Take a closer look at these hairstyles for women.

Hairstyles play a pivotal role in bringing your entire look together. From short to medium to long, these hairstyles for women open a treasure trove of possibilities. This can include the playful charm of a side ponytail, the elegance of a braided bun, and the beauty of half-up, half-down styles.

These chic hairdos can be accessorized with hair ties, sparkling barrettes, and practical bobby pins. Get ready to turn heads the next time you walk out the door with some serious inspiration.

Hairstyles for WomenBraided Bun[image error]Enhance your elegance with a braided bun, perfect for special occasions. Photo: Shutterstock

This hairstyle is an elegant choice. A Braided Bun is a chic assembly of braids masterfully twisted into a regal bun at the back.

It’s a style that suits formal weddings or galas, with each braid intertwined to form a complex, eye-catching design. Ideal for long hair, this look is intricate and best done by visiting a skilled stylist.

Dutch Braid[image error]Merge tradition with modern elegance through the timeless Dutch braid. Photo: Shutterstock

Showcase a romantic look with an intricate Dutch Braid. A stylish twist begins at the crown and sweeps along the side. The braid’s inside-out technique adds a 3D effect, making it stand out with a prominent texture.

This style can be suitable for medium to long hair and can be paired with loose tendrils to frame the face.

Half-Up, Half-Down with Curls[image error]Half-up, half-down curls create a romantic vibe suitable for any event. Photo: Shutterstock

Bring some volume to your look by wearing the Half-Up, Half-Down with Cruls hairstyle. The upper section is gently pulled back and secured, providing a flattering lift to the face, while the curls create a romantic, flowing silhouette. It’s easily customizable with ribbons or barrettes.

Tousled Long Bob[image error]Effortless chic flows from a tousled long bob, a casual yet stylish choice. Photo: Shutterstock

Exude a relaxed vibe with a Tousled Long Bob. The gentle waves provide a texture that is both chic and effortless. Styling can be achieved with a wide-barrel curling iron to add a subtle bend to the hair, followed by a light tousling with the fingers for that perfect undone look.

This hairstyle complements every face shape, making it versatile.

Fishtail Braid[image error]The fishtail braid offers a polished and playful hairdo. Photo: Shutterstock

For something different, go and wear the unique texture of a Fishtail Braid, a twist on the classic plait. The braid stands out for its herringbone pattern, which requires dividing the hair into smaller sections and intricately weaving them together.

A bit of practice is needed to master the technique, but the result is a stylish and secure hairstyle that can last all day.

Side Ponytail[image error]Bring some fun to your look with the stylish side ponytail. Photo: Shutterstock

Get ready to charm with the Side Ponytail, which creates a playful silhouette. The hair is gathered to one side, allowing for a cascade of waves or curls that drape over the shoulder, perfect for showcasing the hair’s natural texture or volume.

Accessories like sparkling hairpins or a velvet ribbon can be woven into the ponytail, while a light misting of hairspray ensures that the style stays sleek throughout the day.

Waves with a Headband[image error]Adding a headband to waves brings a nostalgic touch to a classic style. Photo: Shutterstock

Soft Waves with a Headband make the perfect choice for a playful look. The headband sits elegantly atop the head, bringing a touch of vintage glamour to the flowing waves.

This style is effortlessly chic and can be achieved with a medium-barrel curling iron, working in light spritzes of hairspray to hold the waves in place.

Sleek Bob[image error]Opt for a sleek bob to exude modern sophistication and maintain a short haircut. Photo: Shutterstock

For a modern look, a Sleek Bob cut absolutely stands out. The straight lines and smooth texture highlight the precision of the cut. The style works well with straight hair types and is maintained with regular trims to keep the edges sharp.

A heat protectant and a flat iron help achieve this sleek look, while a light serum can add shine and reduce frizz.

Pixie Cut with Tapered Sides[image error]The pixie cut with tapered sides is a bold statement for those with short hair. Photo: Shutterstock

Embrace a modern Pixie Cut distinguished by its tapered sides and volume at the top. The cut’s dynamic layers create a texture that adds depth and movement, making it a low-maintenance yet fashionable choice.

Suitable for those seeking a bold and minimalistic style, it can be quickly styled with some pomade or wax for added texture.

Space Buns[image error]Space buns bring a quirky and adventurous vibe to traditional updos. Photo: Matelli Graves / Unsplash

There is nothing more fun than Space Buns. They make an energetic and stylish choice that adds a fun twist to the classic bun. Each bun is perched high on the head, with tendrils of curls playfully escaping to frame the face and soften the look.

This style is a nod to 90s hair nostalgia while staying on current trends. The texture of the hair, with its natural curls, adds volume and visual interest to the buns, making them stand out. Use bobby pins or elastic bands to secure the stylish look.

Messy Bun[image error]The messy bun is the height of laid-back chic and simple elegance. Photo: Shutterstock

A Messy Bun is artfully crafted with strands and curls loosely pinned to form a textured updo. Subtle embellishments provide a gentle sparkle, marrying casual charm with sophistication.

It is ideal for bridal occasions or sophisticated events and demonstrates a mix of structured and carefree styles. Volume is built through backcombing, and curls are softly pinned into a bun, with select strands cascading freely for a relaxed, tousled look.

Curtain Bangs[image error]Curtain bangs provide a soft, elegant frame for any face shape. Photo: Shutterstock

Curtain Bangs offer a versatile and face-framing hairstyle, blending seamlessly with wavy hair to create a laid-back and chic look. These bangs are parted down the middle, softly draping over the forehead and adding a touch of softness to facial features.

This hairstyle is perfect for those seeking a change without fully committing to a fringe, as it allows for easy styling and grows out gracefully.

Baby Braids with Wavy Hair[image error]Baby braids mixed with wavy hair channel a trendy and youthful look. Photo: Shutterstock

Inspired by Y2K hairstyles, Baby Braids are making a comeback. These tiny braids act like subtle accents to frame the face, beginning along the hairline and merging with loose waves that flow down.

Subtle highlights further enhance the depth of the overall look. It requires minimal effort. Just braid small sections, let the waves do their magic, and you’re set with a boho-chic vibe.

Textured Bob with Bangs[image error]A textured bob paired with bangs brings playful chic to your everyday style. Photo: Creative Lab / Shutterstock

A contemporary take on the classic bob, a Textured Bob with Bangs adds a soft, playful edge to the look. The slightly tousled waves bring a casual yet chic vibe, ideal for those aiming for an effortless style.

A texturizing spray can help achieve those lived-in waves. This versatile cut suits various face shapes, particularly those looking to accentuate the eyes and cheekbones.

Braid with a Scarf[image error]Infuse personality into your braid with a colorful, textured scarf. Photo: Shutterstock

A classic Braid with a Scarf brings a creative twist to the plait for added color and texture. Starting at the crown, the hair is braided down the back, with the scarf’s fabric intertwined, finishing off with the scarf’s ends tied around the braid’s base.

This adds a playful and artistic touch to a regular braid for a retro and playful look.

Soft Waves with Highlights[image error]Soft waves are highlighted to create a subtle, sun-kissed, and elegant look. Photo: Shutterstock

Channel a natural and romantic vibe by wearing Soft Waves with Highlights. The hair is parted to the middle, allowing the waves to frame the face gently, creating a feminine look.

The waves start from about mid-length, which adds body and texture without overwhelming the look. This style is often achieved with a large barrel curling iron or rollers, followed by a brush through to soften the curls into more natural waves.

Top Knot[image error]Choose a top knot for a sleek, stylish, and hassle-free hairstyle. Photo: Shutterstock

The Top Knot hairstyle exudes confidence, with the hair swept up into a striking bun that sits proudly atop the head. The dual tones of the hair are woven together, showcasing a delightful contrast that catches the eye and adds depth to the style.

This updo serves as a bold fashion statement. It’s ideal for formal occasions where you wish to stand out, offering both a practical solution and a stylish aesthetic.

Hair Accessory Ideas[image error]Transform simple styles into statement looks with creative hair accessories. Photo: Shutterstock

Whether it’s headbands to accentuate charming pixie cuts, hairpins to add finesse to sophisticated updos, or a vibrant scrunchie for a playful high ponytail, accessories are the secret to infusing personality into your hairstyle.

Always aim to match your accessory with your outfit and the vibe of the event to achieve a cohesive and stylish look.

Accessory Trends

Vintage Clips: Channel retro vibes with timeless clips and barrettes for a touch of old-school cool. Think of velvet for cold weather or satin for warmer seasons.

Statement Headbands: Embrace boldness with an eye-catching headband that instantly upscales your ensemble. Rhinestone embellishments or floral accents stand out.

Pearl Embellishments: Add pearl accessories to your hair for an infusion of sophistication, proving that pearls are not just for necklaces anymore.

Silk Scarves: Knot a silk scarf around your bun or weave it through your braid for a bohemian twist.

Minimalist Hairpins: Embrace the beauty of simplicity with sleek hairpins that provide a neat, understated look.

Embracing Women’s Hairstyles[image error]You can never go wrong with a textured low bun. Photo: Shutterstock

Whether going to work or a date night, these different hairstyles for women are one way to showcase your individuality. Look for a style to match the mood or occasion. A timeless French braid or experiment with a wavy bob will always be the perfect match.

You can also accessorize your hairdos with personalized accessories. So, the next time you step out, let your hairstyle tell a story one stand at a time.

SHOCKING: Moments Ago Joe Scarborough Lied and Claimed Four Policemen Died on Jan 6 | The Gateway Pundit

This article originally appeared on  JoeHoft.com  and was republished with permission.

You can’t make this up.   These people lie so many times they forget what’s true.

It’s official – Joe Scarborough from Morning Joe is a liar.

Today, more than three years after Jan 6 and the unraveling of the big lie, Joe Scarborough claimed that four policemen died on Jan 6.

Disgusting liar. This is 100% false. https://t.co/mHW0g4UtVT

— Sean Parnell (@SeanParnellUSA) January 20, 2024

NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH.

Four people did die on Jan 6 but they weren’t policemen or women, they were Trump supporters!

In my book, The Steal – Volume III: The Cover-Up, I discuss the deaths on Jan 6.  Here is a portion of what I share:

Many Trump supporters walked down to the Capitol, and a huge crowd was on hand outside the building. It was very cold so many individuals returned to their hotel rooms, cars, and homes, but thousands stayed and walked down to the Capitol.

Suddenly, without warning, the Capitol Police—or individuals dressed up like Capitol Police—began firing rubber bullets, flash grenades, and smoke bombs on the crowd. Women, the elderly, and children were in the crowd.  Two older Trump supporters were in the crowd as well. Both middle-aged men were peacefully standing in the crowd when suddenly with no warning grenades, bombs, and bullets began flying.

Kevin Greeson and Benjamin Phillips died that day. They were killed without warning. It’s believed they had heart attacks when flash grenades suddenly blew up in their faces. These men had arrived in DC to meet with other Trump supporters and support their President. They never made it home.

Rosanne Boyland drove to Washington DC that day with a friend. She was a young lady with a special talent. She was a recovering addict who worked as a drug counselor. For seven years, she attended meetings in her local community and did what she could to help others with the same issues and addictions. She also was a Trump supporter.

Boyland found herself caught between the crowd outside the Capitol and Capitol Police when the madness began. Trump supporters were on a set of steps outside the Capitol when Capitol Police began pushing the crowd on top of innocent Americans on the steps.

Boyland and the crowd of Trump supporters were pushed by police down the steps and under a ceiling-high, bone-crushing, and deadly pile that cops doused with opulent amounts of pepper spray and teargas. The police would not allow anyone to help the individuals being crushed, and they attacked anyone who tried to help. After about ten long minutes, the protesters were able to work themselves out of the pile and save each other.

Boyland lay motionless on the steps after the pile finally cleared. People were unable to get near her to help, and it was then that she was seen being beaten brutally by Police Officer Lila Morris with a stick multiple times. Morris beat Boyland so hard and so many times that she lost her stick!

Boyland’s face was blue and bloody as her body lay motionless. Men tried to help and defend her, only to be tear-gassed or struck by police themselves. People begged and pleaded with police to give Boyland CPR, but the police ignored these calls. The men finally carried Boyland down the stairs away from the attacks of police to attempt administer CPR themselves.

Ronald McAbee, a Sheriff from Tennessee, was one of the men who worked on Boyland. He unbuttoned Boyland’s pants and removed her belt to access the femoral artery in her leg and take a pulse. As of this writing, McAbee still sits in pre-trial detention for the January 6 crime of trying to save Rosanne Boyland. Over a dozen men sit in pre-trial detention who were helping Rosanne or reacting to her death. It’s as if authorities are keeping them behind bars to prevent them from sharing their stories and what they saw on Jan 6.

The Capitol coroner announced to Big Media that Boyland had died from a drug overdose. Next, the government cremated her body so the family could not see it. Boyland’s family was unable to perform a secondary autopsy and to this day has not been provided their daughter’s full autopsy report. This woman who helped so many recover from their addictions was slandered by her government and labeled a drug addict, all because she supported her President.

Officer Lila Morris, as of the date of this writing, still walks the halls of Congress—a hero.

What are the odds that lying Joe Scarborough will retract his lie and admit he’s wrong and that it was four Trump supporters who died that day?

Recall for Charcuterie Meat Sold at Costco, Sam’s Club as Salmonella Outbreak Spreads to 22 States | The Gateway Pundit

Multiple federal agencies have issued a warning about potentially contaminated charcuterie meat sold at Costco and Sam’s Club.

The dried meats have been linked to a salmonella outbreak that has sickened dozens of consumers across the U.S., according to an announcement by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

“The Fratelli Beretta brand Antipasto Gran Beretta was sold at Costco in a 24-oz. twin-pack (two 12-oz. trays),” according to the USDA.

“The Busseto brand Charcuterie Sampler was sold at Sam’s Club in an 18-oz. twin-pack (two 9-oz. trays).

“Any lot code associated with either product is potentially contaminated. The products are no longer available for purchase at Costco and Sam’s Club.”

Those packages contained salami, prosciutto, coppa and soppressata dried meats.

They bear establishment numbers “EST. 7543B” and/or “EST. #47967” inside the USDA mark of inspection or printed on the package, according to the USDA.

The department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service “is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ refrigerators,” according to the announcement. “Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.”

At least 47 consumers in 22 states have reportedly fallen ill from the outbreak, and 10 have been hospitalized, the CDC announced. The first known illness occurred Nov. 20, 2023 and additional reports have been received through Jan. 1.

No deaths have been linked to the contamination, according to the report.

Salmonella can cause diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps, with onset of symptoms between 6 hours and 6 days after consuming a contaminated item.

— The Associated Press (@AP) January 19, 2024

Most people recover within 4 to 7 days without treatment, but the illness can be more dangerous for children under 5, the elderly and people with compromised immune systems.

The agencies also advised consumers to use hot, soapy water or a dishwasher to wash surfaces and containers that might have come in contact with the potentially contaminated meats.

The CDC advised consumers to contact a health care provider if they exhibit any severe Salmonella symptoms, including:

Diarrhea and a fever higher than 102°FDiarrhea for more than 3 days that is not improvingBloody diarrheaSo much vomiting that you cannot keep liquids downSigns of dehydration, such as dry mouth and throat, not urinating much, and feeling dizzy when standing up

The two brands are owned by the same company, according to NPR, which quoted a brand spokesperson  as saying they are cooperating with the investigation, “but had nothing to add beyond the information in [the USDA’s] public health alert.”

Top Tips for Traveling With Your Dog

Traveling with your dog can be stressful, and as much as you want to bring your pup with you on adventures, you might be worried about how they will adapt to travel.

Fortunately, most dogs are suited to traveling alongside you and can learn to be comfortable with life on the road or even frequent air travel. Here are a few tips to make the journey less stressful and more enjoyable for both you and your dog.

Is It Possible to Travel With My Dog?Top Tips for Traveling With Your Dog

It is possible to travel with your dog, and many individuals successfully take their dogs on road trips, cross-country flights, or even international vacations. When deciding if your dog is capable of traveling with you, you should take into account important things like their health, age, and how well-trained they are.

Dogs that have many medical needs, ones that are too old to safely sit in a car or accompany you on an airplane, and dogs that are still in training for certain behavioral issues may not be ready to travel with you quite yet.

However, dogs that are trained with the basics, those that are social and friendly, those that are overall healthy or have any medical issues well-managed, and dogs that are generally curious and enjoy accompanying you to new places are all great candidates for traveling with you as you vacation.

Also, remember that companion dogs are usually only welcome in pet-friendly locations if your dog is trained as a service dog, you’ll be able to travel with them nearly anywhere and even have them fly with you for free in an airline cabin.

Essential Tips for Traveling With Your Dog

The following tips are all essential for traveling with your dog. You should make an effort to prepare your dog fully for travel, and always double-check pet requirements or paperwork you might need when traveling out of the state or country with your dog.

Pre-Travel Vet Trips

Before traveling, especially internationally, you will need to take your dog to their regular veterinarian and ensure they are suited for travel. You can evaluate how well your dog will handle long car trips, and you might need to receive calming medication to help your dog adapt more easily to air travel or car travel.

Speak with your vet about any concerns regarding your dog’s ability to travel or preparations you might need to make to ensure your dog is comfortable. You’ll also want to be certain your dog has had any required vaccines, especially if you are traveling outside of the country.

Keep Your Dog’s Routine

Keeping your dog’s routine is vital while you travel with your pup, as this can help them feel safe and comfortable. Make sure to pack all of your dog’s regular food and favorite treats and feed them on roughly the same schedule you have at home.

You shouldn’t make any major changes to your dog’s diet before or during travel, and you should make sure that your dog is able to exercise frequently between long hauls of travel.

Create Emergency Plans

While they aren’t always the most fun thing to think about, properly preparing for an emergency with your dog is vital to avoiding any serious issues.

Make sure that your dog has identification on their collar, and take pictures of your dog with their identification and keep these photos with you or on your phone. In case your dog escapes your car or another area, you may want to place a GPS tracking device on your dog’s collar so that you can easily locate them.

Research the closest veterinarian to your destination, and ensure you have any medication or other medical equipment needed to keep your dog safe in case of health issues.

Train Your Dog for Travel

Training your dog for travel is incredibly helpful, as a well-behaved dog can enjoy themselves in public and make your trip smoother overall.

You may find that you need to work with your dog on public manners, recall, or leash training; all of these things can easily be taught at home as you work with your dog to prepare them for travel.

Consider Traveling Crates

When traveling in a car, particularly with very large dogs, a traveling crate might be necessary to keep your dog contained and safe. Road trips can be made dangerous by a dog loose in your backseat, and it can be hard to contain your dog and stop them from jumping out of your car if they are allowed to run around as they please.

A traveling crate or a leash that buckles into a seatbelt helps maintain your dog’s safety in the event of a crash and ensures you can drive without issue.

Make Plenty of Pit Stops

Pit stops are helpful when taking your dog on a road trip as it allows time for your dog to run around, use the bathroom, and drink a little bit of water.

You should try to avoid letting your dog travel on a very full stomach, as this can cause car sickness and nausea for your pup. Instead, limit your dog’s meals before heading out on a road trip and only feed them a full meal when you are settling in for an extended stop.

In general, a stop every two to three hours while on the road is the healthiest for both humans and dogs in your car.

Monitor Your Dog’s Behavior

Traveling with your dog can be stressful, and you should make sure to keep an eye on your dog’s behavior. Note any signs of distress or discomfort, such as too much panting, whining, drooling, barking, or uncontrollable bathroom usage in your car.

If you see one or more of these, you may need to pull over to allow your dog to calm down or refrain from bringing your dog traveling with you until you can visit a vet for calming medications and a check-up.

Should I Practice Traveling With My Dog?Traveling with your dog on a road tripTop Tips for Traveling With Your Dog

Practicing traveling with your dog is helpful, especially if your pup has never traveled in a car before, or you are trying to get your dog used to air travel. You should ensure your dog has a comfortable, airline-approved carrier for flights, and allow them to sit in it and feed them treats in it to associate positive feelings with the carrier.

Most dogs enjoy car rides, so you can take your pup out on frequent trips around town to pet-friendly places to get them accustomed to a road trip experience.

Make sure that your dog is properly trained and ready to interact with new places or people in public to ensure your travel is smooth.

Traveling With Your Canine Companion

Traveling with your dog is something that many owners enjoy as an extra way to take their dog on adventures and bond with their furry friend.

And while getting your dog ready for travel can seem stressful, our tips help you prepare your pup for the most successful travel experience possible so you can do less worrying and more enjoying the journey.

“F**k These Cops, He Wouldn’t Move!” – Deranged New York Woman Runs Over Police Officer to Teach Him a “Lesson” and is NOT Charged with Attempted Murder (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

Credit: @CollinRugg

A deranged woman was caught on tape deliberately running over an NYPD Officer in Manhattan Wednesday afternoon. But she is not being charged with murder despite bragging about how she wanted to teach him a “lesson.”

As The New York Post reported, 24-year-old Sahara Dula was driving her black Lexus the wrong way on the Upper East Side while high on marijuana when she slammed into the NYPD officer.

The incident occurred minutes after police responded to an unrelated robbery at a high-end clothing store on the Upper East Side.

The footage shows Dula, who is ironically a college criminal justice graduate, driving her Lexus in the wrong direction on Park Avenue near East 71st Street around 4:30 p.m., as the Post notes. The road was closed so police could investigate the robbery mentioned above.

One of the officers is walking up to Dula’s vehicle to force her into the correct lane. But Dula instead slams the gas and strikes the cop directly, causing him to roll up onto the hood of her Lexus and land on the street.

Officers come to their comrade’s aid as he lies on the ground in agony. The fallen officer suffered a broken leg and bruising on multiple areas of his body as a result of the incident, according to the Post.

After her horrific assault, Dula bragged that she hit the cop on purpose because he would not move and needed to be taught a lesson.

I told the cop I wanted to go straight, and he wouldn’t move, so I hit him. I did it on purpose.

F**k these cops, he wouldn’t move! F**k these cops, it’s a lesson to him, and hopefully he doesn’t want to be a cop anymore.

Dula also admitted she was smoking weed, according to Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Lucy Shephard.

Despite her sick and reckless actions, Dula was not charged with attempted murder. The Post revealed Dula was instead charged with first-degree attempted assault, attempted aggravated assault upon a police officer, second-degree assault, second-degree reckless endangerment, and operating a vehicle while ability impaired by drugs and reckless driving.

Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Hendry released a statement expressing that he could not understand why Dula was not charged with attempted murder.

We’re glad that this individual is being kept in jail, but we don’t understand why she isn’t being charged with attempted murder.

Vans maker VF Corp hit by cyber attack, personal data 35.5 million compromised

VF Corp, the parent company of popular sneaker brand Vans, has disclosed a significant data breach impacting approximately 35.5 million consumers, according to a recent Reuters report. The breach, which stemmed from a cyber attack detected on Dec. 13, led to disruptions in the company’s e-commerce operations and affected global customer orders.

In a recent regulatory filing, VF Corp revealed that the cyber attack caused delays in order fulfillment and resulted in the cancellation of some product orders. Despite these operational challenges, the company has assured stakeholders that it does not anticipate any material impact on its financials.

One of the key concerns arising from the incident is the breach of personal data. VF Corp clarified that while a substantial number of consumer records were compromised, the company does not store sensitive information such as social security numbers, bank account details, or payment card information in its IT systems. This limitation in data storage has potentially mitigated the severity of the breach.

Furthermore, VF Corp stated that there is currently no evidence suggesting that consumer passwords were acquired during the cyber attack. This information provides some reassurance to affected consumers regarding the security of their accounts.

In response to the incident, VF Corp has taken steps to restore its IT systems and data. The company reported that it has substantially recovered the systems impacted by the cyber attack. However, it is still addressing minor operational issues that have arisen in the aftermath.

Gemini Ultra vs Gemini Pro vs Gemini Nano: Gemini versions explained

Google Gemini represents a step forward for Google’s AI efforts, as it is a brand-new large language model (LLM) made by Alphabet’s Brain Team and DeepMind.

The new LLM has a lot of potential, built from the ground up to be multimodal. Previously creating multimodal models involved a lot of tweaking and stitching to make them work, whereas Google’s solution is designed to accommodate different modes tailored for specific use cases.

There are three distinct versions of Gemini, all designed with different advantages and disadvantages. Let’s jump right in and take a closer look at Gemini Ultra vs Gemini Pro vs Gemini Nano.

What is Google Gemini, and what’s the difference between Gemini Nano, Pro, and Ultra?Google IO 2023 gemini

In simplest terms, Gemini is the latest Large Language Model (LLM) from Google that will power the AI capabilities of several Google products and is already replacing PaLM2 on Bard. The easiest way to explain an LLM is to think of it as the engine behind the AI, whereas chatbots like Google Bard are the cars that drive it.

So what is the difference between Gemini Ultra vs Gemini Pro vs Gemini Nano? All three versions are built from the same code and work similarly, but they have different use cases.

You wouldn’t equip a tiny Honda hatchback with a V10 engine, right? The same general idea applies to the different versions of Gemini as well. Google Gemini Nano is your reliable 4-cylinder engine, perfectly able to get you where you need to go while being lightweight and efficient. Google Gemini Pro is effectively your V6, a standard engine size that applies to a wide range of tasks. Finally, we have Google Gemini Ultra, which is the equivalent of a V10 with tons of capabilities but at the cost of efficiency, as it needs a lot of power to run.

Google Gemini vs GPTopenai gpt announcement

Calvin Wankhede / Android Authority

How do the three modes of Google Gemini compare to GPT? Google Gemini Nano doesn’t have a direct comparison, but Gemini Pro and Ultra are effectively Google’s answer to GPT 3.5 and GPT 4, respectively. Not only does Gemini have the power of Google Search so it can retrieve more current information, but it also is ahead of both engines in the vast majority of metrics. For example, Gemini Ultra outperformed GPT 4 in MATH and GSM8K benchmarks and is worlds above GPT for Python code generation.

In the next section, we’ll break down each version of Google Gemini, as well as a few more details on how each version compares to their respective GPT equivalent.

Google Gemini Nano: A tale of two sizesgoogle pixel watch 2 buds pro 8 pro family bay blue 7

Rita El Khoury / Android Authority

Google Gemini is the most lightweight and efficient of the models, designed to run directly on mobile devices. Google wasn’t content with just three versions of Gemini as Nano has two variants of its own: Nano-1 and Nano-2. The former can handle 1.8 billion parameters, while the latter is capable of 3.25 billion.

Although both are designed to run directly on lower-powered hardware, Nano-1 is for low-memory devices and Nano-2 is geared towards high-memory products.

Google Gemini Pro: The engine that runs the upgraded Bard experienceAssistant with Bard Presentation at Made by Google Event 2023

Gemini Pro is the middle tier mode, and what is currently powering Google Bard. The good news is Bard should be able to better compete with ChatGPT now that it runs on Gemini Pro, at least if Google’s claims are accurate.

Reportedly Pro is more capable than GPT-3.5 in six different benchmarks and is especially optimized for tasks like brainstorming, summarizing content, and writing. While this isn’t the newest version of GPT, it is the most front-facing as it is what is powering the popular ChatGPT service.

Google Gemini Ultra

Google Gemini Ultra represents the highest tier and is the LLM model that gives GPT-4 a run for its money, as mentioned above. The Ultra exceeds 30 of 32 academic benchmarks for current state-of-the-art results used for LLMs and beats GPT-4 in every category outside of commonsense reasoning for everyday tasks.

While GPT-4 can understand the context of just words and images, Gemini goes a step further and can understand nuanced information for words, images, audio, coding, and even more complicated topics relating to mathematics and physics. It can also respond quickly to your questions, essentially in real time. Unfortunately, it’s also not available in any form just yet and so it remains more of a promise than anything.

The easiest way to access Bard is to go to bard.google.com. You’ll need to sign into your Google account if you aren’t already. That’s it! You don’t need to do anything to switch Bard over to Gemini, as this was done by Google in the back-end. Of course, it is worth noting Bard is only available in English, though you can find it in more than 170 countries.

The new Gemini-boosted Bard will initially be available in English in more than 170 countries, though surprisingly not in the United Kingdom or Europe. This is due to regulatory hurdles, which will hopefully be solved shortly.

Google Gemini release date: When will you be able to use it?Google Logo as seen at Google Store Mountain View

C. Scott Brown / Android Authority

The Google Gemini release date is a bit complicated as it varies depending both on the LLM version and the applications it will be integrated into. Still here’s a basic breakdown:

Google Gemini Nano will arrive as a preview in Google’s new AI Core app, which started hitting Pixel 8 Pro users on December 6. It’s expected to eventually make its way to other Android 14 devices as well but at least for now it remains a Pixel exclusive.Google Gemini Pro launched on December 6th as an under-the-hood upgrade to Google Bard. It is also expected to roll out to enterprise customers using Vertex AI on December 13.Google Gemini Ultra is the most powerful version of the LLM and is expected to be a more suitable competitor to ChatGPT. Unfortunately, it’s not coming just yet. While Google hasn’t locked down the Gemini Ultra release date yet, it’s not expected until sometime in 2024.

FAQ Does Bard use Gemini?

Google Bard initially launched on March 21, 2023 using LaMDA as the engine, until it latter upgraded to PaLM 2. As of December 6, Bard has swapped PaLM for an optimized version of Gemini Pro.

Is Gemini better than ChatGPT?

Yes and no, as it depends on the version and what you’re looking for. Gemini Ultra is (on paper, at least) a step ahead of GPT-4 in nearly every metric except for commonsense reasoning for everyday tasks. Meanwhile, Gemini Pro arguably sits between GPT 3.5 and GPT 4 in terms of performance and capabilities.

Is Google Bard free?

Yes, Google Bard is free to use, similar to ChatGPT. Unlike the latter service, Bard allows you to analyze images and other elements for free, while OpenAI keeps some of these ChatGPT features locked behind its premium tier.

Can I use Google Bard on my phone?

Yes you can use Google Bard on your phone, though you’ll need to use Chrome or another browser to access it. Google is working to bring Bard functionality to Google Assistant but that’s an experiment that is rolling out slowly for now.

Rutgers University Students Masked Like Terrorists Issue Demands Over School’s Stance on Israel (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

Rutgers University students who are part of the campus chapter of ‘Students for Justice in Palestine’ recently issued a set of demands to the school over its stance on the continuing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

The students are masking their faces with Keffiyehs and look like Middle Eastern terrorists.

Do you think their parents are proud? Is this how their families expected things to go when they sent them off to a prestigious school like Rutgers University?

The Daily Caller reported:

Masked Students for Justice In Palestine Members Demand Rutgers Cut Ties With Israel In Press Conference

Masked Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) members listed new demands for a Rutgers University campus during a press conference Wednesday, which included an order for the school to cut ties with Israel.

Video footage posted on Twitter by a citizen journalist showed three students covering their faces with what appeared to be keffiyehs, or traditional Arab headscarfs. The students led the press conference at the Rutgers University New Brunswick campus.

The student stood in front of a sign that said, “Rutgers profits off of Palestinian suffering” while calling out the school for previously banning the group and listing new demands they claimed need to be met.

“We recognize the attempted suspension of our organization is nothing short of a political posturing by Rutgers University in response to Zionist pressure. From the beginning, Rutgers knew they could not legally uphold our suspension,” one of the students stated. “In order to silence our just activism the Rutgers administration has treated their Palestinian students with malice and disregard — either reproducing vicious anti-Palestinian racism and Islamophobia or allowing it to foster when students report it.”

Rutgers University previously suspended the New Brunswick SJP group back in December due to complaints the chapter was allegedly disrupting campus life as well as making students feel unsafe, according to NorthJersey.com.

If you had any doubt that higher education is indoctrinating young people, this should cure you of that.

Can you change your name in Palworld?

Character creation is a big part of gaming, but sometimes, when you are under a lot of pressure to just come up with the perfect character name before getting into the game proper, you end up with something that after about three seconds of gameplay you hate. It’s always good therefore to know how you can just pop back to edit your character and make any changes while adding in that super-cool name you only just dreamt up.

Let’s see how we do that right here.

How to change your name in Palworld  (and your Pals)

At the beginning of the game when you create your character you can alter the look, voice, and all the other good stuff. Then, weirdly, you are given a random name that you simply cannot change for your character. It’s all very odd, and we don’t know why that should be the case, but the devs are promising that in a later build of Early Access character editing and name-changing will become a thing. It’s an example of how janky some things are at this stage of development as we touched on our everything you need to know about Palworld page.

You can however change the names of your Pals (which makes the omission on the character front stranger still. To do this all you need to do is go to the Party Menu and select the Pal you wish to rename and then select the edit name option that is next to its name on the screen.

Note that you will have to level up your Pals before having access to this feature – again this is something that may change sooner rather than later as new builds get released into the wild.

Did you know Google Gemini isn’t available in Europe yet?

On December 6 Google unveiled Gemini, a new large language model (LLM) that has three different modes: Nano, Pro, and Ultra. The new Gemini Pro variant now powers Bard in the United States and over 170 other countries, but the European Union and the UK are left out of the mix for now. So, what gives?

It’s mostly down to regulation

While Google Bard launched in the UK at the same time as the US, the service came months later to the European Union. The same story is unfolding again with Gemini, though this time the United Kingdom is also left in the dark.

It’s unclear what the regulation hurdles are getting in the way of the UK, as Bard on PaLM 2 didn’t have this problem. We do know that Google is in active discussions with the UK’s Safety Insitute and approval should arrive sometime next year. As for the European Union, the GDPR (EU regulators, basically) has to sign off on new LLMs and ensure they pass all regulations in place for AI. This takes a bit of time, unfortunately.

When will Google Bard get Gemini in Europe?

Google will bring a preview of Bard Advanced to Europe in 2024, which will run on Gemini Ultra — a step forward from the Gemini Pro LLM powering it right now.  Unfortunately, we have no specifics on what time of the year it will arrive.

Is Google Bard still available in Europe?

The good news is that Google Bard is still available in select parts of Europe, it’s just that it will run on the older PaLM model instead.
