That was a 5 Star book, I loved it

222868 I have written over 3,800 reviews but reviews like this make me want to scream "You are not writing a damn book, just a review, get your ego out of the way!!!".

222868 Somewhere over the last 5-8 years my hands have decided that "teh" is the same as "the" and spells it that way consistently so I make autocorrect earn its money LOL. Seriously though it does bother me since it is a habit I can't seem to break

222868 Well Meant to Be Immortal after starting so good and keeping me wondering kind of threw everything out in a few moments, was anticlimactic and the ending felt rushed. Still liked it better than the last several but she really could have made that closer to 5 Stars with a little effort, I gave it 4 since I did enjoy it.

222868 "vampirates" - that does not even sound like a good idea :)

222868 Well I am happy to report that while Meant to Be Immortal is not up to the humor and good times that was in the first books of the series at the 70% mark I did stay up until I was about to fall out of my chair last night so it is a lot better than most of the last 7-8 I have read in the series. It is almost a "enemies to lovers" story in many ways since she doesn't want anything to do with any man (still waiting on the history of why) and so there is no insta-love here, he is having to work for it.

222868 Well I lied, I forgot I skipped Immortal Angel, for whatever reason it just did not sound interesting to me

222868 Well I am about to start an ARC of book #32 in the Argeneau series, I can't believe it has been that many books and I have read them all some much better than others and almost all in the last several years not as good as the first 10-12 books but I still love the series :)

222868 Well I finished Last Strand and I had to force myself to only give it 4 Stars even though I really hated to see it end after all these years so emotionally I wanted to give it 5. Curious to see where she goes from here, Hugh Tucker would make a good hero for a book but Gin is just going to settle down to making BBQ for now

222868 This was on sale for 99 cents for 3 days and it was just too shiny to pass up although I have no idea when I will get time to read it LOL

Being a book addict with a growing TBR is troubling (and sometimes expensive i.e. The Murderbot Diaries)

222868 Well let me add to this list of mishaps. Back in the 70s we had our first house and it had been inhabited by a single father with animals (they were human children I was informed, I was not sure) they had left behind all kinds of things to be dealt with. Soon after we moved in the kitchen sink was stopped up so 22 years old genius Doug got a can of Draino (in the 70s it was VERY powerful and very dangerous) I poured about 1/4 can down the drain (who needs directions, I am a man! Why would I only use 1 capful when I can use more) sure enough in a few minutes the drain was unstopped ...... a few seconds later all that water was in my floor along with the Draino. A very expensive lesson, plumber, and new linoleum for the kitchen plus some minor repair to cabinet under the sink. To add insult to injury, the cause of all this was a wooden popsicle stick that had been shoved into the drain and kept catching stuff until it blocked the drain completely. I am proud to say that this experience did make me take the time to learn some basic home repair like how to disassemble any drain under a sink. Takes a bit more time but you can actually clean out almost any problem in minutes and the assembly is pretty simple once you do it a time or 2. There is no Draino allowed in my house these days :)

222868 Well I like to keep a few easy reads in my TBR and I had read this first book sometime ago and liked it so you can get all 5 books and only use 1 slot in your KU or like me and just spend the $3 to get them all permanently. I like to use my KU as additional storage space for my TBR and once every month or so I will actually read one of my ten and then go looking for a replacement LOL. These 5 books average about 110 pages each so they can be read between much longer books you are not ready to read (I may be over-thinking this)

222868 Well I binge read the first 4 books of the The Potentate of Atlanta series a few months ago (exceptional reading) and burned out a bit but I am starting the last book and it already has me hooked Moment of Truth

222868 Just finished The Devil in Her Bed and liked it, still need to write a review but it seems to be like her other books in the series in having a hard time warming up to our hero until about the last 25% and some near TSTL moments from our heroine but since she was kinda badass I still liked her. I will be giving it 4 Stars but this series she seems to be writing a bit more erotic than her other series (which I like better)

222868 Just finishedThen Came You which is book 1 of this series and it was almost 5 Stars but I have a personal hatred for plots that depend a lot on 1 member of the couple keeping a secret that has no logical purpose other than keeping the plot going. Even with that it was near 5 Stars for me (meaning it probably is 5 Stars for most people)

222868 Well I had to stop reading other stuff and get my ARC of Quiet in Her Bones done. I have to say this turned out to be a bit of a problem because I found the book getting boring and a bit repetitive around the 4th chapter and after the 5th I just skipped ahead to chapter 45 randomly and was shortly riveted to the story and read it until the end at around 2AM so I gave it 4 Stars because I did love it, but then again I skipped a large part of the book which says a lot about what was between chapters 5 and 45.

Read my review it gives a lot more about why and how I gave a 4 Star rating to a book I read about 25 chapters of a 65 chapter book (including the epilogue) and gave it a 4 Star rating
