You have reminded me I haven't read the last "Others" book yet. I have recently discovered the joys of our local library and they have a copy there so I will visit this week. I still think this series is one of the most original I have read in the last ten years.
Paula wrote: "I didn't realise that a new Veronica Speedwell book is out at the start of March.
."I'm looking forward to that. I already reserved it when they get it in at our local library.

That's the sign of a good book, not wanting it to end. Really looking forward to reading it now.

Chasing Cassandra"I've got that one to read as well this week. I believe it's the last in The Ravenals series.

I just finished
the latest Jeaniene Frost. I try to keep the expectations realistic with this series after all the anticipation of Ian's story and turning the manwh*** into a faithful loving partner... but I think she's actually achieving this. I enjoyed it, it still has the quips Ian is famous for and the cheek.
Lulu wrote: "Bec McMaster's newsletter is out and you can download a copy of her free epilogue to the London Steampunk series! It's pretty long and it will be available for sale in a week or two but it is free ..."I've downloaded it and going to start reading tonight. London Steampunk is one of my favourite series.

I should look that one up again.

I think a lot of the paranormal writers have been dropped and are self publishing. Bec McMaster is another who still writes a great story.

I had preordered it in 2017!
I’ll keep the preorder in the hope that it publishes some day.

Hope you are recovering well Vanessa and taking the recuperation time to read... a lot.

TINNGG, packing up and clearing out our loved one's things after they've moved to supported accommodation or on to a better place is really hard. I've had to do it twice and both times it knocked me for six. It's like dismantling the person you loves, life. It has taught be something though, my kids have already said they are going to donate/throw out all my "treasures" so no hoarding for me, LOL. The only request I've made to them is to take my books to donate to goodwill or the library or otherwise I'm going to come back and haunt them!
I'm reading
which has a Sleepy Hollow theme. Quite well written although it has a bit of YA vibe to it, I didn't check if it was before I started.
Vanessa wrote: "Thanks for the good wishes. Lisa we truly are sisters from another mother. I'm reading Omens too, on audio."Vanessa, we definitely are, LOL.

Al the best for your surgery Vanessa. Hope it brings you relief and you can get back to your normal activities. Enjoy the down time while recuperating to get into those books!
I'm reading
. After reading Rockton and Nadia Stafford series I sort of see a pattern how she writes about these "strange" little towns and people who don't quite fit. Enjoying them.

Thanks to whoever it was here who recommended
. What a refreshing read and quite a different approach to have a Lady of the Night as the main character and although it's off page is still "active" in her profession. I thought it was well written and you got an insight into the London of the Georgian period and the time of the Bow St Runners. Last time I was in London I walked all around the area of St Giles, Covent Garden and the 7 Dials trying to imagine what it was like in that time. I'll definitely be reading the next one in the series.

It's finally raining in Australia. Big yay. Not enough to end the drought but we'll take it!
I'm going to get to some of those books that have been languishing on my TBR for a while. Picked up this
. Really enjoy the writing in this - Blud peacocks working in tandem with Blud Unicorns... say no more, LOL.

I've read all the Outlander books. I much preferred the earlier ones just too much superfluous details in the later ones so now I read them over a couple of weeks with some lighter reading inbetween.. (eg space smut!)
As for the show, not a fan. The actress who plays Claire just isn't her in my mind and I can't believe I'm saying this but all those sex scenes. They worked in the books but not so much in the series. Jamie is hot, they can't keep their hands off each other, yada, yada, yada...

Happy New Year Ezi. Good to see you popping in.

Thanks book buddies! We had a stressful 2019 and hoping for a more restful 2020.
And Yes, Vanessa, isn't this the final Veronica Speedwell? I'm hoping for a very romantic scene with Stoker when they admit their feelings for each other.. and a bit of smut wouldn't hurt either, LOL.
