Dreaming of the Wolf is Coming Along Nicely!!

Woohoo, I'm nearly a 1/4 of the way done on Dreaming with the Wolf! Hope to have 1/3 of it done by the 3-day long weekend coming up! Although I'll be going in for a couple of hours to take care of the book drop. But once I get more of the story written, it means I've got to write the synopsis for marketing, and give ideas for a book cover. Woohoo! I love that part! Having a book cover makes the whole process real. Like the manuscript is really going to be a book!

Weeds, Anyone?

Okay, I want this for my front yard, back yard, and all around yard. *sigh* What I have is weeds. I spent about an hour pulling them because of all the rain last night. Couldn't earlier as it was in the 90's and hotter than blazes. So if I had this, it would be cool, and forested, no weeds, or none you'd notice anyway, shaded, and a perfect path for walking AND wolf friendly!!!

The horrible thing is, I have a mountain of weeds I pulled and that's only a tiny fraction of all the ones that are l...

Storms Wreaked Havoc Last Night!

We had terrible storms last night, lost electricity and the Internet even earlier than that. Finally had to just give up on everything!!!

Along with gale-force winds and heavy rain, and lots of lightning, we had hail! The other night they must have had hail other locations because the sky was so green. Last night, I didn't look. The lightning was right overhead.

Anyway, it's quiet today, couldn't get my Internet to work for a long time this morning, and I'm working feverishly on Dreaming of...

This is Me at the Library!

Okay, so yesterday was an awful, terrible, horrible bad day--it started when I arrived at work to learn 2 of our librarians called in sick. And our volunteer was coming in late. And...Mondays are always our busiest day of the week! Until school's out in 2 more weeks. Then every day is unbelievable.

Talk about harried!!! So there were 3 of us--2 when 1 of us had to take lunch break and so it was absolutely crazy.

So this is me! Once I finally got things under control!

Where's the Rain???

This is what it looked like last night..and then it spit rain. I wanted rain! Real rain! Then it would be easier to pull weeds. *sigh*

Next week it was supposed to be 95% chance of rain for 3 days. It's changed its mind. No rain now. Which means I'm going to have to buy a new hose after running over the other one in the tall grass.

The good news is: I MOWED! At least my neighbors I'm sure are happy. :)

And...I actually got 8,000 done on Dreaming of the Wolf! Woohoo!!! I'm so thrilled!

My daughter informed me that SciFi Channel has now become the SyFy Channel. I think it's plain dumb. What about Doug, the SciFi guy? I much prefer that then SyFy. It just looks WRONG. :)

Woohoo!!! I sent off my submission to the nonfiction romance book from the makers of the Chicken Soup series after receiving a special invite to contribute! Some biggie authors will be in the book, and then there's me!!! :)

And my contribution was approved!!!
So I'm excited about it.

After I write my blogs this morning, I'm off to work on Dreaming of the Wolf.... still brainstorming. It's almost painful!!!
