Last Burlington.
The last Burlington was yesterday, and here's what I bought, other than a Pyrex casserole in the pattern I like:

The wooden box and candy tin were $1.00 each. Everything else was reasonable as well. It was a good day.

Week off.
I've been off all week. It's pretty much rained all week, too! And I was ambushed by a story that I'm still writing. However, I managed to get the Craft Room of Doom looking from this:

Although the other half of the room is still a mess and there's a bunch of fabric that needs to be put away.
While writing, I've been spinning silk. Yesterday afternoon, I glanced over and saw this:
It took me nine tries to get that shot. He was very patient!

Bread
Bread for the baked goods auction this evening.
Walnut Rye, Honey Oatmeal, Cranberry Granola breads.
Dark Pumpernickel Rye, Russian Black Bread.
And six loaves of Challah, which aren't quite done yet.

Mom, Dad, Bekah, Matt, Chase, Em, Elsa, Jess, and Rick surprised me with a birthday dinner tonight at the restaurant where Jess works. It was tasty, and it was nice to see everyone!

New vacuum, and more.
I seem to have neglected to mention that I bought a new vacuum cleaner, too. This stemmed from having to use three different sweeping implements to sweep the cat hair off one rug the other day. I was completely fed up.
I've had an upright vacuum cleaner since I moved here. I've never liked it, because it is really heavy and awkward. I've added a stick vacuum and a couple of others to the mix, but they weren't good on rugs. Eventually, I just used a plastic bristled broom on the worst rug...
