For Ben Tanzer:

This escalator will never be still. You can look at it whenever that other escalator is stopped and hopefully feel at least a little bit better. You’re welcome.

Are The Oscars Being Held More Often?

I saw a bunch of people posting recently about the Oscars. It was the usual. Some people were excited, some people didn’t care and wanted people to know that, some people were upset about various things (some justified and some less so, in my view), and so on. I saw speculation about how would win, various posts about what was going on during the show, and so on. There was apparently a big boffo at the end, but I’m sure you know all about that. The significant point for me was that I thought we just went through this all a couple months ago.

Was it the Oscars I’m remembering? Something about Leo and a bear? Has it really been a year since then, or am I thinking of the Grammys? The Tonys?

I’m a bit lost right now. I think I’m coming down with a bit of a cold.

I Can’t Find Any Alf Pajamas

I was recently reading Failure Pie in a Sadness Face by Brian Alan Ellis and I got to a line where he mentioned surfing ebay unsuccessfully looking for Alf pajamas. I thought for sure he was screwing around and actually wandered over to ebay to look for myself. After all, I’d been over there just recently looking at Alf lunchboxes ($5-10 for either main style lunchboxes from back in the day, sans thermos, or upwards of around $30 for both styles with both thermoses). However, he was right. I didn’t find any.

Then I went to Google. Even Google shopping. Nothing. I could find no Alf pajamas.

Did the 80s really not have those? If they ever existed, someone would have to be selling them now. I just don’t get it. I think Ellis is onto something there. Or not.

Craving Ramen Today

I’m craving ramen today.

Then again, I’m craving ramen most days (at a ramen place, not the packages at home). Or udon. Or whatever like that.

This Actually Sums Up How The Day After An Long Weekend Feels

This actually sums up how the first workday after a long weekend feels pretty good:

Not completely literally, but still. Pretty on point. I don’t even remember the context for this one.

“General Mills Places Blame On Soup And Yogurt”

I just saw a headline that read: “General Mills Places Blame On Soup And Yogurt.” I looked no further. I’m sure there was an article that explained that headline, but who cares?

That sentence says everything about life.

“General Mills Places Blame On Soup And Yogurt.” Indeed, General Mills. Indeed. Soup and yogurt are to blame for EVERYTHING. War, famine, plague, soccer, everything. “General Mills Places Blame On Soup And Yogurt” is all we really need to say.

The rest is static.
