If you want something a bit more than paranormal romance this is a great series.
. Book 2 is just being released now.

First, TINNGG, I hope everybody recovers quickly!
We actually got some good news. DH's biopsy was negative for lymphoma! Despite all the str..."I am so happy for you. That's great news.

It does seem very overwhelming (I know from our experience) but treatable is good. Hope all goes as well as it can just take it one day at a time.

So happy for you that your bookstore is going so well.

TINNGG, I am so very sorry for your loss. So sad.
My next up paranormal read is
. This first came out only in audio so I've been waiting quite a while for it to be released in kindle/print.

So sorry to hear that Kristi, sending you sincere sympathy on your loss. I know what you mean about being sad and relieved, but lovely you have such wonderful memories.

I've been reading
. The world building with the four different Londons in different dimensions is really imaginative. I quite like this author, I really loved

Well I live 5 mi..."Have a lovely retirement, BJ. I'm sure your reading vibe will return, probably too many new things to see and do in your retirement life at the moment.
Not sure when we'll retire.. probably never. We do have our oldest son and DIL in our family business now.. we'll probably just fade off into the sunset some time, LOL.
I'm not reading much paranormal any more.. my latest obsession is the Cormoran Strike books, and then watch the series on TV. JK Rowling can certainly write a good tale even under a pseudonym. (Robert Galbraith)

(view spoiler)[ She will have Daniel die at the end of this series, I think it's a trilogy? ... then bring Lydia back at a later date as a mate for Blade. Am I a bad person, I'm okay with that... (hide spoiler)]

Oh no Kristi, the call/email everyone always dreads when you're away. Wishing you and your husband all the best.
I'm a big JR Ward fan.. but I have no thought of reading her YA novel. Just doesn't appeal to me. Next up I have
and then
which I've got on my Kindle and I've been saving for a long plane flight coming up.

The question of Queen Charlotte's ancestry is interesting. One account I read put forward the theory that her 13th great grandmother could have been a Moorish concubine that the King married. Back in the 14th century I think. So yes, the evidence is pretty thin on the ground. I'll watch the show probably but just as a fictional story as any historical romance is.

Thanks for checking in Kristi.. sounds like a fascinating trip. Safe travels.

When I'm looking up a book I'd rather not see an advertisement in the middle of the page that I have to scroll past just to see reviews."I totally agree! Why do they continually have to play around with the format. And I hate the way you have to go hunting around to find information and tags now. (Shaking head... )
Melindeeloo wrote: "I finally got my waitlisted copy of Killers of a Certain Age for the library, I've been waiting since you all recommended it way back when, so far it's entertaining."I just finished reading this and really enjoyed it. A bit of a departure from Deanna Raybourn's historicals but it just shows a good writer can turn their hand to anything.

I did Greece to Dubai, including Israel, Egypt and Jordan late last year.. and so glad we were in a tour. Especially in Egypt.. pyramids and Valley of the Kings breathtaking, going through the numerous check points and airport security not so much.

Happy New Year. Hope it's a good one for all.

Just popping in to wish everyone a happy Christmas and Season's Greetings.
Hoping 2023 is a very happy year for us all.
