Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

8. Tipsy (Take It Off) by Cambria Hebert
4.5 out of 5 stars Alcohol isn't the only thing that can make a girl tipsy. Julie Preston is an artist. But her canvas isn't paper or clay. It's hair. She spends her days coloring, blow drying and styling her clients hair at the Razor's Edge salon. Julie is also annoyed. She went out on a date and had a great time, gave the guy her number and the jerk never called.

So when he waltzes into the salon and sits down in her chair she briefly considers strangling him with the pink cape she fastens around his neck.

Too bad she can't.

9. Sea of Love (Love in Bloom: The Bradens, Book 4) by Melissa Foster
4.7 out of 5 stars Lacy Snow wasn't looking for love when she met strikingly handsome and seductive Dane Braden. But how could she ignore the six-foot-three darkly handsome god who tagged and researched sharks for a living--and made every nerve in her body tangle into an overly sensitive knot? Even her fear of sharks could not suppress their intense attraction.

As founder of the Brave Foundation, Dane Braden travels from port to port, educating and advocating on behalf of the mammals he adores--and spends his nights finding solace in the arms of strangers. The last thing Dane was looking for when he met Lacy Snow was a relationship, and the last thing he expected was to fall in love.

10. Forever Black (Forever Trilogy #1) by Sandi Lynn
4.0 out of 5 stars When Ellery moved to New York with her boyfriend, she thought they’d live happily ever after in their small New York apartment. She never thought he’d pack his bags and leave because he “needed space.”

With her newfound single status and fear of being alone, Ellery buries herself in her artwork and paintings until one night she helps a mysterious intoxicated stranger get home safely. Little did she know the mysterious stranger is none other than CEO and millionaire Connor Black. After finding Ellery in his kitchen the next morning and assuming she broke his #1 rule about sleepovers, he becomes intrigued, not only by her stubbornness and defiance, but by her kindness.

Emma's thoughts: I received this ARC as part of the April Fool blog tour.

April Fool picks up right where April Shower ended.... April had witnessed here house burning down with Lucas being injured inside and was in hospital recovering. April is still in a secret relationship with Issac.... Issac is a real hottie as he was in the first book.

April's brother Brody also appears in this book - he is also very hot and I loved getting to know more about him - infact a book for him and Lucy would be amazing (hint, hint).

So all in all I loved this book, Karli wrapped it up perfectly in the epilogue.

Congrats Karli on another fantastic book :)

Book Review: The Reflections of Queen Snow White

The Reflections of Queen Snow White by David C. Meredith: What happens when "happily ever after" has come and gone?

On the eve of her only daughter, Princess Raven's wedding, an aging Snow White finds it impossible to share in the joyous spirit of the occasion. The ceremony itself promises to be the most glamorous social event of the decade. Snow White’s castle has been meticulously scrubbed, polished and opulently decorated for the celebration. It is already nearly bursting with jubilant guests and merry well-wishers. Prince Edel, Raven's fiancé, is a fine man from a neighboring kingdom and Snow White's own domain is prosperous and at peace. Things could not be better, in fact, except for one thing:

The king is dead.

The queen has been in a moribund state of hopeless depression for over a year with no end in sight. It is only when, in a fit of bitter despair, she seeks solitude in the vastness of her own sprawling castle and climbs a long disused and forgotten tower stair that she comes face to face with herself in the very same magic mirror used by her stepmother of old.

It promises her respite in its shimmering depths, but can Snow White trust a device that was so precious to a woman who sought to cause her such irreparable harm? Can she confront the demons of her own difficult past to discover a better future for herself and her family? And finally, can she release her soul-crushing grief and suffocating loneliness to once again discover what "happily ever after" really means?

Only time will tell as she wrestles with her past and is forced to confront The Reflections of Queen Snow White.
Guest Review: ***ARC furnished in exchange for an honest review.*** I am so glad I took the time to read this book! It is a continuation of a classic fairy tail showing what real life is like with love, happiness, and even sadness. A great read that asks you to look within yourself to find happiness no matter the odds. Very short, quick read.

Book Review: The Ever After of Ella and Micha

The Ever After of Ella and Micha (The Secret #4) by Jessica Sorensen: The day Ella has waited for is just around the corner. It's the day she'll marry Micha, the love of her life, the light that guided her out of the darkness. It looks like it will be the perfect Christmas-until an unexpected package arrives with a harsh reminder of Ella's past. Suddenly Ella doesn't feel as confident about her future. Can she really have a "happily-ever-after" if she's never even seen one?

Micha will stand by Ella no matter what she's going through-though he worries that she might leave him standing at the altar again. When he's offered a once-in-a-lifetime chance to tour with his favorite bands for three months, Micha knows he can't leave Ella behind. But can he ask her to uproot her life to join him on the road?

Now Ella and Micha must find a way to balance their fears, their dreams, and their love . . . if they ever want to hear wedding bells.

TeriLyn's thoughts: **ARC graciously provided by publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**
The Ever After of Ella and Micha is a satisfying ending to Ella and Micha's journey. It ties up loose ends and reminds why we adored Ella and Micha from the beginning. For me, I was happy with their ending in book two. I thought it was a comfortable and natural place for their story to end. With Ever After we are getting a continuation of that, a bonus if you like the couple. However, for me, it was more of the same thus why I'm only rating it three stars. We learn some new things about Ella mostly and see Micha give her unconditional love as always but nothing really earth-shifting happens. It their same, complicated but beautiful love growing roots. Ella does go through some changes in the book after receiving her Mother's journal which is monumental for her and satifying for the reader. Ever After did give me one of my most favorite moments between Ella and Micha, their wedding vows. It was written flawlessly and easy to read. It's a nice, simple ending for a couple whom I've adored since The Secret.

TeriLyn's thoughts: **ARC graciously provided by the author in exchange for an honest review**

Pieces for You is the second installment in Genna Rulon’s For You series and focuses on Sam Whitney and Griffin Evenson after the events of book one, Only For You. Pieces for You could be read as a standalone but I would not recommend doing so as you would miss important details of the series. I loved OFY and had been looking forward to Sam’s story since I finished book one and her story completely exceeded my expectations. This debut series from Genna Rulon will have you laughing, crying, hurting, and rejoicing. Ms. Rulon’s writing is witty, smart, and addicting; her characters are much of the same as well as completely engaging. You will feel for Sam in a big way and you will experience her emotions just as she’s experiencing them. There are also a few POV changes in which we hear from Griffin. This book is heavier than book one as the plot is one of redemption and healing after Sam has been through extreme darkness and agony in her life. I read through this book fairly quickly because I became so invested in the events transpiring in Sam’s life.

Samantha Carson (because I refuse to call her Whitney, you’ll understand why when you read) has literally been through hell and survived. She is one of the strongest female characters I have had the pleasure of reading. Her story is truly inspiring. In Only for You, Sam is a spitfire and full of life then we see that zest completely stripped from her against her will. As Pieces for You begins we experience the after effects of Sam’s tragedy and see her start as a hollow shell working towards becoming whole. Sam is witty, sarcastic, funny, smart, and beautiful. Her healing process is just that, a process, and the way she works through it will endear and enlighten you. Sam coping with not only what happened to her but also coping with healing and moving on is major. Sam is unpredictable she can scare and surprise you in one scene. A major theme of the book that I found really important is that of family. The author shows us the meaning of “you can’t pick your family”. Sam doesn’t get support from her relatives but she gets unconditional support and love from her best friends. Sam, Ev, Hunter, and Griffin show us the true meaning of family and the power those close to us can have in aiding our emotional healing. Their camaraderie is unrivaled. Sam finds strength through them, especially Griffin, and she’s fiercely protective of and loyal to those bonds.

Sam’s protector and love is Griffin. He’s a central character in the story but I feel like he still isn't as central as Sam. This is her story. But Griffin facilitates her healing in so many ways. He cherishes her, protects her, and provides exactly what she needs. Griffin wears his heart on his sleeve when it comes to Sam and I think it’s beautiful. He aided in her healing so much by cherishing and understanding her. The book gets a bit psychological when its Griffin’s POV and shows us that he will stop at nothing to protect her and preserve their relationship. The depth of his commitment is as inspiring as Sam’s healing. You will fall in love with Griffin.

If you loved Everleigh and Hunter they’re back in PFY. Their story continues to move forward and we get a glimpse of their lives together. However, the support they both show Sam and what they provide for her will make you fall in love with those two all over again. The re-introduction of Meg is great too. We learn a little more about her and the author intrigues us just enough to be excited to hear her story in book three. And Sam’s therapist, Thia, was my favorite addition. She was awesome and instrumental in Sam’s recovery. Pieces for You is much different than Only for You. The subject matter is definitely dark but the author so beautifully orchestrates light into the story that it becomes full of hope, redemption, and salvation. It’s an inspiring story and I’m grateful to have read it.

AL Park's thoughts: This was a great follow-on from Tears for Tess. I actually think I liked this book better. We get Tess and Q’s points of view. I loved getting into Q’s head. I was unsure Ms. Winters could get darker than the first novel, but she did. It was heartwrenching having to go through the tragedy with both characters, feeling their pain and guilt. I wondered if the two would ever be able to find a way through the black holes they each found themselves in and make it back to each other.

Once again, Ms. Winters’ writing is beautiful, and I look forward to her next novel.

2. Until You (Fall Away Series) by Penelope Douglas:
4.9 out of 5 stars  Have you ever been so angry that hitting things felt good? Or so numb that you actually felt high? The past few years have been like that for me. Traveling between fury and indifference with no stops in between.

*This is Jared's point of view and a companion novel to BULLY. It can be read as a stand alone, but reading BULLY first is strongly encouraged. Having Tate's point of view will help you appreciate Jared's side more. This is NOT Bully re-told.

3. Trouble by Samantha Towle:
4.6 out of 5 stars Mia Monroe is running. Running from a person she doesn't ever want to find her. Running from a past she doesn't ever want anyone to know. Desperate to find a future, that yesterday, she could only dream of having.

Jordan Matthews likes easy. Easy women. Easy life.

Then he meets Mia.

She’s damaged, troubled and has more baggage than any person can carry. But the more Jordan gets to know Mia-for the first time in his life-he finds himself wanting to try hard for something … for someone … for her.

4. Bully (Fall Away Series) by Penelope Douglas
4.6 out of 5 stars My name is Tate. He doesn't call me that, though. He would never refer to me so informally, if he referred to me at all. No, he'll barely even speak to me.

But he still won't leave me alone.

We were best friends once. Then he turned on me and made it his mission to ruin my life. I've been humiliated, shut out, and gossiped about all through high school. His pranks and rumors got more sadistic as time wore on, and I made myself sick trying to stay out of his way. I even went to France for a year, just to avoid him.

But I'm done hiding from him now, and there's no way in hell I'll allow him to ruin my senior year. He might not have changed, but I have. It's time to fight back.

5. Enslaved By The Ocean (Criminals Of The Ocean, #1) by Bella Jewel, Lauren McKellar:
4.8 out of 5 stars This is a modern day romance. If you enjoy a biker style book, then you will enjoy the way this one goes down! Alpha males all round. It isn't a cliffhanger, however the end is left open for the next book.

A connection will bring them together. A connection will pull them apart.

6. The Proposition 1: The Ferro Family (The Proposition: The Ferro Family)
by H.M. Ward: 4.6 out of 5 stars His dark hair, bright eyes, and cocky grin look just the way I remembered. The last time I saw Bryan's Ferro's beautiful body, he was naked and shimmering with sweat. This time he's wearing a tux and a wicked smirk that makes my heart beat too fast. It's been so long since I've seen him, the moment feels supercharged.

7. Last Hit (Hitman) by Jessica Clare, Jen Frederick:
4.4 out of 5 stars Nikolai
I have been a contract killer since I was a boy. For years I savored the fear caused by my name, the trembling at the sight of my tattoos. The stars on my knees, the marks on my fingers, the dagger in my neck, all bespoke of danger. If you saw my eyes, it was the last vision you'd have. I have ever been the hunter, never the prey. With her, I am the mark and I am ready to lie down and let her capture me. Opening my small scarred heart to her brings out my enemies. I will carry out one last hit, but if they hurt her, I will bring the world down around their ears.

Daisy
I've been sheltered from the outside world all my life. Homeschooled and farm-raised, I'm so naive that my best friend calls me Pollyanna. I like to believe the best in people. Nikolai is part of this new life, and he's terrifying to me. Not because his eyes are cold or my friend warns me away from him, but because he's the only man that has ever seen the real me beneath the awkwardness. With him, my heart is at risk..and also, my life.

8. Fall Into Me (Heart of Stone) by K.M. Scott:
4.8 out of 5 stars The second book in the Heart of Stone series continues the sensual and emotional story of Tristan and Nina that began in Crash Into Me...

Wealthier and more powerful than most men his age, Tristan Stone merely has to give voice to his desires and whatever he wants is his. Money has given him the ability to say nothing and no one is beyond his reach.

Except for Nina. Stripped of her memory after an accident, she doesn't remember the man who loves her. Now he must find a way to show her why she fell in love with him, but the past is always just a step behind, threatening to take her away forever.

9. Holding Out (Hawks Motorcycle Club Series, #1) by Lila Rose:
4.0 out of 5 stars Zara Edgingway is a twenty-six-year-old secretary. She has a daughter that apparently knows-it-all and a best friend that could possibly have the mouth of Satan, but she's been with her through hell and back. Then there's the hunk'a'licious biker neighbor finally showing interest in her.
If only she isn't about to face her next obstacle in life, the one she ran from six years ago: her ex husband.

Talon Marcus is the president of the Hawks Motorcycle Club. For two years, he's had his eye on the quiet, reclusive, yet sassy, neighbor Zara. Finally, he has the chance to claim her as his woman. Just when her past catches up with her, she'll need, not only his protection, but the help from his biker brothers.
Now, if only she'd stop fighting him along the way.

10. Crash Into Me (Heart of Stone) by KM Scott:  What would you give up for everything?

Tristan Stone was powerful, commanding, sex incarnate. And he wore it all so well. From the moment his mesmerizing gaze met mine, I had no choice but surrender to everything he was. His power. His decadence. His passion. He was all I never knew I needed.

He wanted to possess me, and I wanted to be his everything. All I had to do was accept what he offered. But everything has a price.

The world he gave me fulfilled my wildest dreams, but would that be enough when the past crashed into the present?
