I know I personally have about 10 more books to read in 2014. Luckily, any books you read for the rest of the year will continue to be added to the page!Nancy - if you click the "See Your Year in Books" link above, you'll be taken to a page that allows you to share. Just look for this banner at the top of the page and click the buttons indicated to share:
Aaron, thanks. I figured it out. I had to change my privacy settings to allow the whole world to see my status. I had strict privacy settings, so I was not getting the sharing banner. Not sure I want to share it now if I have to change privacy settings.
its down to the wire. Good thing I work at two libraries and read picture books as part of my Job. Next year I'll up my goal just by 10. Happy Reading Holidays!
Doug wrote: "You do know that 2014 is not over yet."Exactly, the year is not over yet, maybe there's still one or two books to add ;)

I'm just being a curmudgeon for GoodReads calling the end of the year two weeks early. They're probably already opening their Christmas presents too.
It's been a very eventful year in terms of reading. I have tried to read more genres and more diverse set of authors. It's been a year of trying to move away from my comfort zone.

We might admit to shaking the presents to seeing if we can guess what's in there! In the meantime, indulging in home made caramel and ginger cookies that people bought into the office today ...
I pretty much passed the 100th mark this year, I really went overboard. My reading this year was amazing and I'm proud of myself. It's definitely 200 books for 2015! Can't wait to get my book reading on. Even now I'm still reading a few books lol. Reading is forever.
It says I've only read 4 books in 2014. This makes no sense - I have way more on my list that I marked as read and have rated.
You know what would be awesome is to be able to choose to read a particular number of books in a year OR to read a certain number of pages. I know I've read a couple thousand pages, but I'm way behind in book reading because I read a couple of the Game of Thrones books at the beginning of the year, which took me a while to get through, so I won't make my goal... which as someone with OCD, drives me crazy!

Wanda, have you set the date read for those books? Books will only appear if the date read is set to 2014. Here's a FAQ on how to do this:https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/2...
Goodreads is showing that I read 188 books so far this year. What's sad is that, in looking at the covers, I don't remember reading most of them!
Unfortunately I have the same problem as Wanda - my stats aren't as accurate due to not putting the date read. I can't be bothered going through all the books and marking the dates but I'll keep that in mind for next year, perhaps.
I'll probably read a book or two or three more. But over all it was a good year, rough start, but then I decided to read more classics.
My year was okay... but being so busy with other things is really making it hard to read as much as I want. I will, likely, only hit 30 books this year... and I am sad about that.
I had my best and busiest book reading year ever...I read 250 books this year and really enjoyed almost all of them.
Allie wrote: "You know what would be awesome is to be able to choose to read a particular number of books in a year OR to read a certain number of pages. I've been trying to read quick, easy books the past month to see if I can still reach my goal. I'll probably miss by one or two books ... kind of bummed!
I've still got three more books to go! I've been a little busy lately. It's 7 AM here and I'm still working since yesterday evening, but I'll find the time to read those three books. This year is not finished yet! Nevertheless, It was and average year for me. I think next year will be better. I've got a lot of awesome books to read in 2015. Although maybe I won't be able to read a lot of books this year, but I'll try to read better books instead of more books. 40 great books. That's my new year's resolution.
This was my first challenge and I started it in may but i did ok i am proud of myself i read 49 books next year I will try to read more
I joined a bit too late to do any real reading goal >~< but next year >:D next year I SHALL READ 200 BOOK MWAHAHAHAHAHAAA
I've already surpassed my reading goal this year but I'll try to read 2 more books before I share my Year In Books 2014!
I am currently at 251/250 with at least 5 or 6 more to go before the end of December. I only wish box sets were counted as more than one book. My count is much higher as I have read several box sets Werth anywhere from 3 to 16 books per set that are only counted as 1 book.

that is what I do believe
My goal is to continue to learn more about different cultures (which I refer to as "Traveling Through Books") by reading more books with foreign settings and/or in "cultural literature" and similar genres. This year, I concentrated on Chinese historical fiction and legal procedurals. (Love Michael Connelly's Mickey Haller series!)I got many great suggestions via Goodreads reviews and lists; thanks, everyone!
when i share "My Year in Books" to my Facebook feed, my friends click on the link to see the books and they get a "Sign Up to Goodreads" page. I just want them to see the books. How can i fix that?
2014 ain't over yet!!I mean there's still 11 days left and I plan to read at least 4 novels during them!
I never kept a list before. This was very interesting. Since I only liked a third of the books I read this year, I guess I need to make better choices next year!
I was wondering how it counts, I know that I have read and added to Goodreads more than 20 books this year, but my year in books only shows 6 of them...
Some interesting trends in my reading for the year. Sadly it's far less than I had hoped. One theory is the fact that as life has gotten more stressful, my reading has decreased. I should do something about that, as reading is much more important that say....sleep, food, clean clothes.
I was pleased that I read more books this year, but was disappointed that GoodReads couldn't count. I also keep a paper copy of what I've read, and 4 of my books didn't show up in GoodRead's version of my year in books, even though they were on my book shelf and rated this year (I double-checked). Not sure where the technology glitch is, but hope they can fix it!
this year was the worst for me due to work ,deaths (8). The longest book I read was 5 days at memorial. Only read so far 8 books will finish another one this week. I usually read 100 books a year
I didn't tag all the books I read this year but I am near the 20 books' mark with around 7,000 pages. Not bad considering most of the adult population nowadays, but still far from my 2007 score with 12,000 pages read that year. My " score " would be bigger if I didn't read magazines this much as well ^^
116 until now! Still have to read four more to reach my goal :) No problem now that I'm having my term exams, I'm right on it!
Excelente página, he disfrutado mucho.
Feliz Navidad y 2015 para todos.

I agree - it's not over yet and I have a few more books on the go!

That happened to me with a couple books, too... not too many though, thankfully since I couldn't read as many books this year as I wanted to (but I still met and exceeded my goal).
