I've been back from the Bethel Arts & Music Festival for about an hour, eating supper and recovering from a long and rather cold day.

But a profitable one, nonetheless!

I have money to raise for the rest of the cost of my new kitchen roof, and so I'll be posting auctions nearly every night for the next two or three weeks (I'm actually going to schedule the postings throughout the week instead of attempting to do it all at once on the day the auction needs to be posted) so that I won't be fr...

Oliver watches me gather stuff up for ebay.
So my goal for this evening was to do a few things at once--bake a loaf of bread, since I was out, pack up the car for the Bethel Arts & Music festival tomorrow (with antique stuff; I'm not going there as an "artist" this year), post auctions on ebay, and basically stay out of the rain as much as I could. That was a bit harder than it seemed, but I did manage to get everything finished. Now I'm rather tired, though! But at least all I really have...

Ladybug eating aphids off a wild rose (that has buds!)
Star of Bethlehem flowers.
The Rosa Rugosa has a bud (or two!)
The currants love all the rain we've been having lately!
These are the raspberries. Yes, really.
And if every bud becomes a berry, I'm going to have pounds.
I found kale among the garlic! Very happy to see it. :)

Yard sales were exhausting and tiring, but I still sold a lot of stuff and only brought home the spinning wheels (which I did not expect to sell anyway; I just brought them more for the draw-in) and the yarnwinder and some stuff that will go to Burlington. Everything else either sold or will end up at the next church rummage sale. So, yay!

All in all, I made my goal (I have minor monetary goals for yard sales) and probably made about $75 on the stuff I pulled out of the Junk Room. Works for me...

See? I've been doing other stuff too--this will become a bag, eventually. Linen and Linen/Cotton blend. I'm planning to take Daisy (my Ashford SampleIt) to the yard sales tomorrow and work on this.

Otherwise, I should probably add the fact that I sowed seeds this week (squash, mostly), and I need to mow my front lawn again...

Currently in the process of packing the car up for the yard sales tomorrow. I actually have a lot of stuff--and a few boxes left to pack, plus one spinning wheel (one is in the car already) and a vacuum cleaner. Hopefully I'll get rid of most of it; what can't go to Burlington or be sold on Ebay won't be coming back with me either way; it can stay up at church for the next rummage sale.

Most of the stuff in my car came from the Junk Room. Yay!!

Things found while cleaning the Junk Room Part 2:

--A pair of sandals that might just fit after all.
--A vase full of semi-precious stone beads
--A bag full of vintage sewing needles, still in the paper cases.
--A printer. (?!?!!)
--Enough envelopes to last me into the next millennium (considering how often I mail something in a card-sized envelope, that is.)

This morning I had every intention to start slowly, but Hazel the bunny had other ideas. When I poked my head out the back door to say good morning, he was gone, and the wire door to his cage was wide open.

So I walked around the backyard and the front yard and peeked in the nextdoor yards, and didn't see anything, so I went inside, ate a quick breakfast, got dressed, and walked around the block, where, of course, I found him, doing his best impression of a bunny statue.

I had to carry him half...
