emotions, betrayals, secrets and a rip roarin’ romance that shouts “MINE!” to the rafters! The chemistry between Harrison and Elise is fully charged and ready to rock their worlds but this spirited relationship has a bit of an issue – monster hunters don’t have relationships… Lots of heated passion, emotional turmoil and some chuckle worthy, arguments flow throughout this relationship building and readers can’t help but enjoy the ride.

The plot is fast paced with suspense, action and excitement building throughout which keeps readers on an adrenaline high but add in some ‘really?’ twists, some ‘OMG’ twists, some ‘heck yea!’ twists and ‘no way’ twists and you get non-stop, nerve racking action with a side of fun and a courtship that defies everything that readers thought they knew because no one is who or what they seem in this energetic read.

Harrison spends his nights hunting all things that go bump in the dark. Elise is on a mission to stay alive by any means necessary... even if it means working with one of the most dangerous Hunters known in their world. Can Elise stay alive long enough to reveal to Harrison secrets he didn't even know...that he didn't know? Read and find out!

I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book and just like the title it SLAYED ALL DAY!

I loved the main characters! Elise was funny and wasn't afraid to go after what she wanted...Harrison was strong and 100% man enough to handle everything that Elise had to dish out. Together Elise and Harrison were unstoppable. This book was great, I cant wait to see what comes next!

This was a really good story because when you thought the story was about over it basically starts a new part of the story just past the halfway point. Our couple seem to be on a chaotic relationship and at times was almost a love/hate thing but there was a bit of insta-love which is not a favorite of mine but since the main body of this novel is the story and not the romance other than to fit the couple into a really entertaining plot.

Without trying to write a novel myself this was a very entertaining story, did not scan anything, several surprises I liked so 4 Stars and was pushing for more.

The man has no qualms about being extremely blunt, “because you’re sexy as eff and my ***k is rock hard. I’m a horny b*****d, and I can’t take my eyes off you.” Harrison likes to get responsibilities out of the way before fun, “we’ll finish that…” Harrison assured her as his eyes gleamed, “as soon as I get rid of the wolves.” I really loved this book, I loved harrison and Elise was just quite blunt.

Wow! This story blew me away from the beginning and I did not put it down until I was done. Harrison is Hunter, a Hunter for monsters that go bump in the night and he kills them dead, stone dead. Lol. He meets Elise about to be some vampires dinner. Elise enlists his help amd wittingly has him bond to her, all without Harrison knowing what she truly is. Lol. Vampires, Wolves, Hunters, Witches, are all somehow invested in keeping secrets. Poor Harrison my heart broke for him. He was the biggest secret of all. Filled with action, non-stop humor, death, hot loving, betrayals and a HEA for Harrison and Elise. Maybe Ardon will get a story? Lol.5 Terrific, Amazing, Sleep Screamer, Wondrous stars*****

P.S. Did I tell you that I FREAKING LLLLUUUURRRRRVVVVVEEE DRAGONS!!!!!

Banished to the human world, cursed and attracting all things supernatural Elise seeks the help and protection of Harrison, a hunter. Though her plans for him extends beyond him being a hunter… because she knows a secret that will change everything Harrison ever knew.

The story started off promising but as the story progressed it just flopped. I dived into this book blind so I was keen to learn more about Elise and her truths but I also found myself putting down this book quite a few times, wish there was suspense to just keep my attention. I think I just expected more from this author.

Loved this book it was awesome. I love a good paranormal romance fantasy book and October is my favorite month to read them. Elise is being attacked by all paranormals and she enlists Harrison who is a hunter of them to protect her. He is attracted to her but knows he needs to walk away but realizes he can not after she is attacked the second time. She has a hidden agenda and he knows she has secrets. There is a lot of twists to this story and it keeps you guessing. I loved Elise’s banter and I loved how Harrison’s temper showed when she was in danger of being attacked while not knowing what was really happening to him. This is a fast paced read.

If you are looking for a sexy, action-packed, paranormal story, then this is definitely the story for you! Elise and Harrison had this great chemistry and banter that was a lot of fun to read. I thought they also developed a deep connection. Another reason I found this story so exciting was because of several unexpected plot twists. Just when I would think the story might be coming to an end there would be another twist. There wasn't a dull moment in this story for sure. I highly recommend this book and author!
