A left wing climate activist named Andreas Malm was recently interviewed by the New York Times and openly endorsed the idea of blowing up pipelines and admitted that there could be casualties.
Trump supporters are sitting in jail for merely walking through the Capitol, but left wingers can openly call for crime and violence in the furtherance of their political goals and no one says a thing.
Just don’t claim that we have a two-tiered justice system.

“Accidents” and deaths may be inevitable in extreme climate activism that could merit blowing up thousands of pipelines, author and radical climate activist Andreas Malm said in a startling new interview.
The “How to Blow Up a Pipeline” writer and activist gave an interview to The New York Times on his upcoming follow-up book, “Overshoot: How the World Surrendered to Climate Breakdown.” At the top of the exchange, Malm was questioned on how “it’s hard to think that deaths don’t become inevitable if there is more sabotage” like blowing up pipelines.
“Sure, if you have a thousand pipeline explosions per year, if it takes on that extreme scale. But we are some distance from that, unfortunately,” Malm answered.
When pressed on that response, Malm argued, “Well, I want sabotage to happen on a much larger scale than it does now. I can’t guarantee that it won’t come with accidents. But what do I know? I haven’t personally blown up a pipeline, and I can’t foretell the future.”
Malm admitted that he has recently taken part in actions that have been “illegal” and “militant.” The interviewer, David Marchese, then pushed back against his condoning of political violence in a democracy.
The left is so used to getting away with this behavior that they’re perfectly comfortable talking about it openly.

Musk makes ultimatum in Telsa share battle
The Billionaire took to X to set out his stall for more voting control in Tesla.
Musk states that he would like a quarter of a say in the technology company’s future:
”I am uncomfortable growing Tesla to be a leader in AI & robotics without having ~25% voting control. Enough to be influential, but not so much that I can’t be overturned.”

Musk currently owns 13% of Tesla, so this proposed ultimatum to take hold of 12% would give him a larger voice in the company’s direction.
He would then go on to make a statement on his desire to further develop AI and robotics with Tesla.
However if he has a lack of voting power then Musk said “Unless that (12% increase in shares) is the case, I would prefer to build products outside of Tesla.”
Tesla mainly makes its money from automotive sales rather than any forays into AI or robotics.
Recently a whistleblower stepped forward to raise safety doubts over Tesla’s self-driving cars.
In November of last year a judge ruled that Musk, alongside other chief figures and executives at Telsa knew about shortcomings and defects in the company’s driverless models.
Tesla stocks take a dipAfter Musk’s public statement Tesla shares dropped to $214.2, down around 2.1% from Monday. This continues a poor start to the year for the automotive manufacturer.
This is not an isolated occurrence, nor is it the first time an investment led by Musk has failed to improve.
He sold shares in Tesla to fund the takeover of X, formerly known as Twitter. In this move to take over the social media giant Musk assured investors they would not lose out financially.
This was not the case as the $13bn investment to buy the platform left lenders at a loss estimated in the hundreds of millions.

Former President Donald Trump took the stage Monday night just shortly after his easy win at the Iowa caucus.
Flanked by members of his campaign and former GOP presidential hopeful Doug Burgum, Trump took aim at fellow candidates Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley.
“I want to congratulate Ron and Nicky for having a good time together. We’re all having a good time together.”
He said that both “actually did very well,” adding that “we don’t even know what the outcome of second places.”
He then honed in on Vivek Ramaswamy, saying “he did a hell of a job.”
The rest of Trump’s victory speech was standard campaign rally fare, railing against Joe Biden as the worst president in American history, claiming that “terrorists” were crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, while also repeating that he believed the 2020 election was rigged against him.
Trump made a side remark about ailing President Jimmy Carter, saying, “I thought to myself, Jimmy Carter is happy because he will go down as being a brilliant president by comparison to Joe Biden.”

Nintendo Switch had more releases than any other console in 2023
Coming in ahead of competitors PlayStation and Xbox, the Nintendo Switch was the console with the most releases in 2023, with 2360 games on the platform. According to GameRant, this is a record for the Switch.
Despite being nearly seven years old, the Switch continues to delight fans. The much-anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, sold over 19.5 million copies in its first five months after release, with over 10 million of those being in the first three days after its release.
In a Twitter/X post, games industry analyst Mat Piscatella, of Circana (a consumer behavior analysis company), said that the information was found by a colleague of his, Anthony Silva. The post was discussing Steam’s record-breaking year.

The Switch is the third best-selling games console of all time. The only more popular consoles were Sony’s PlayStation 2, and Nintendo’s own Nintendo DS. According to GoNintendo, the Switch sold over 4 million copies in 2023, the seventh year it was available, which beats a long-standing record set by the Nintendo DS for most units sold in the seventh year.
What will be released on the Nintendo Switch in 2024?Despite rumors running rampant about the so-far unannounced Switch 2 release date, 2024 looks to be a strong year for Nintendo in terms of Switch releases.
Nintendo themselves are releasing several much-anticipated games including a game starring Princess Peach named Princess Peach: Showtime, which is due in March, and a remake of the fan-favorite Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, which doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet.
Switch users won’t be missing out on some of 2024’s most anticipated games either. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (releases today, Jan 15) as well as the upcoming Tomb Raider 1-3 remasters (Feb 14), and Little Nightmares 3 (no release date yet) are all coming to the Switch and are games not to be missed this year.

GTA V’s Michael is not a fan of unofficial AI chatbot of him, to say the least
With all the recent talk about Grand Theft Auto VI, it has been easy to forget what a monumentally large player base GTA V still has. One large enough seemingly for people to continue to attempt to make money or fame from it, without always getting the permission of those involved.
Wame.xyz seems to have made a sizeable misstep however when they posted on X (now removed), “Any GTA fans around here? Now, take your gaming experience to another level. Try having a realistic voice conversation with Michael De Santa, the protagonist of GTA5, right now.”
They probably were not expecting Ned Luke, the actor who voiced De Santa to reply with, “This is f***ing bulls**. Absolutely nothing cool about ripping people off with some lame computer estimation of my voice. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS GARBAGE….”
It’s not new news that actors and voiceover artists are very much against the arrival of AI on the scene amidst the expectation that companies are just going to do away with the humans and end up creating computer-generated audio for much less expense.
To its credit, at least Wame, whose website uses the words Blockchain, AI, and Innovation a lot, has reacted quickly to the future. Wame itself is quite a difficult company to figure out. An introductory video on the site introduces Wame as “an innovative platform that redefines personal data as a valuable asset”, before explaining how this will work in the Blockchain.
Lesson learned?A statement added to the site in the wake of PCGamesN reporting on the story is titled Advancing Ethical AI: WAME’s Commitment to Innovation and Responsibility, and states in full

Escape from Tarkov: 11,000 cheaters banned in 2 weeks
The makers of Escape from Tarkov have announced it has banned over 11,000 players who have been found to be cheating over the last fortnight.
Battlestate Games said in an X post that it made the move with the support of anti-cheat service provider BattlEye, which is related to anti-cheat measures in games such as Rainbow 6 Siege and PUBG.
Escape from Tarkov is one of the most popular games in the extraction shooter genre. Gamers are cast as scavengers in the lawless city of Tarkov and compete with both NPC enemies and other players to escape zones via collecting as much loot as possible. Its focus on realism and high-stakes gameplay means it is an attractive proposition for cheaters and hackers.
But according to the game’s official X page, the developers are doing everything they can to keep Escape from Tarkov a clean and fair playing field for everyone by banning 11,000 players between December 27 and January 12.

Does Escape from Tarkov have a cheating problem?The fact 11,000 players have been banned suggests it’s an ongoing problem for Battlestate Games but whether there is work being done behind the scenes to help nullify the issue remains to be seen.
In February last year, GameRant reported that an investigation into cheaters found that 60% of matches featured cheaters. A month later, it was announced 4,000 cheaters had been banned. The fact another 11,000 have been banned less than a year later points to it being a long-term issue for the developers and perhaps even the gaming industry in general.
And as critics are quite fairly pointing out, the omittance of specifics in the spreadsheet, such as the cheats being detected, doesn’t necessarily mean bans lead to a long-term fix.
Battlestate’s 2024 plans for Escape from Tarkov may now heavily rely on their ongoing attempts to reduce cheating.
