To my FList, with humility, respect and love

I have realised something important recently, looking over my year and a half on LIvejournal, and I want to raise it collectively rather than individually.

Everyone on my friends list in LJ is amazing. Deeply, movingly, humblingly, amazing.

Soundwave!!

I booked in my tickets for soundwave. I get to see My Chemical Romance live. All they have to do is *show up*. I've never been to a music festival before - can I count on my gals to stop me from getting lost?

And I'd better start checking out the other acts so I know who *else* I want to see...

Leverage

I have watched the first episode, and am 5 minutes into the second and all I can say is CHRISTIAN KANE OMG! He should play a superhero. Not Batman. He is refreshingly free of angst. Bleach him up and he might be a fine Green Arrow. Or Roy Harper. Or someone.

Also. Just. OMG LEVERAGE. I am having fun. It's as fun as Hustle, but without that tinge of smug self satisfaction. No Adrian Lester of course, but did I mention OMG CHRISTIAN KANE!

Oh dear. Poor lad. It's hardly a real rock 'n' roll misdemeanor. And to add insult to injury, this story still insists on using a photo of SOMEONE ELSE. Perhaps they think it's the one who *should* have been arrested. IDK.

Vermillion at The Empress

Jess' band Vermillion will be performing at the open mike night at The Empress Hotel on Tuesday 1 September! I'll be getting there around 7pm if anybody would like to join me.

For those who watched Star Stories' Brad/Jen/Angelina Jolie tale on Saturday

At JB HIFI I found Leprechaun in the bargain box! With Jen on the cover! And an evil leprechaun! The same bargain bin also had Leprechaun 3 in it, which inevitably means there's a Leprechaun 2 out there!

I nearly bought it. But while I'm irresponsible, I am *time poor* and irresponsible, and anyway, I was there to buy Leverage. (And that's digitalsprawl 's fault.)

Satire? What satire?

mordwen  just sent me to this post at geekfeminism.org. I think someone on my list linked to it earlier, but it has got funnier, especially with the guys who are posting in the spirit of the thing. Some people of course don't get it. Which is in itself kind of funny.
