i am in love with your poetry
My words are in love with your admiration and dedication. You give them life. You are the reason that they are so strong. They thank you with everything inside of them.

There are places on my body
that have gone cold after you
put your hands against me.
My coating no longer feels clean,
and I feel like the only way
that I will ever be able to rid
myself of you is to shed
out of my skin completely;
start fresh with a new touch.

The drugs won’t help you
forget about the way
that she tastes when
her body is against
your lips.
You can inhale the toxic,
but breathing it out
won’t always mean
that you are breathing
her out of your system.
She lingers within
every mouth that she
has pressed herself
against; you won’t
be able to get her out.
You might as well
embrace everything
that you remember
about her, because
she’s not going anywhere.

There have been too many
months that have passed by
without you being here.
But when you are here,
I take every word in that you
say to me, and I put them
in a safe place that only I
will ever be able to remember.
it doesn’t feel like long enough

I shouldn’t have
let you go.
But there was
nothing else
that I could
possibly do
to get you
to stay.
So instead
of begging you
to come back
to bed, I opened
the door
for you myself,
and I just
watched you
walk away.

It Looked A Lot Like Love, by Kristina Haynes
I’ve always loved Kristina’s poetry, and I’ve followed her on Tumblr for a few years. Her words are able to expose feelings that you never knew you had. Or had forgot about. Feelings that inspire me, and leave me wanting more. I highly recommend purchasing her book. You could also check out more of her writings on her Tumblr blog. And you should give her a follow! I promise, you won’t regret it. Kristina is beautiful, strong, and she is truly a passionate and dedicated writer. I will always love her work. Her words will always leave me wanting more.

10 Books That Stayed With You
Rules: In a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you.Tag ten friends, including me, so I’ll see your list.

I will never give myself away.
I will never let you figure me out.
You don’t deserve to be let in.
You deserve to be forgot about.
