Hunk in the Shower with a Sad Wet Cat!

Although the cat doesn't look like he likes the shower head all that much. Poor cat. But this is definitely a hero type. He's doing the washing, and not making his ladylove do the work, don't you think?
I think we should have a better shot of him though, just to see the expression on his face. :) Is he just as sad, frustrated, smiling, horrified (the last, because his picture is being taken!) ??? Inquiring minds want to know.
What ...

Nonfiction Book on Romance!!!

I've been asked to submit an article for a nonfiction book on romance!!! Woohoo! The book will contain some big time authors--Heather Graham, whose mysteries I love, and many others. So this was really exciting for me!
The picture on the right was meant to sell the faucet fixtures. Would you buy it??? :)
Sex...uhm, romance sells!
I lost all my beautiful historical romance pictures. *sigh* Or I would have posted some of those. :)
Have a wonderful Thursday!

A Highlander??

Okay, I love this picture and I lost it when my computer crashed, but I found him again! :) Now, I'm not really into long hair on men, but....I'd make an exception with this guy.
Did I ever tell you the time we had a construction worker at our house who had long blond hair and my then young daughter asked him why he had long hair? Most men didn't wear long hair in the area where we lived in Oklahoma.
The guy smiled and said, "I used to be a girl."
My daughter shook her head, very serious like an...

Killing the Bloodlust is Off!

I was really, really busy yesterday trying to catch up on word count. My goal is to finish Taming the Highland Wolf by the end of April, and I kept thinking Sunday was the last day, because May 1 is on Saturday, but I can have another weekend to finish it. That gives me the whole month of May to revise, edit, rewrite, and send in by Jun 1, which was my goal and my deadline.
Not that I haven't been doing the revising, editing, rewriting, all along. I do. It's just part of the process for me. Bu...

Research--Wolves and Werewolves
Male Iberian wolf (J.C. Blanco, Spanish wolf biologist)
I love doing research which gets me into trouble because I can't quit. When I should be writing. But in Taming the Highland Wolf, Julia Wildthorn's friend is an Iberian Wolf. I was going to make her a Mexican Wolf, but I loved the werewolf legends in Iberia, soooo, she became an Iberian Wolf instead. :)
Wolves are located in many different habitats in Spain, just like in North America. They eat roe deer and wild boar. Unfortunately, they a...

Wolf Fever is a Go!!!

It reminds me of when my dad was working on the next space flight to take off and they'd say, "It's a go!" Then they'd have launch parties and my parents often hosted one, then other employees did. The excitement was electric.
So I'm excited and relieved just like my dad would be when it was a go!
Wolf Fever is coming out in December! Ever feel relief and excitement w...

Love Romance Passion

The fun thing about being an author, is including stuff in a book that intrigues us! We never know if what we include will remain in the book, but here's an example of what will be in Taming the Highland Wolf if it makes the cut--a reference to Love Romance Passion's Get Into Bed with Julia Wildthorn (Author Interview), since she is the heroine and author of werewolf romances. :) The interview hasn't really occurred, but it might, you never know.
Now, if the hero is searching for information o...

Movie Making Madness

I need to make some more movies! I'm behind on everything. Not enough hours in the day. I started gathering pictures for the latest movie venture, but what with the crash I had, I even lost the movies I made for the other books. Luckily, I have them on Youtube or I wouldn't have them at all. *sigh* But it means I can't even upload them to blogs anymore.

It's amazing what you lose when the hard drive crashes. Like, everything. :( Speaking of movies and Scottish hunks, oh, well we might not have...

Where I Live--Bullets Firing in Saloons--Robert Duvall was Here!

I reference cowboy werewolves in Taming the Highland Wolf. No wonder! Here's the local news featuring Billy Joe Shaver, Robert Duvall, and Willie Nelson.

The wolves are still in Texas! I mean, cowboys. :)
Did I ever tell you the story about one of my ancestors on my father's side where one of the Temples ended up in Texas? We didn't know we had any relatives here, but the story goes he was a sheriff and this is in the late ...
