"I Kissed a Vampire"

I've just watched the preview featurette for the web series "I Kissed A Vampire". It's as vampire musical. WIth dancing. And Lucas Grabeel (the adorable/hilarious Ryan in the High School Musical films).

I am so there.

Also. Vampire musical. The GaryView of that one will be very entertaining.

This is adorable. I'll be at Woodend over Halloween and will be pressing my nose to the glass....

Control freaks piss me off

It turns out the reason I can't get my iPhone to recognise my old phone, or Tim's phone, or my computer, is that Apple has disabled the ability to share files in Bluetooth.

My own damned files. My own photos. My own word files and documents.

I know they don't want people sharing the apps for free. You know what? Go find some other solution to that - because your control-freak fucking appraoch means I do not have the freedom of transferring my OWN GODDAMN FILES in the easiest manner, using a dev...

iTech mysteries....

So. I went to the gym yesterday. When I came out, 51 of my contacts had mysteriously reappeared in my iPhone. By the time I got home it was most of them. Then I forced a sync with my Google Contacts and, voila, everything back in order. Even the updates I'd made were still there.

Google mail and iPhone have unfathomable trysts which are not for  mere mortals to understand. Though it terms of data usage, I hope this doesn't happen terribly often.

In other news, Vermillion played at the Empress l...

My first iTech disaster

So, I was updating my contacts list in the iPhone, bringing across numbers from my old phone that were missing. And of course, being tidy minded, I was deleted numbers from the old phone as I went, so I knew where I was up to.

Then, suddenly and mysteriously, my entire contact list on my iPhone vanished. Without a trace. All. Gone.

Of course, I don't have the missing numbers any more.

Nothing I can do about restoring the contacts list till I get home now. Most of the numbers I'm missing are mobi...

Postage costs stamp on my desires

I got the message about the FOB package from Go Merch with the Greatest Hits, tour album, t-shirt and poster, and promptly went to buy it. Only to find that the postage on a US$70 package was over US$40, bringing the total to about US$113. I know the exchange rate is good right now, but OW!!

So I'm holding off until I get less circumspect or more covetous.

Sigh.

iPhone goodies suggestions please!

My shiny shiny shiny new iPhone has just been delivered! It's yet to be charged up and activated with my new phone company, but already I am scouting for STUFF.

So - if you know of any good apps, sites for iPhone3G skins or anything that wil assist the ongoing shininess of my new toy I mean absolutely necessary new piece of technology, let me know.

I've already got my eye on a useless app - the Koi fish pond.

Hey, hey, you guys are not funny

I dont' really want to go into a rant about this. I didn't watch the show. I stopped watching it looong before it stopped screening originally. Probably when I was about 13 and it was still after school. It's been a very long time since I found it funny, on general principles.

But there's one thing I'd like to make utterly clear to my fellow human beings, especially my fellow human beings who live outside Australia.

The black-up sketch wasn't funny. It's not "just the AUssie sense of humour so ...

Who listens to the radio? That's what I'd like to know.

So if you're free between 12 and 2pm Melbourne time today, tune in to Joy 94.9FM for the Outland Institute (or stream it live from www.joy.org.au ) I'll be talking about cookbooks in today's booktalk segment. There'll be Crimes against Pop, tv and film talk, all kinds of goodies.

Does anybody out there listen to it, btw? Either live or later on the podcast? Just curious, since I spam you all every week with this stuff.
