222868 Just as a note, Quicken almost makes you backup on a regular basis and the best place to back it up is the free Google Drive everyone can get for free, I used to have to go in and delete really old backup and stuff but when you signup for Google Fiber they gave me a TERRABYTE of space so I can keep backups going back years if I wish :)

The point is you will never lose anything more than a couple of days since Quicken makes you backup (takes less than a minute and I have a large file)

222868 Another thing anyone might need to know that I found out through experience, ANY government program that is not responding can suddenly become responsive if you take the problem to your Congressman, my congressman's office made what would have been months of trying to get a answer or get benefits started became a couple of weeks after they got involved. If your representative's office does not maybe you voted for the wrong person :) Do not try to fight the VA or SSA on your own if you have problems.

222868 I had a similar problem with my Mom several years ago after Dad passed away and she was living alone for a few years and then burned the house down which as it turns out was mortgaged to the max. She wanted to move in with us and I knew my life would be hell since her and my wife have been at odds for years (that is putting it mildly) so we found her a place that would take care of a few basics and she still had her independence and turns out she loved it. Parents living with their children can only work out in a few cases where everybody has the same goals and the parents realize that they are no longer the parents (this is hard). Putting them with people their own age also gives them a better life since they tend to develop a more sedentary lifestyle living with the kids. My 2 cents and there are wonderful alternatives no matter what the economic status is, turns out my Mom had some benefits nobody had ever heard of only for WW2 vets widows that pretty much paid for her living arrangements. Took me a lot of research to find everything and I did take over most of her finances just to be safe other than a nice amount that went directly into her checking that she could do whatever she wished with it. Sorry did not mean to write a book :)

222868 I only made it through book 8 and it was getting repetitive IMHO at that point. The first 5 books were amazing and I think I am glad to have forgotten most of it so I enjoy the series without thinking "it did not happen that way"

And being old as dirt I read them as they were published LOL

222868 There has to be a reason a book with a cast of characters so numerous I can't keep them straight, barely a plot or story and yet I laugh out loud and can't wait to get back to it when I have to stop reading.

Welcome to my insanity of the Honey Badgers and Breaking Badger

222868 Anyone that has enjoyed The Palace of Rogues by Julie Anne Long I just finished the 3rd book and loved it I'm Only Wicked with You and Netgalley already has the 4thy book up for request if you have an account. I usually try to wait to close to publishing time but I think I may have to start this one much sooner

222868 Just finished I'm Only Wicked with You (The Palace of Rogues, #3) by Julie Anne Long and it was really good and the unique part for me is that most historical romance revolves around some adventure but this one was pretty much 100% romance but she managed to keep the reader entertained with good writing and word banter. I would recommend starting at book 1 (this is book 3), I have enjoyed them all

222868 Well I finished The Many Sins of Lord Cameron and while it was not quite as good as the first 2 books she does have a way with very good endings in all 3 of the books in this series. I shall start The Duke's Perfect Wife but this series was only 4 books when I first saw it a few years back now there are 11 books???? There were only 4 brothers, looks like we have added some relations. I am going to have to give this series a rest while I do some ARCs like I'm Only Wicked with You and Breaking Badger

222868 A couple of years ago I think I read The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie and REALLY enjoyed it, I gave it 4 Stars and almost 5 for some minor thing but one thing was the way it was described was I had no interest in reading about his brother in the next book Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage and as happens many times I was cheating myself, I just finished it and it was probably a better book overall and a superb ending. Now I must finish the series and still read the ARCs I have promised to read and review (and the 200+ products) . I do strongly suggest reading books 1 & 2 together as it adds to the enjoyment. Now I have to decide if I will give Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage 4 or 5 Stars, probably 4 since I thought it followed too many books in excessive pages dedicated to sex but an excellent story, excellent romance and a 5 Star ending IMHO. So now on to The Many Sins of Lord Cameron

222868 "They also said many times that they were done with Kinsmen, and the newest (long) novella is Kinsmen. Plus, Edge characters make appearances in the Innkeeper series"

What novella?? I have The Kinsman Universe but I bought it 4 years ago, is there a new one I missed?
