185 I don't know if this is it, but maybe New Kid on the Block?
185 I'm fourthing Speak!
185 Someone else was looking for this book in this topic as well (and this one too!).
185 When did you read this? And do you know when it might have been published.

@Sarah: I don't think it's Tuck Everlasting because there's no actual time travel in that one.
185 Link to Maia
185 This probably isn't it, but the plot reminds me of Breathe My Name.

185 Great! Luckly I remembered someone else looking for the same book, haha.
185 Thirding Deep and Dark and Dangerous: A Ghost Story. That is almost certainly the book you're looking for!

I suggest checking out some of Mary Downing Hahn's other books too. They're pretty good kids' books.

185 Could it be Apple Tree Christmas?

Someone else was looking for that book before.
185 Link to Moon Tiger.

Someone else will have to shelve it though :]
185 Seconding The Westing Game. I just read this one for the first time.
185 It's not The Face on the Milk Carton is it?
185 Shadowland by Meg Cabot?

I think I have read Mother Hulda as Mother Holle. Shaking duvets to make snow?"

I believe those are one & the same. Frau Holle is the original German title, but Mother Hulda is often how it is translated.
185 Hey Alexa, I have just a few questions :]

Do you remember about how old the girl was? Also, was this set in contemporary times or in the past? And when did the ghost boy die - recently, or in the distant past (sometimes books like this have boys who died during a war or something like that).
