I have three things left on my list for outside, and I'm not going to get to them tonight. I'm absolutely OK with this, because I've been working (and on my feet) all day long, and I am seriously exhausted right now. Everything hurts, including my fingers. But hey! The greenhouse is up, and secured, and I got a lot done today. I'm very pleased. (And two th...

So this is (literally) my last free weekend before the end of May. But the culmination of all of this is that I will be off work the week of Memorial Day. So I can do this! I can!! (And each weekend has a free day; there's no weekend that has more than one thing going on, by design. I can't do multiple things per weekend, not when I have to get ready for the work week ahead.)
I have two lists, one for inside, one for outside. Subject to change, but here they are:
Obviously, I'm not going to get...

This is my Luck. My grandma gave me the amber necklace a long time ago; probably before I graduated from High School. I added the citrine heart a little later, and they've been together ever since. This morning, while attempting to untangle the chain from my necklace holder, the heart slipped off and the whole thing fell to the floor. I looked for it, but couldn't find it in the few moments I had before I had to leave for work.
Thankfully, I found it when I got home, under one foot of the lamp...

In 2008 and for most of 2009, I used my computer primarily for writing and updating this blog. At that time, I wasn't involved in any online communities, truthfully; I'd just joined Ravelry in the summer of 2008, but hadn't gotten sucked into the groups yet. By 2010, I was well on my way to spending most of the time on my computer online, not writing. This correlates with my starting to weave, and then spin.
In August 2009, I got high-speed internet. I don't think it is a coincidence that my o...

So the first Burlington was yesterday, and I'm still tired.
It was a busy day, but not a very profitable day, although we sold a lot of little stuff--and some of it had been carted around all last year, so I wasn't sad to see it go at all. There was a great crowd, the wood-fired pizza was back (yay!) and while I spent my profit, I still came home with money, so that's good. :)
The first thing I bought was a pitchfork, because the one I use to...

This has been a very busy week, leading up to a busy weekend--the first Burlington of the year is tomorrow! I spent a bit of time last night packing up boxes and containers to bring--right now I have two full containers and one box of books. I may go through my cookbooks again to fill up another box (I'm out of room, so that's not a bad idea, really) and/or other books I can bring as well. I would like to fill up one more container, but I also don't want to spend all day today packing stuff u...
