I'v read 87 books toward my goal of 365 books. At my current pace, I'm 7 books (2%) behind.
I'm not on the same pace I was last year and to me it seems the reason for that is I seem to be starting but not finishing a lot more books this year than I did last year. I figure if I'm about 75-100 pages into a book, usually about a third in, and the book is just not grabbing me that it's not worth finishing so I just put it aside and start another, but that means I've wasted an hour or so that I could have spent reading toward actually finishing a book.

In this week's Printers Row Journal, reporters Mark Caro and Christopher Borrelli discussed film adaptations of literary works. How closely should a film stick to a book's plot? Must the characters look as they are described in the book? Here
