Stephen Colbert Shreds Former Presidential Candidate Ron DeSantis
With one joke, Stephen Colbert showed why Gov. Ron DeSantis will never be the President Of The United States.
Colbert said, “Tonight, the big story, after losing by 30 points in Iowa and polling at an anemic 6% in New Hampshire, Ron Desantis has dropped out of the presidential race. Right there. Right there, ladies and gentlemen. There it is, the reaction he never got while he was running for president. But Ron, don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because you need to practice smiling. I don’t understand why Americans didn’t rally behind a guy who declared war on the Magic Kingdom, attacked trans kids, denied covid, kidnapped migrants and flew them to Martha’s Vineyard, and ate pudding with his fingers. Finger pudding, of course, is a delicacy known as [gagging].”
Video:
DeSantis’s image has now been carved in pop culture stone. He will never be taken seriously as a presidential contender. The Florida governor may try to get a job in the next administration if Trump returns to the White House, but given that Trump is more likely to end up in the warden’s office than the Oval Office, those dreams might be a long shot for Ron DeSantis.
Ron DeSantis was too weird to ever be president. He is relentless fodder for late-night comedians, but he is not a future in the making.
DeSantis can go back to running Florida into the ground because America will never buy what he tried to sell.

Apple pays $13.7m fine to Russia in antitrust lawsuit
Apple has paid a fine of $13.65 million (1.2 billion rubles) for reportedly violating anti-monopoly laws in Russia, the country’s FAS antitrust agency has said.
In a statement on the FAS agency website, Russian authorities said that the tech giant’s App Store rules prohibit iOS application developers from informing customers within the application about the possibility of paying for purchases outside the App Store. They also prohibit the use of alternative payment methods.
According to Reuters, Apple previously “respectfully disagreed” with the ruling that its distribution of apps through its iOS operating system gave its own products a competitive advantage.
It is reported that on January 19, Apple paid a fine of 1,177,988,700 rubles, with the Federal Antimonopoly Service stating that the funds have been transferred to Russia’s federal budget.
In February 2023, the FAS said that Apple paid another $12.1 million fine in another antitrust case, which accused Apple of abusing its dominant position in the mobile apps market.
Apple halted product sales in Russia following the country’s invasion of Ukraine, saying the company stands “with all of the people who are suffering as a result of the violence.”
However, the Silicon Valley-based company has faced numerous antitrust challenges in the past, even within the US. In October, Google CEO Sundar Pichai defended the company’s partnership with Apple during a high-profile antitrust trial.
Russia’s relationship with technology companiesSeveral significant organizations have faced opposition from Russia. The country blocked access to Amazon, Google, Twitch, Slack, Soundcloud, Viber, Spotify, Fifa, and Nintendo in 2018, in a bid to crackdown on Telegram. The social media messaging service was permanently banned after it failed to turn up with encryption keys that would let authorities read messages being sent through it.
As far back as 2012, Russia also introduced a web blacklist, which reportedly let officials filter out specific domain names and IP addresses. Law enforcement agencies could add URLs to the blacklist without a court order. Hosting services would need to remove banned materials within 72 hours or risk being shut down.
MIT Technology Review indicates that Russia’s war in Ukraine accelerated the deterioration already occurring, further driving the nation’s largest tech companies into isolation and disarray. It has also led to the consolidation of its citizens within a strictly regulated domestic internet, where information originates from official government channels and freedom of speech is considerably restricted.

Long Bob Haircut Trends: Finding the Perfect Style
Find the perfect long bob haircut for you.
The long bob haircut, or lob, has become a popular hairstyle in recent years. This beloved cut, a favorite among celebrities and beauty fans alike, seamlessly blends classic elegance with contemporary cool.
A long bob is a women’s hairstyle cut around the collarbone level or shoulders, offering a longer variation of the classic bob. This versatile style can be adapted to various hair types, including straight, wavy, or curly.
Long Bob Haircut Ideas[image error]The lob hairstyle hits around the shoulders. Photo: ShutterstockFrom the sharp angles of an A-line cut to the playful bounce of wavy textures, the lob haircut proves its adaptability. Whether it’s the understated sophistication of a straight lob or the vibrant impact of a blonde tone, this hairstyle maintains its position at the forefront of fashion trends.
Balayage Lob[image error]A balayage lob brings a balanced blend of colors for an enchanting effect. Photo: ShutterstockThe Balayage Lob is an enchanting hairstyle that features a sun-kissed gradient of natural-looking highlights. This technique involves hand-painting lighter shades onto the hair, creating a soft, seamless transition that mimics the subtle effects of sunlight.
The balayage lob is relatively low maintenance, with the grown-out highlights only adding to the depth of the style over time.
Wavy Lob[image error]Ride the wave of style with a luscious wavy lob that is effortlessly chic, like Jenna Ortega shows. Photo: lev radin / ShutterstockFor those who want a versatile look, the Wavy Lob combines the ease of medium-length hair with the playful nature of waves. This hairstyle is distinguished by its textured waves, which add volume and a breezy, carefree aesthetic.
The focus here is on the soft bends and ripples throughout the hair, which can be enhanced with a light mist of sea salt spray.
Lob with Highlights[image error]Brighten your lob haircut with striking highlights, as shown by Jessica Alba. Photo: s_bukley / ShutterstockFor a little color, a Lob with Highlights helps accentuate its shape and texture. The gentle flow of color amplifies the natural movement within the cut, offering a multidimensional look that brings out the softness of the waves.
The strategic placement of lighter tones around the face can illuminate the complexion, while deeper shades beneath add depth.
A-line Lob[image error]Experience the sleek sophistication of an A-line lob, where beauty meets precision. Photo: ShutterstockThe A-line Lob is characterized by its gradual lengthening from the back to the front, creating a sharp, angular silhouette that frames the face beautifully. This cut is often styled with a subtle inward bend at the ends to emphasize its distinctive line.
Regular trims are essential to maintaining the A-line shape. You can style it with a round brush and blow dryer to achieve a sleek effect.
Choppy Lob[image error]Embrace a bold statement with a choppy lob, blending edginess with chic. Photo: ShutterstockEmbrace texture and an edgy, deconstructed look with the Choppy Lob. It features deliberately uneven, piecey layers that create a sense of fullness and movement. This style is particularly favorable for those with fine hair, as the varying lengths can give the illusion of volume.
Styling involves texturizing products to enhance the choppy layers, and a tousle with the fingers for an effortlessly chic finish.
Blunt Lob with Bangs[image error]Embrace a bold look with a blunt lob haircut paired with eye-catching bangs. Photo: Dev Asangbam / UnsplashThe Blunt Lob with Bangs combines the clean lines of a blunt cut with the soft framing of forehead-grazing bangs. This hairstyle strikes a balance between boldness and elegance, offering a refreshing update to the classic lob.
Regular trims are necessary to keep the edges sharp to maintain this chic look, and styling with a smoothing serum ensures the bangs sit neatly.
Layered Lob[image error]Upgrade your style with a layered lob haircut for a dynamic and versatile look. Photo: ShutterstockA Layered Lob offers a versatile and dynamic approach to the traditional lob haircut. With layers cut throughout, this style adds volume and allows for natural movement within the hair.
It is perfect for any face shape, with the layers working to frame the face and enhance its features. Use light-hold styling products to maintain the hair’s natural bounce.
Blonde Lob[image error]Brighten your look with a stunning blonde lob, channeling glamour like Jennifer Lopez. Photo: Tinseltown / ShutterstockFor those with lighter hair, a Blonde Lob is a radiant hairstyle with the striking impact of blonde tones. The color can range from cool icy blondes to warm honey shades, offering a spectrum of looks that can be customized to complement various skin tones.
Care routines involve purple shampoos to maintain the desired tone and deep conditioning treatments to keep the hair looking healthy.
Side-Part Long Bob[image error]A side-part long bob has a subtle yet impactful shift, as Selena Gomez shows. Photo: Tinseltown / ShutterstockThe Side-part Long Bob introduces an asymmetrical edge to the classic lob, offering a flattering angle to elongate the face and highlight the cheekbones.
The deep side part allows the hair to sweep across the forehead, creating a soft, face-framing effect that adds a touch of mystery. This style works well with both straight and wavy textures.
Straight Lob[image error]Achieve the ultimate chic look with a straight lob, like Kim Kardashian wears. Photo: Tinseltown / ShutterstockThe Straight Lob is a sleek and sophisticated hairstyle, where the simplicity of the cut is its standout feature. The hair features blunt ends, with a focus on achieving a smooth, polished look from roots to ends.
To keep the straight lob looking pristine, regular use of heat protectants during styling, along with anti-humidity products, helps maintain its smooth texture and prevent frizz.
Red Long Bob[image error]Turn heads with a fiery red long bob, radiating confidence and style. Photo: ShutterstockMake a bold statement with the Red Long Bob. Go for a vivid hue reminiscent of autumn leaves or a sunset’s glow that skims just above the shoulders.
Maintaining the intensity of this red hair color requires specialized color-safe hair care products and routine salon visits for color touch-ups.
Lob with Curtain Bangs[image error]Combine softness and structure with a lob featuring curtain bangs. Photo: Wesley Tingey / UnsplashThe Lob with Curtain Bangs is a modern, flirtatious hairstyle that combines a short haircut with the face-framing grace of split bangs. The bangs are parted down the middle, gently sweeping to each side to frame the face, reminiscent of the soft drape of curtains.
This style adds a touch of retro glamour to the lob while keeping it fresh and contemporary.
Ombré Lob with Brown Shades[image error]Dive into depth with an ombré lob, showcasing rich brown shades for a warm effect, like Jenna Dewan. Photo: DFree / ShutterstockThe Ombré Lob with brown shades is a hairstyle that offers a gradient of color, blending from deep, rich roots to lighter, caramel-kissed ends for a summer look. The lob itself is cut to drape just above the shoulders.
To maintain the nuanced tones of the ombré, it’s important to minimize heat styling, which can help preserve the integrity of the lighter shades.
Textured Lob[image error]Textured lobs offer a playful twist to traditional styles, adding volume. Photo: ShutterstockEmbrace a choppy look with a highlighted Textured Lob. This style creates an illusion of depth and density, making it an excellent choice for adding a pop of color to the hair.
The layered technique used to cut this lob results in a voluminous and full-bodied appearance, particularly when styled with waves that emphasize the hair’s natural texture.

Comedian Terrence Williams ROASTS Nikki Haley After She Claims She was Teased Every Day for Being “BROWN” (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit
Comedian Terrence Williams humorously rebuked former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley after her comments about experiencing “racism” due to her “brown” skin.
Haley, during a joint interview with NBC News and The Des Moines Register, shared her struggles growing up in a small southern town as the only Indian family.
She recounted incidents of being teased for her skin color and the challenges she faced, including being disqualified from a beauty pageant for not fitting into predefined racial categories.
“We were the only Indian family in our small southern town. I was teased every day for being brown. So anyone who wants to question it can go back and look at what I’ve said on how hard it was to grow up in the Deep South as a brown girl,” said Haley.
“If you want to know what it was like growing up, I was disqualified from a beauty pageant because I wasn’t white or black because they didn’t know where to put me. So look, I know the hardships, the pain that come with racism. It’s the reason that I fight bullies every day when it comes to racism, antisemitism, or hate,” she added.
WATCH:However, her comments did not sit well with comedian Terrence Williams.
In his video response, Williams humorously questioned Haley’s assertion of being “brown,” comparing her skin tone to various objects and sarcastically claiming himself as the only white family in Compton, California.

President Donald Trump praised his one-time political adversary, Ron DeSantis, during his campaign event today at New Hampshire.
DeSantis, who recently suspended his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination, officially endorsed Trump.
Speaking to his supporters, Trump expressed his admiration for the campaign that DeSantis had mounted.
“Before we begin, I’d like to take time to congratulate Ron DeSantis and of course, a really terrific person who had gotten to know his wife, Casey, for having run a great campaign for president. He did. He ran a really good campaign. I will tell you. It’s not easy,” Trump said, acknowledging the arduous nature of political campaigning.
“They think it’s easy doing this stuff, right? It’s not easy.” Trump continued, reflecting on the challenges of the campaign trail.
He noted that DeSantis had officially withdrawn from the campaign trail and had graciously endorsed him. Trump expressed his appreciation for this endorsement and the spirit of cooperation it represented.
“But as you know, he left the campaign trail today at 03:00 p.m. And in so doing, he was very gracious, and he endorsed me. So I appreciate it. I appreciate that.”
Furthering his comments, Trump emphasized his intention to collaborate with DeSantis and others in his party to “defeat crooked Joe Biden.”
“I also look forward to working with Ron and everybody else to defeat crooked Joe Biden. We will have to get him out. We have to get him out. You, he’s put our country at great peril. At great peril. So I just want to thank Ron and congratulate him on doing a very good job. It’s a tough situation. It’s a tough thing to do,” Trump added.

Alec Baldwin Cuts $10 Million Off Mansion’s Sale Price as Legal Troubles Grow | The Gateway Pundit
Alec Baldwin might be showing signs of financial difficulty amid his ongoing legal battles.
Fox Business reported that Baldwin has slashed $10 million off the asking price of his home in the Hamptons and is even paying for online ads to help find a buyer.
The property was originally listed at $29 million before dropping to $25 million. Today, the asking price is below $20 million.
In a promotional video posted online, Baldwin said he purchased the impressive property in 1995 and has built two extensions since then.
“I fell in love with this place the moment I came here because this is the family home of the former Potter Farm and you just can’t get this anymore,” Baldwin explained. “You just can’t get this out here anymore.
“The meadow in the front of my property is a reserve,” he continued.
“It’s a very, very, low-density area, and I love coming here. I’m always happiest, when I come here and, especially this time of year.
“I love it in the wintertime because it’s so peaceful and it’s so beautiful.”
On Friday, Baldwin was indicted on charges of involuntary manslaughter over the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in 2021.
The tragic incident took place on the film set of “Rust” in Santa Fe, New Mexico. when Baldwin apparently set off a firearm intended as a prop, wounding director Joel Souza and killing Hutchins.
The actor denies pulling the trigger and insists he only drew back the hammer of the pistol, although prosecutors dispute this claim.
“Although Alec Baldwin repeatedly denies pulling the trigger, given the tests, findings and observations reported here, the trigger had to be pulled or depressed sufficiently to release the fully cocked or retracted hammer of the evidence revolver,” prosecutors wrote in October in evidence presented to a grand jury.
Last year, Baldwin and the film’s production company, Rust Movie Productions, settled a wrongful death lawsuit with the victim’s family for an undisclosed amount, according to NBC News.
Meanwhile, Hutchins’ family now say they are “looking forward to the criminal trial” as they seek full accountability for her death.
“Our clients have always sought the truth about what happened on the day that Halyna Hutchins was tragically shot and killed,” the family’s lawyer, Gloria Allred, said in a statement, according to the BBC.
“They continue to seek the truth in our civil lawsuit for them and they also would like there to be accountability in the criminal justice system.”

Claude Monet’s House: How to Plan a Giverny Day Trip from Paris
I’d like to introduce the charming French village of Giverny, which is only an hour away from the busy streets of Paris. Making a Giverny day trip from Paris the perfect activity to add to your itinerary!
If you’re longing for a respite from the city’s endless energy, let me assure you that Giverny is your answer, wrapped in vibrant colours and serene vibes.
Just take a short train ride from Paris St-Lazare station, and in about 1 hour, you’ll be swapping urban skyscrapers for sprawling gardens and storybook landscapes. Getting there is so easy that you’ll wonder why you never escaped to this pastoral paradise before!
Giverny is synonymous with the legendary Impressionist painter Claude Monet, and entering this picturesque town is like stepping into one of his masterpieces. His iconic house and gardens, where he painted the famous Water Lilies series, are the crown jewels of Giverny.
The explosion of colour in Monet’s house will enchant you at every turn. From the delicate flowers of the Clos Normand to the dreamy water garden with its green-draped Japanese bridge, it’s an intoxicating display that perfectly captures the essence of Impressionism.
But that’s not all. Giverny is much more than Monet’s legacy. The town is dotted with charming art galleries, cozy eateries and the remarkable “Musée des Impressionnismes de Giverny”, which offers a deeper insight into the art movement that changed the world.

Here is an overview of the best tips for a Giverny day trip from Paris:
How To Get to Giverny From ParisStart planning your Giverny day trip from Paris by figuring out your preferred transport.
By TrainFrom Paris, you can head to Giverny by train.
You should head to St Lazare train station and take a train to Vernon. The train ride takes about 1 hour. Vernon is a small town with a small train station.
Then, from Vernon, you should get bus 10, which heads to Giverny. Get off at La Musardiere (5 stops, 13 mns) and then you should follow people who are also heading to Giverny.
You can check the schedule of the train to Vernon, and then the bus from Vernon to Giverny here.
By CarBy car, you should head to the village of Giverny. You should put in your GPS, Maps, Waze, Maison de Claude Monet Giverny.
There is another house of Claude Monet nearby in the village of Vetheuil, but this one is not open to the public. This is where he lived with his first wife before he could rent the house at Giverny. It’s much smaller.
As you leave Highway A13, the road after Vernon becomes quite tight, and there are some tricky, narrow turns. Slow down and pay attention. This is actually the same road Monet and his friends used when they came to Giverny from Paris by car.
Yes, Claude Monet and his kids, Michel and Jean, loved cars. He even owned a garage in the town of Vernon where he had his cars fixed. They were very expensive custom-made vehicles back then. One of his friends, Stephane Mallarmé, even said, that “if he hadn’t had a talent for painting and gardening he might have become a car mechanic.“
There is parking by the house where you should find a spot any time of the year. The restrooms are just by the parking. There are also restrooms in the house, just before the gift shop.

Home of Claude MonetClaude Monet lived in Giverny from 1897 until his death in 1927. Claude modernized the house and extended the gardens, creating a pond where he planted waterlilies and exotic plants to give him the inspiration he needed so much. At the same time, Europe and many of his friends were taken by the terrible World War I.
After his death, the gardens could not be maintained, and in the mid-1970s, Gerard von der Kemp and fellow American philanthropic institutions financed the restoration of the house and gardens to their former glory.
It opened to the public in 1982, and in the first year, more than one million visitors visited the house and gardens.
Opening hours: GIVERNY House and Gardens is open from April 1st till November 1st from 9.30AM to 5.30PM.
Buy Your Tickets Well in Advance!Giverny tends to be quite busy year-round, so buying your skip-the-line tickets is really the best advice I can give you.
The sooner the better, this way, you’ll be sure to have your timing and also to skip the line.
Then try to get there as early as possible, as the gardens look even better in the morning before anyone gets there. I once had as a client a famous photographer from the US who managed to enter the garden at 5.30PM when it was closing, and he had the place just for himself. He was quite a big star.
With your skip-the-line tickets, you will enter through the Group entrance, Sente Leroy, not the main entrance. When arriving, turn to your right just before you see people waiting in line. You’ll see a sign with SENTE LEROY. This is a very small alley, and then show your tickets at the gate when entering the gardens.
You should start your visit with the gardens facing the house, the Clos Normand. The gardens you see there facing the house to your left, represent all the colors available by nature for a painter.
To your right, closer to the hens and rabbits house, are the fruit and vegetable gardens. As a savvy person responsible for a large family, Monet took great pride in growing his own fruits and vegetables.
After visiting the house, you should head to the part where there is a pond with the famous waterlilies. There are many wonderful places around the pond for taking great pictures.
You might want to have lunch after visiting the house and gardens.
Where to Eat in GivernyAs you get out of the house, the best place for a nice lunch and a glass of wine is:
Les NympheasAt Les Nympheas, you’ll find a large dining room where group and individual visitors can enjoy good homemade French food. There is also a fantastic selection of pastries and some delicious coffee.
There are many other places to eat outside Claude Monet’s house, but this is really the best one by far, just in front of the house of Claude Monet.
For groups of up to 45 people, you’ll have to book online by emailing.
Now, if you want to have an even better experience, you should head to the Baudy restaurant. As you leave the house to your right, pass the parking and walk for about 300 meters. You’ll find to your right the restaurant BAUDY.

Le BaudyLe Baudy is the place where Claude Monet and his friends used to stay and have a meal when he was young and broke. The Baudy is a quite famous place in Giverny. No reservations are possible. The Baudy does not accept groups.
Back then, there was a small train stopping 200 meters from the house where he would live later. They used to take this small train to find inspiration in the Vexin Normand, the closest part of Normandy to Paris.
Baudy restaurant serves authentic French cuisine, just like at the beginning of the 20th Century when Monet, Manet and Renoir would spend hours discussing the colours for their art. The design of the place, the bar, and even the small studio in the courtyard have not changed since.
All the paintings around you are, of course, copies today. Yet, until the 1950s, there were some authentic ones. Back then, and until 1900, when some rich Americans finally understood the impressionists, no one in Europe had bought Monet yet. Mme Baudy allowed the painters to pay the bill with a painting. Claude Monet owed Mme Baudy quite a bill. Mme Baudy compensated, sold the paintings, and got the bill well settled after WWI.
Monet continued going to the Baudy when some of his friends were not behaving well enough in front of the kids and grandkids. Now that Monet owned the house he had always dreamed of, he wanted to keep a certain attitude. Claude Degas, for example, was rarely sobbing, and he rarely had the same girlfriend … Monet would meet him at the Baudy instead.
I highly recommend the Omelette Monet style with duck breast confits.
The tables inside are really lovely. The round one at the right end of the room is the one Monet preferred.
Monet’s GraveIf you still have some time left, you should keep walking right as you exit the restaurant, and you’ll see above the fill of the small church of Giverny.
There, on the right of the church, you’ll find a couple of graves completely covered by flowers and ivy. These are the graves of Mme Alice Hoschede Monet, the artist’s second wife, one of Claude Monet’s, and his stepdaughter, Blanche.
Next to Claude Monet is buried, Mr Van der Kemp, the curator of the Louvre and then Versailles, who by the 1970s was able to find sponsors to restore the house of Monet and then open it to the public. He passed away in 2001.
Full-Day Tour: Giverny Claude Monet’s Gardens & House + RouenOn this amazing full-day tour, I (Igor) will take you on a journey to explore Giverny, including Claude Monet’s house and gardens, as well as the beautiful city of Rouen.
Normandy is blessed with ideal weather conditions, allowing almost anything to grow in its stunning gardens.
As someone who splits his time between Paris and Normandy, I deeply understand Monet’s passion for gardening and the Impressionist movement. While my wife cares for the planting aspect, I love helping her maintain the garden and select the perfect flowers and trees.
The ever-changing light in Normandy at different times of day and seasons perfectly captures Monet’s artistic vision.
During our visit to Giverny, I would love to share all the secrets of Monet’s garden and his fascinating life! I’ve shared only a few above.
In Rouen, another of my passions awaits:
Medieval history and architecture. We will explore highlights such as Notre Dame Cathedral and the charming medieval town at its feet. If possible, we’ll even venture up to Gros Horloge for breathtaking views of the skyline.

As far back as I can remember, I have always loved history and telling people about it and showing them the best places to eat, have fun and do things.
I was born in Normandy, near Lisieux, and both my grandparents lived through the German occupation and both were in the French Resistance.
This is where my passion for digging in the past really began.
After school in Lisieux, I studied history and journalism at the Sorbonne in Paris.
I have been a professional guide for three years now and I really love it!
I know and love my region. I have lived here almost all my life and I have so much to show you.
I have lived elsewhere, but I can tell you that “paradise” for me is “here” in the green pastures of Normandy.
