Well, after a year and a half of mobile-only Internet, I have home Internet again. There are things I can't really do with just my phone, so it was time.
This weekend's goal was to clean off the table in the library/ office so that I could have a dedicated editing/rewriting spot. I have one corner of the table left, but it's looking good so far! I also found some beeswax candles on eBay that fit into my candleholder... And made a few spindles... And Oliver found a warm spot to sleep.
My sister Jess is expecting. We are having a baby shower on Sunday. In March, I will have another nephew! And she is really into chevrons. :) (Not posting this on Facebook yet because I don't want her to see, although she knows I made it.)
So I'm still working on the "Fill All the Spindles" project. (Clearly, I have too many spindles. But once I get down to the little ones, it will go fast!) Forgot the one in progress... And the sampler spindle (for the samples that come with purchased fiber.)
New Year's Resolutions. A little different format this year. 1. Make2. Mend3. Be4. Find5. Save6. Live7. Help8. Create9. Love10. Learn I will write more about these as the year progresses.
Christmas was great, and now it's the New Year! I will post my short list of resolutions tomorrow or over the weekend. Last night, I moved around some furniture in the living room and library: The corner cupboard fits perfectly inside the closet! That meant moving the reading chair into the living room... And moving some other stuff around as well. It looks really nice!
I decided I wanted to make something with #1 straight knitting needles, just because. With the help of Grey, I now have a list of things to make with #1 straight needles! But for my first project, I decided to make an ornament with a small ball of leftover handspun singles.
It turned out really well! Now I have use for small balls of handspun, including silk!
