I suggest checking out some of Mary Downing Hahn's other books too. They're pretty good kids' books.

I believe those are one & the same. Frau Holle is the original German title, but Mother Hulda is often how it is translated.

Do you remember about how old the girl was? Also, was this set in contemporary times or in the past? And when did the ghost boy die - recently, or in the distant past (sometimes books like this have boys who died during a war or something like that).
