SPEAK LIFE
But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So, just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ. – 1 John 2:27 NLT
Do you have a constant conflict going on between your ears? Maybe it’s time to bury your mental hatchet. “A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.” – Proverbs 15:1
Yes, you attract or repel wrath by the words you speak. This is true naturally, spiritually, and mentally. When you generally have something ugly to say, you attract the dislike or the wrath of others. An evangelist friend of mine used to call people like that “death breathers.” Your mouth, when not under the control of Holy Spirit, makes your mind a mental magnet for strife, trouble, and conflict—aka death.
Be a life breather! Here are some verses to breathe energy and life into everything around you, including your thinking habits. A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. – Proverbs 15:4
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. – Proverbs 18:21
There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, But the tongue of the wise promotes health. – Proverbs 12:18
Yes, right words will not only energize and motivate you for your next upgrade, they’ll get you out of mental trouble and bring mental health and healing!
Suffering from depression, self-doubt, or an unforgiving mindset? Living in past defeats? Speak Right Words! You will prosper by letting God get a hold of what you speak about yourself and others.
Declaration: The power of His presence manifests as I seek His presence in spirit and truth. When I speak life, I see His power work through me! I speak Truth because Holy Spirit in me reveals the Truth to me.

BE THE BELOVED
Abner shouted down to Joab, “Must we always be killing each other? Don’t you realize that bitterness is the only result? When will you call off your men from chasing their Israelite brothers?” – 2 Samuel 2:26 NLT
The most popular excuse for not attending church and even failing to believe in God is because “Christians are such hypocrites!” Really? While it is true—there’s not a Christian alive whose talk matches their walk perfectly, think about this: there is not a person, Christian or not, who has never acted out of character or stepped out of line. Yes, all people are hypocrites.
The truth is that churches are filled with people. Though they want to follow God and do the right thing every time, they are going to fail. People, in church or out, are going to hurt you and disappoint you, so why would you let that keep you from a solid relationship with God?
There is no such thing as the perfect church. If you find it, don’t go there because you’ll mess it up! Likewise, there is no such thing as perfect people.
As Christians, we try to live differently and be better than we used to be. Unfortunately, when we wear the mantle of “Christ follower,” unbelievers judge us more harshly because we dared to step up and proclaim that we want to live by a higher standard. They then use that as an excuse to yell, “Hypocrite!” and reject not only the church but Jesus Himself.
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.” – Matthew 23:27
Don’t let that be you! Understand that churches are full of fallen people just like you. Even elders, deacons, and pastors mess up and hurt people. Our mistakes should bring us together, and our willingness to strive for the heart of Jesus should keep us that way.
Declaration: I know that I have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. All of us that have come to the foot of the cross have. The blood of Jesus cleanses my stinking thinking, and I am filled with grace, mercy, and forgiveness because He gave that to me. I will use my story for His glory and encourage others who are seeking Him.

GRACE TO SEE HIM
TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBERS
February 25, 2025 – 02/25/2025
2 – A Faithful Witness & Being Set Apart
25 – Grace for Grace
GRACE TO SEE HIM
For who can eat or enjoy anything apart from him? – Ecclesiastes 2:25 NLT
If you ask 100 people to define the days we’re living in, you’ll get 100 different responses. For the unemployed, they are fiercely competitive days. For those in the military, they are troubling days. For the businessman, they are days of opportunity. A Bible-thumping Christian will likely tell you “The Last Days.”
I agree that the time is short. I also believe the best descriptor of the times we live in would be “busy days.” Does time seem to go by faster than it used to? I’ll tell you why these are fast and furious times: technology. Fifty years ago, folks didn’t travel as far or as often. They knew only a handful of people and likely talked long distance on the phone only on Sunday evenings when the rates were low. There were only three or four television stations that played the national anthem at 2 a.m. and then cut to the “bug races” until 5 a.m. It’s not like that anymore.
Through technology, mobile devices, and a 24-hour news cycle, you are aware today of more murders and scandals in one week than people in the 1960s knew in a lifetime. You travel more miles and talk to more people, thanks to cell phones, email, and Facebook. You and I do more in a year than those before us did in an entire lifetime.
No wonder you’re worn out! If you’re not careful, the busyness of your life will keep you oblivious to the special days the Lord has given you. Don’t miss incredible opportunities. See that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. – Ephesians 5:15-16
If you want to redeem or “cash in” on the day you are living in, the Bible says to “walk circumspectly”—aka: know what’s going on around you. You’ll find opportunities to make a maximum impact on the world around you and for God to get maximum glory. God is moving like never before, and most people don’t even know it. They are busily focused on themselves.
These are the days of miracles. Have you seen one? Do you need one? Go and be one!
Declaration: Jesus calls me and tells me, “I love you! Walk with me. I’m your Rock. I’m your strong tower. I will give you rest and prosper the work of your hands. I will redeem the time stolen from you! Trust only in Me!” I believe Him. He has done mighty things in my life.

KINGDOM SERVANT

KINGDOM SERVANT
A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility, correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will. – 2 Timothy 2:24-26 NKJV
In the summer of 2000, our church team did an outreach in Cleburne we called the “Not Quite as Hot as Hell Street Outreach.” It was well above 100 degrees, and we were cooking hotdogs and hamburgers over a huge outdoor grill in a parking lot.
I had invited local pastors from every church in the area to help us lead people to Jesus and then plug them into the body of Christ. Since our church was not based in Cleburne, I thought it was a good idea to get the local churches involved.
Three pastors showed up that day and none of them were there to help. It became immediately apparent they were really there to check out what we were doing. I explained we were rounding up hundreds of people and expecting a lot of people to be saved after the concert. One of the pastors asked me a question, and he was dead serious—emphasis on the word “dead.”
“If we help you pray with these people,” he said, wiping sweat from his brow, “who’s going to get the credit?” I looked back at him stunned and said, “Jesus, I hope.”
This is a perfect illustration of the lack of kingdom mentality, even among pastors. Before you go out in ministry, missions, or outreach of any kind, ask yourself, “Who is going to get the credit?” Make sure the answer is not you but Jesus.
“…or is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” – Acts 4:12
Declaration: God wants the glory, but He wants to give me the credit when I serve in His Kingdom. People should always see the family resemblance. I have because I love Him. The Father loves it when I look and act like Him.

DIVINE FAMILY
Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either.
But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
– 1 John 2:23 NLT
I can’t stand it when things aren’t done right, especially in the body of Christ. Like most leaders, movers, and shakers, I have a God-given vision, and I want it to go the right way.
The Lord made one thing crystal clear to me about the work you and I do for Him: Just as there is a right way to do all things; there is a right way to handle those things that are not done right.
Yes, there is a correct way to handle yourself in situations that are far less than perfect or when you have to deal with shoddy work done by folks you trusted. Do all that you can do for success. If the results still seem like a dud, go with what you have and make the greatest example of Jesus you possibly can.
Make whatever situation you have been handed glorify the Lord. Remember my mantra: blessed are the flexible. Retain your witness and trust the Holy Spirit to lead you through what sometimes feels like failure—painful failure.
Know this: there will be a time for corrections after the situation is over. However, at that critical point, Jesus is trusting you to make the most of a mess—and of His name!
If you worked at a large corporation where the boss was on the top floor and you never saw him, but you worked with his daughter, and she was always angry, blaming others, firing people, and letting everyone know what a bad job they were doing, what would you think of her father, the boss man? You would think he is just like his angry, messed-up daughter!
Remember, we bear the family name of Jesus Christ. When we lose it, pass the buck, or attack other Christians when things don’t go as planned, we’re putting a black mark on our heavenly Father’s reputation. This is also called “taking His name in vain,” and it’s one of the Ten Commandments.
You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. – Exodus 20:7
Declaration: I carry the name and the presence of God in a way that pleases Him. I am an ambassador of Christ when things go right or go wrong. It is important to me that I glorify God in all things.

WITNESS TO REVELATION
TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBERS
February 22, 2025 – 02/22/2025
2 – A Faithful Witness & Being Set Apart
22 – Personal Revelation
WITNESS TO REVELATION
Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. – 2 Timothy 2:22 NLT
John had one of the most powerful personal revelations ever and wrote it in the Book of Revelation. He says I was in the spirit on the Lord’s Day. I wasn’t backing off, I wasn’t shutting down, I wasn’t freaking out. I was in the spirit on the Lord’s Day, and that’s when Jesus, as a mighty warrior, showed up on my behalf. When I saw Him, He didn’t look nice. His eyes were like burning coals—a flame. He had hair like wolves, His feet were brass, and He was getting ready to stomp something.
Why would Jesus show up to the man of God like that? Because this was on the Lord’s Day when Jesus had to show up on behalf of His people.
Then He showed him the plan of how He would show up in the rapture of the church, to the church, and the Second Coming for Israel. It’s remarkable to me.
He writes letters to the seven churches. One of the churches is Smyrna, and it was not a terrible rebuke. I think it’s important we learn how Jesus speaks to the churches. Read Revelation 2 and 3.
He told Smyrna that He knew the terrible persecution and the tribulation they were going through and their poverty. He says, “You’re so rich.”—that means He’s impressed. He says, “I know you’re going through some really bad things.” Then, He tells them that worse things are coming, and some of them will get thrown into prison.
He starts off by reminding them it is going to be worse. Then, He reminds them that His resurrection declares that the worst thing is not the last thing. He says, “I was dead, and I overcame it. If you overcome this mess and get all the way to your very last breath, I’ll give you a crown of life.”
That’s His word to Smyrna. It’s an incredible word. I imagine that they would have appreciated a word like this. It was like He was saying, “I’m showing up. I’ll be there in 10 minutes. I’m going to take care of everything. But He says, “I need you to man up, and I want you to pass this test.”
Declaration: I am grateful Jesus reveals Heavenly things to me. I know His Word is for us all. The letter to Smyrna encourages me to know that in these darkening times, I must be intentional about having a pure heart and clean hands. I know My Lord will come again and bring us all to Him. Oh, what a loving Savior I have.

HE’S IN ME; I’M IN HIM
If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work. – 2 Timothy 2:21 NLT
I miss the days when my kids were little, and they would bring me their latest crayon masterpiece. Now, my kids weren’t the most artistic bunch. They brought me a lot of unflattering large circles with heads on them. “Daddy, it’s you!” they would squeal. I told myself it was not because they saw me as fat but because they were at an early stage of development.
I’m no psychologist, but I noticed that the houses my children drew were always whole. The families they drew were happy and complete. Some of the pictures the children draw in children’s church are enough to make you cry.
Half of their house runs off the page, maybe because they just can’t picture it as whole. Or they draw a picture of a family but leave themselves out. Sad sunshine, rainy days and clouds, daddies on the edge of the picture, while everyone else is by the house. You get my drift.
So, I’m glad my kids always drew happy family pictures. I would hang them on the refrigerator, but not before giving them a really crazy, over-the-top reaction like, “Good googly-moogly! I thought I was looking in a mirror!”
I think that’s what Father God wants from us—to give Him little moments when we look like Him. The life you live is an open demonstration of what you believe about God. Hopefully, those moments add up to a life that looks like Him, so He experiences something that says, “Look, Daddy. It’s you!”
“Therefore, be imitators of God, as loved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God.” – Ephesians 5:1-2
If God has a refrigerator, there are pictures of you looking like Him plastered all over it. You can count on it!
Declaration: God’s the author of my life and the artist who created my appearance. As others look at the masterpiece He created, I want them to see Jesus in me today!

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBERS

ARMED AND EXPECTING VICTORY
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. – Galatians 2:20 NLT
Are you ready for a demonic attack on your thought life? Many of us think we are, when in reality, the devil has a head start. Remember, he’s been messing with minds for around 6,000 years, so he’s really good at it. If you think you can withstand a sneak attack from the father of lies himself, stop and think about the number of pastors, evangelists, and upright Christians he has devoured because they didn’t recognize the enemy sneaking past the gates of their minds.
How can you keep evil from taking over your head? Armor up!
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. – Ephesians 6:13
The evil day is here, my friend, and you’ve got to have your defenses up, or you will not be able to stand—and He has specifically called you to stand!
God has not called you to “hang in there” because you are vulnerable when you’re hanging from something. You are called to stand. It does no good to stand if you’re not armored up, so check out exactly how this works.
Stand, therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God – Ephesians 6:14-17
Notice all these pieces are defensive except the Sword of the Spirit. You’re under attack every day and need to withstand so that you can counterattack with the weapon of the Word. The devil will attack your mind with lustful, jealous, angry, sensual, prideful, greedy, selfish thoughts—all day, every day. Whether you fall for them is up to you.
Declaration: I build up your defense against satan’s attacks by thanking and praising God for His grace and goodness. He has my back when the devil comes against me. He gave me power and authority to trample on serpents, and I live free and joy-filled.

FAITH FOR FREEDOM
TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBERS

FAITH FOR FREEDOM
You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. – James 2:19 NLT
So much of the strife in our very limited brain space is over things that are not actually happening. You fret about the future, fantasize about possible outcomes, and rehearse for fights you may never have. You not only talk to snakes—satan—when you do this, you borrow trouble that may never come.
I like to call these imagined threats “dragons.” Many of the dragons I’ve fought have not been over what people actually thought of me. They were battles over what I thought people thought about me. I exhausted myself on things that were not real.
The Bible says the devil comes in the symbolic form of a serpent trying to deceive us. He is also pictured as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour by bringing condemning accusations against us. For me, the scariest form of the devil from hell is the dragon. The Good Book mentions the word “dragon” 13 times in the New Testament. It shows up in our lives as an overwhelming threat that wants to chew us up and spit us out.
In my opinion, dragons are not real, just like the shark from the movie Jaws that haunts us when we’re in a river, or the backyard swimming pool, the threat of the dragon messes with our minds. You know what I’m talking about. You know the famous score by John Williams plays in your mind each time you take a swim, no matter what kind of water you’re in. Admit it!
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. – John 8:32
Well, the devil is just like that. Just because fear and strife are real does not mean the threat itself is real! Knowing the truth will make you a mental dragon slayer.
I refuse to spend my time and energy on battles that don’t exist. By refusing to do so, I’m better equipped to win the real battles that do come my way. Are you?
Declaration: God has promised me peace for today. To borrow trouble from tomorrow is a big mistake I refuse to make. I live in this moment with Him and enjoy His presence as He enjoys mine!

GOODNESS, ALL THE TIME
TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBERSFebruary 18, 2025 – 02/18/2025

18 – Life More Abundantly (+) The Bondage of Sin (-)
GOODNESS, ALL THE TIME
Since He himself has gone through suffering and testing,
He is able to help us when we are being tested. – Hebrews 2:18 NLT
This may come as a shock to you, but God is good. No, really. God is real, and so is His goodness. I think God has gotten the worst PR imaginable from His kids. You and I have not represented His goodness very well over the past 2,000 years. Part of that is because I don’t think we really believe God is all that good.
The goodness of God is a very foundational principle to being a devil-stomping Christian. It’s been under a bunch of dirt for a long time, but it’s worth its weight in gold to do an archeological dig for it. Once you do, you’ll find this fundamental truth: God Is Good, and The Devil Is Bad.
For some reason, you can teach a 3-year-old this, but it’s difficult to understand when you grow up and life gets hard. I’ve come to believe it is impossible to understand even for a student after their third year in seminary!! No matter how smart you think you are, this simple truth changes everything. It sets you free.
Childlike faith in the goodness of God causes you to receive the Kingdom of Heaven, first in salvation, then in your victorious journey through life. “Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” – Mark 10:15
Just because bad things happen or you “grow up” and no longer believe the Bible stories, doesn’t mean God is no longer good. He is, and if you think back through your life, He’s proven it time and time again.
Declaration: Even during the storm, God is good. When there is a storm in my life, I draw near to God. He always shows me how He uses the storm for His good purposes in my life. Jesus came to save and redeem me so I could live the abundant life He wants for me. I remember that and walk in His ways.
