Two Kinds Of People: “What’s in the box?”
There are two kinds of people, those who think of Se7en when someone makes a “What’s in the box?” reference and those who think of UHF.
Given that I always immediately think of both, I’m left confused having to try to figure out which one the poster is most likely to have been referencing. Sometimes it’s easy, but other times the person could have meant either.

An Odd Relationship With Ferris Wheels
It’s odd, I’m really fond of Ferris wheels…but I’m not really fond of riding on Ferris Wheels. I like views, I like like the idea and thought of Ferris wheels, but I just don’t really like actually being on them.
I don’t really completely understand it. Though, it probably just has something to do with not being fond of heights.

Highlight of AWP 2017
I got to talk to a ton of cool people at AWP 2017 in Washington D.C. There were many incredible readings and panels, great books and journals to find, so many talented writer friends to catch up with, great people to meet, and all of that. I’m sorry though, the highlight has to be the chicken curry at the Caribbean stand in the middle of the convention center book fair.
Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever had convention center food be good before, much less this good. I went back multiple times. CHICKEN CURRY!

Thinking About The Stardust
I was just thinking about the Stardust in Las Vegas again. After all, it was the first place in Las Vegas I’d ever gotten a drink. We’d checked into our room at the Flamingo and then wandered into the Stardust for a drink as we started our initial wandering around the Strip. While reminiscing, let’s watch it implode:
That one drink was the only time I ever got in there.
