Yikes, I didn't Write!

Patriotic Bear featured in Texas Monthly some years back!

Well, I had fun. But I didn't write!!!

After the dentist, my daughter and I ate at a "Bangkok" restaurant. Great food, and then we ran through the rain and got soaked on the way to a shop where she bought sandals. They didn't have my size. And she found a dress for my son's wedding. I didn't. LOL

But I still had a ball, and by the time we finished running all over looking for things, it was time for me to return home and it was already 7...

Wet, Wet, and More Wet!

It's been VERY wet here from the downgraded hurricane in the Gulf, and so look what I found??? And I'm NOT complaining. hehehe... Actually, I think he might be the Navy SEAL I've been looking for!!!

Now... I have to say that I was even able to pull the juniper tree growing between the cracks. I don't know if it'll make it though. I have it in a "nursery" to baby it for a while. It looked like I got the whole tap root though. But it doesn't look like it has any fine hair roots, so it might not ...

Crepe myrtles in bloom.

The Pink Panther and...

My version with a teddy bear in a 50's poodle skirt.

A VERY pink poodle!

And hammerhead sharks who feed on pink shrimp. I saw a neat special on that, but couldn't find pictures for the blog. :) Here is a pink porpoise.

Pink salmon, of course!

And pink flamingos!

A pink rose made of pink coral.

Pink coral under water.

BIG pink cotton candy!

Hurricanes in the Gulf mean...

Well, here's some of the offshoot of the storm whipping up in the Gulf. We really needed the rain!!! But my Internet was down because of it, so I am only able to put up a short post before it goes out again. More storms on their way.

And do you believe tomorrow is already the 1st of July??? What happened to June?

Have a super Wednesday! Hump day, wooohoo!!!

Brown means...

scrumptious chocolate!

And teddy bears!

The earth, nature, freshly turned soil.

It's roasted turkey browned to a golden tender delight with lots of tasty brown gravy to go with the brown-skinned potatoes.

It's tiger eyes and...

amber.

It's an artistic version of a brown cloudy day.

Gray wolves with brown guard hairs.

Chocolate!!!

A brown kilt for one of the Highland clans.

Brown leather bracers for a Highland warrior...

And more chocolate!

And of course, hot chocolate too!

Do you like brown???

Hmm, at leas...

Gray includes...

moonstone and hematite...and silver...

a lot of animals in the animal kingdom--gray squirrels, foxes, wolves, birds, elephants, just to name a few.

African Grey Parrots--isn't he handsome?

I'd prefer to see my elephants in a zoo, thank you very much. I get my car dinged enough in parking lots, without an elephant resting his trunk on the top of my car...not to mention all the extra weight on those dusty gray tires...

Can you imagine how much water it takes to give this elephant a bath? I was in l...

Black is...

onyx!

And secrets, and seductive, and mystery and death.

Black is the night, and quiet, and vampires and forever.

Black is soothing, and scary, and rejuvenating and powerful.

Here is black licorice from Australia. I couldn't find any pictures of licorice that I normally think of that is black all the way through, but I thought this was really neat!

Black is slimming too!

Black is power--FBI, ninjas--the black suits--the black SUVs with the black windows.

Black lenses on sunglasses lends mystery, int...

It's Just Not Fair...

I know I've said this before, but life isn't fair! This picture was taken this morning...thunderstorms hitting north of us, but it was SUNNY and hot, had a dark cloud for a while sitting overhead because I was watering, but then it went away too.

So then tonight, the sky looked like this. It's storming up north of us again. Grumble, grumble.

*Sigh* But nary a drop of water for us....

I talked about volunteer plants before, but here's a new one. I was working hard pulling weeds out of my jasmin...

Red is...

sensuous fruits like strawberries and cherries...

And red bell peppers, apples, and tomatoes.

Red is for red hot Santa Clauses!

Red is for this kilted warrior, one of many Highland clans that have red in their plaids...

Red hot lovers and vampire red haze...
the color of passion and of rage. It's hot, warming cold rooms. It's vibrant and catches the eye. I went to see the Broadway play Dracula in NYC one year when I was serving on Active Duty in in New Jersey at Fort Monmouth and all the scenes we...

Yellow means...

The eyes of the wolf...

Warmth and sunshine. To a dark house, yellow will brighten it. Yellow kitchens are thought to improve appetites. Yellow is meant to lift spirits, to cheer, to enlighten the dark. Here is a yellow sapphire. And yellow squash and bell pepper.

A yellow sunset--isn't it beautiful!

The sun glaring over the city makes me hot and want to put some shades on.

The cheery giant sunflowers next to fields of yellow corn cheer a garden.

The walls behind this man show the brightness and c...
