177170 I only have 2 chapters left of A Game of Thrones but I have to go to work! Gah!
177170 They are! I feel like Arya has more of their father in her and Sansa more of the Tully.

Sam is starting to get more confident in himself and I love it.
I love how Mormont pointed out his friends have more honor than Jon since they brought him back.
177170 She has all these ideas (jumping out a window, pushing Joffrey off the battlements...) but never follows through!
177170 thoughts while reading:
Jaime may be a strong warrior, but doesn't have much battle sense.
Tywin is not a very good dad. He seems to be a smart man, but cares more about winning and power than his family. He insults Tyrion, doesn't seem to be a fan of Joffrey or Cersei....

Dang, that was kind of an intense dream! I can only imagine what it all means since most dreams we've come across so far have had some relevance to real life.
"The shadows have touched you too, Ser Jorah." I wonder how they will affect him. We know how Dany was affected already.
Wow. She definitely acted years beyond her age. She has gone through quite a bit already.

So NOW she doesn't want to marry him.
And now we're getting more glimpses of the true Joffrey.
I'm starting to feel bad for her. She's stuck with the people who killed her father.
177170 They are! I really want to learn more about them. One ended up at the wall, one is in exile, the matriarch is a warrior... how did all that happen?! lol
177170 Do you think someone could have sent him after her? So not so much luck as much as it was planned?
177170 thoughts while reading:
I wonder what it was about Jon that Ned and Bran talked about in his dream.
"Robert was betrothed to marry her, but Prince Rhaegar carried her off and raped her," Bran explained. "Robert fought a war to win her back. He killed Rhaegar on the the Trident with his hammer, but Lyanna died and he never got her back at all." ← This sums up the start of this story so well!
Poor Rickon. :( I'm not sure he's going to turn out to be that good of a kid. He has a lot of anger in him.

Rumors will forever be a part of any culture, in any time, in any world-it's human nature!
Freaking Joffrey man! He's such a bad kid. He's all about revenge and what not instead of thinking things through.
Was it luck that Yoren found Arya?
177170 thoughts while reading:
Poor Drogo. :(
uh-oh Dany!
This is definitely not a good situation for either of them to be in.
177170 thoughts while reading:
Catelyn says she's always waiting for her guys to get back from battle, but she's not very good at waiting sometimes. She went after Ned. She went after Robb. If she had just stayed at Winterfell and waited there... things would have gone much differently!
I think it's awesome Maege Mormont is a fighter.
177170 thoughts while reading:
The clansmen are kind of entertaining and definitely interesting!
Tywin is not very nice to his son.
His armor sounds like it would look quite entertaining. Definitely a hodgepodge look!
All the battle talk is a bit hard to follow and a bit boring. I kind of skim it.... lol
177170 I'm curious to know where Illyrio got them from as well.
177170 thoughts while reading:
Drogo is kind of a badass. It does somewhat bother me that he only thinks she's fiery because of his son in her, not because she is also kind of badass.
177170 thoughts while reading:
I find it interesting that Mormont gave Jon his son's sword. I like it.
Mormont is way more observant that I've ever given him credit for previously. He was smart (I hope) for sending Alliser away.
OMG I just had a thought about (spoilers for show and future books) (view spoiler)
"He was all alone, he thought, apart from the others in the litter. He was different, so they drove him out." I wonder if Jon feels like he was driven out. The wolves do reflect their owners to an extent.

I think it's safe to say that Frey's daughters are not exactly beauties.

Oh the joys of arranged marriages."

I'd imagine they aren't very pretty. "The Freys all looked like weasels..."
177170 thoughts while reading:
"Did you teach him wisdom as well as valor, Ned? she wondered. Did you teach him how to kneel?" One could say Ned himself didn't know how to kneel...
Lord Frey is definitely not a good guy.
It seems like a lot of people were going to foster Lysa's son Robert (or wanted to at least).
177170 I watched the show before reading the books and I think that's made all the difference. It helped me keep track of the main characters and all the different plots/locations.
I'll probably watch the show as it comes out. I'm too impatient! I think the next books will be different enough it'll still be enjoyable.
