Faith in His Process
Steeped in the WordMarch 19, 2025 – 03/19/2025

19 – Faith
May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then, you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Ephesians 3:19 NLT

Faith in His Process

God is a God of process. I am talking about the realization of God’s specific plan, purpose, and, yes, promises for your life. There is something much better for you, and the Word clearly shows you how to get it.

Nobody just wakes up and finds themselves in the midst of God’s promises for their lives. If you see someone’s glory, don’t forget to check out their story. There has never been, and there never will be, a great man or woman of God without great affliction. Process is never easy, though it is rewarding.

The three stages are Egypt, the Wilderness, and the Promised Land. God doesn’t change from stage to stage, but we change! We catch the vision for our upgrade. We mature.

Much must be accomplished within us before we can move on to the next stage. Take, for instance, money. If you’ve always been a slave to your finances and are drowning in a sea of debt, that mess is your Egypt. If you want out, ask God for deliverance, then Walk In It by making a plan for your money and bringing spending under control. Now, you’ve stepped into the Wilderness.

In the Wilderness, you continue to keep expenses under control and follow your financial plan and budget. You learn to trust God, and you begin to tithe. You acknowledge the source of your money by giving it back to God to be used for His purposes. When you see the way, you are blessed through tithing, you decide to give sacrificially over and above that 10 percent. Now, you’re stepping into the Promised Land.

In the financial Promised Land, your debt begins to melt away as your generosity to the poor and needy increases. You continue with your plan and keep your spending in check because the money you are giving away is actually being used to keep people across the world alive! In the Promised Land, you fight for them, and God gives you even more financial freedom so you can give even more away!

Are you getting the picture? Want out of debt? Make a plan, stick to it, and be a crazy giver. Process!

Which Wolf Do You Feed?

Jesus-driven thinking helps and heals. This is what the Bible has to say on the subject: For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. – Romans 8:6

The Cherokee nation knew it, too. Check out this spot-on tribal tale:

An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life. He told the boy, “A terrible fight is going on inside me. It is a fight between two wolves. One wolf is evil. He is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and self-doubt."

The old man continued: “The other wolf is good. He is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.” He then told the boy, “This same fight is going on inside you and inside every other person, too.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute, then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?” The wise old chief replied, “The one you feed.”

What wolf have you been feeding? Just know the wolf of evil thoughts will eventually devour you, and likely others as well. Thoughts become actions, and there is always collateral damage.

That’s not you! You can control your thought life and ensure the evil wolf starves to death.
et_pb_blurb"}">Faith in His Process

Our Deliverer

17 – Overcoming Victory
God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:17 NLT
Our Deliverer
My fascination with Texas history in general, and the Alamo in specific, began my seventh-grade year. My Texas history teacher, Dub Crocker, taught about the Alamo in a way I’d never heard. He was passionate and personal. We studied the 13-day siege in depth, and the three warriors many revere as the Texas Trinity – William Barrett Travis, James Bowie, and the “Lion of the West,” Davy Crocket.
They lost their battle on March 6, 1836, but were instrumental in winning the war!
You don’t have to be black to revere Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. or Catholic to love Mother Theresa. You don’t have to be a Texan to love the men who fought and died trying to defeat the evil dictator, Santa Anna.
Oh, the fight for freedom! There’s something special about those who battle darkness to unlock the chains of those in bondage. I’ve noticed that, while not all revolutionaries are Godly people, Godly people are always revolutionaries. We love freedom!
Yes, a true characterizing of the love of God is to hate bondage and oppression! Nearly 2,000 years before the freedom-fighting Texans fell at the Alamo, Jesus Christ was lifted on the cross.
He hated oppression and bondage to sin and the devil so much, He was willing to die to overcome it.
Get this straight: Jesus is not your jailer or your warden. He is your Deliverer. The Bible says that whom He sets free is “free indeed!”
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. – Galatians 5:1
It is my humble opinion that Jesus is the only way to have the freedom to forgive, to have joy and peace, to love, and to pursue a life of passion that makes a difference to others. Take advantage of this free gift! Acknowledge Him as your Savior today!
Grounded in FaithDeclare! The war for freedom has been won! When that molester of souls comes around, I remind him he’s not only defeated, but I have got the keys and authority to lock him up. I don’t let him into my life; I live free from sin, and its bondage because of My Savior!

The Lord also will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; The heavens and earth will shake; But the Lord will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. Joel 3:16 NKJV
Perfect Provision
Though miracles are great, and you should go after them when you need them, they are not the best way for God to prosper you. Needing a miracle means you have a problem you can’t solve, so God must step in.
There are two main ways God prospers us: “Seed, Time, and Harvest” (hard work and reward) and “Miracles of Provision.” Let’s look at three famous biblical miracles of provision.
Taking the five loaves and two fish and looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and broke them. Then He gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. –Luke 12:16-17
I would have loved to see the miracle of feeding the 5,000. Food just kept coming out of thin air! The message: it was a life or death situation. Been there?
This is what the Lord of Israel says, “the barrel of meal shall not empty, neither shall the jug of oil run dry until the day the LORD sends rain upon the earth.” –1 Kings 17:14
Because of an incredible miracle of provision, this poor widow made a mint while the rest of the nation was in a great depression. In a do-or-die situation, she fed Elijah, herself, and her son and made a profit during a famine. The message in this miracle is this: God prospered her miraculously and set her up to prosper after the famine ended.
And the children of Israel ate manna for 40 years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came to the borders of the land of Canaan. –Exodus 16:35
The Hebrew people were miraculously fed by God every morning for 40 years. That miracle stopped the day after they entered the Promised Land. The message in the miracle? Living from miracle to miracle is not God’s best for you. Move on to your Promised Land. Plan, plant, nurture, and harvest through hard work and generosity!
Grounded in FaithDeclare!I love the Lord Jesus, and the beautiful way He shows me the wonder of God and the Kingdom of God. I love to read His word, hear His voice, and see the miracles and signs all around me. My life is filled with the Wonder of Him.

And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body, you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Colossians 3:15 NLT
Perfect Theology
Fullness is having “the whole enchilada.” That means the whole of something, including everything that is related to it.
Fullness applies to our lives. If you want fullness in your marriage, decide if you will walk in the fullness of your marriage or if you are just going to be a little bit married and have a completely separate life. To have fullness, you have to be completely devoted to your marriage, to the outcome of your marriage, and to the fruit that shows up in your marriage. Are you going to do those things? Is your marriage going to be a ministry, and is your marriage going to leave a legacy? See, that’s fullness.
Living in Egypt and the wilderness is about having to survive today. But once you move over into The Promised Land, it’s about – we have to leave the legacy.
The Bible tells us, For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Colossians 2:9 In Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead, bodily, and I love this Scripture. As Bill Johnson once said, Jesus is perfect theology.
If you want to know anything about God, all you have to do is know Jesus. Because everything there is to know about God can be found in the person of Jesus Christ: what God’s intentions are, what His heart is, what His concerns are, and what His demands are. You can find all of that, including the character of God, the Father, and God, the Holy Spirit, within the person of the Lord, Jesus Christ. If you don’t know what to believe, believe what Jesus believes. If you don’t know what to prioritize, prioritize what Jesus tells you to prioritize.
You can find the answer to every single question in life, no matter the challenges; you can find them in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Grounded in FaithDeclare!I love the Lord Jesus, and the beautiful way He shows me the wonder of God and the Kingdom of God. I love to read His word, hear His voice, and see the miracles and signs all around me. My life is filled with the Wonder of Him.

Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3:14 NLT
Kingdom Eyesight
The box of the universe gets bigger every day, outrunning our ability to discover the end of it. The design of creation causes us to upgrade our telescope if we want to see more. If you want to see farther, you have to change to a bigger lens. In other words, moving forward means meeting the demands of the next level.
To get to the next level, you have to change how you think about and do things. Often, the change is so radical, that it takes a special grace from God to deal with the problem. Is it deeply rooted in your own identity and what you think you owe your allegiance to?
Take the example of Peter. Like Jesus and the other disciples, He was Jewish and Jews have very specific rules about food. God used that area of Peter’s life, unclean food, to teach him a lesson on whom God would love and allow into His Kingdom.
When Peter had a hard time inviting Gentiles, non-Jews, to be part of the body of Christ without them adhering to Jewish customs (food, circumcision), the Lord spoke to him about progression through a dream.
In Acts chapter 10, a tablecloth came down from heaven for a feast of “all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things and birds of the air.” The voice of God told Peter to “kill and eat.”
Wanting to stay in “Egypt,” where he’d been a slave to dead customs and fierce nationalism, Peter said, “By no means, Lord!” It had never entered Peter’s mind that God could call an “unclean” animal “clean,” much less an uncircumcised Roman or a common bacon-loving Texan, saved. As far as Peter knew, Israel was the only nation God was dealing with.
God, who loved Peter very much, was saying something very different from what he’d heard his entire life.
Peter had to rethink his allegiance – Jewish customs or the Lord’s love for Gentiles? Peter got it. He was able to step into the next level of thinking.
In order for Gentiles to be saved and accepted, Peter had to step up to God’s challenge. You should too.
Grounded in FaithDeclare!God has given me a telescope of wisdom, knowledge, and discernment. He has a new lens for me to see His love for me. I see things differently now because I have my Father’s eyes.

What’s In Your Mind?
Steeped in the WordMarch 13, 2025 – 03/13/2025

13 – Rebellion
If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. James 3:13 NLT
What’s In Your Mind?
In every courtroom drama, the central figure is the judge. He’s the one who determines whether to allow testimony or evidence into the record of a legal case.
Often, the prosecutor wants to throw out part of the witness testimony while the defense attorney argues why the jury should be allowed to consider it. At that point, everyone looks toward the judge, waiting for him to allow or deny the motion.
If you want a mind the Holy Spirit can work with, learn to judge your thoughts. Judgment is not just the ability to discern what’s good and not good in your thought life. Judgment is determining what you will and will not allow your mind to think about.
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. – 1 Corinthians 11:31
Do you have mental boundaries set up by the Holy Spirit concerning the thoughts you entertain? What about the movies and TV shows you watch, the music you listen to, the websites you visit, and the company you keep? Are you acting as judge over them?
If so, you are fast becoming a faithful steward and well on your way to fully serving God in your mind. I have a friend who doesn’t watch horror movies or anything that portrays evil as powerful. Why? She says she refuses to put evil in her head because there is no way to get it out. You know what? She’s right. We need to be very selective when it comes to the thoughts we put in our mind.
What about you? Are you ready to give up futile thinking and entertainment that does not glorify God to have a beautiful, clear, Godly mind? I am!
Grounded in FaithDeclare!I steward my mind and consider the thoughts that come to my mind. I throw out anything that doesn’t align with God’s Word. I have the mind of Christ, and I am in control of which thoughts I entertain.

12 – Perfect Government
I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. Philippians 3:12 NLT
Press for PerfectionWhen we see goodness in the acts of Christians, evil vanishes. Poof! Good truly overcomes evil. It is diminished and downgraded the moment good shows up.
Even as believers, if we don’t see the goodness of God, we faint — we fall out. We live our lives with pastor issues and theological problems that never get solved, and we don’t see righteousness or love in the church.
If we don’t see the goodness of God, we miss out on His face, His heart and His glory. You see, our belief that God is good and that He will do good on our behalf is the supernatural seatbelt that keeps us from falling out or twisting off! Faith and trust are key, especially when we don’t see a lot of goodness firsthand.
If we fail to see goodness, we start to fall into unbelief. We have trouble believing God is good after all, and that is what sin actually is! But he who doubts is condemned…for whatever is not from faith is sin. – Romans 14:23
When we sin by failing to believe God is love and that He is good, we fall short of His glory. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. – Romans 3:23
The problem isn’t that we don’t have enough Bibles, churches, or preachers. What we need is more goodness. Galatians 5:22-26 tells us how to get the proper perspective to show God’s love to the people around us. Be humble and continue to do good for others for the glory of God. We need open displays of God’s selfless, giving heart in business, our families, schools, entertainment, politics, and every arena of life. Like David, I am a hope fanatic who believes God is good and that God does good. You are good, and do good… –Psalm 119:68
Grounded in FaithDeclare!Jesus came and set me free, so I am free in all my deeds. I am free to show goodness everywhere I go. Holy Spirit in me shows me how to do good and cleanses my heart so I stay good from the inside out.

11 – (+) Heroes Rising (-) Disorder
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have so that no one will take away your crown. Revelation 3:11 NLT
Run, Child of God, RunI love the scene in the movie Forrest Gump where the bullies are throwing rocks at young Forrest and Jenny. Forrest has braces on his legs, and Jenny, fearing for his safety, yells, “Run, Forrest! Run!” Forrest takes off, slow and bumbling because of the metal holding his legs. Swinging his scrawny limbs awkwardly, Forrest only makes his escape slower and more cumbersome as he continues to turn his head to see the three little monsters pedaling their bikes. They are gaining on him!
Finally, his efforts break the braces. They fall away and Forrest is free to truly run. It’s interesting to me that from this point on, Forrest Gump never looks back! There’s a message in that for you and me! You see, looking back can be dangerous because it limits God’s power in your present and future. When you look back, you see your failures. You see your tormentors gaining ground. Anxiety mounts.
Let me tell you about anxiety. Anxiety is nothing more than imagining a future without God. Anxiety is all about things that haven’t happened and probably never will. Stop borrowing trouble from the future! Likewise, old hurts, habits, and hangups need to stay in the past. Relationships that tear you away from God’s purpose should remain there, too. Don’t look back the way the children of Israel looked back at Egypt or the way Lot’s wife looked back at Sodom and Gomorrah. They actually longed for the bondage and sin they left behind!
Hear me on this: that’s not you! You are a kingdom thinker. When you look to your past, you look for Jesus working in your life. When you do this, you learn to see Him in your present and future. Did He give you direction when you had none or provide a miracle that changed everything? Did He provide blessings and favor or save you from disaster? He was with you, I promise you that!
Your past is something you should learn from, build upon, and find Jesus in. He’s there. He’s the only reason to look back. Now, run!
Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. – Isaiah 43:18-19
Grounded in FaithDeclare!I am a chain breaker! God says I am mighty for the pulling down of strongholds, so I keep pulling. He has plans to give me hope and a future, and He wants me to prosper. I will continue moving forward in freedom. The Spirit of God is Lord in my life, so I am free!!

Leanna, myself, and our team are constantly on the move—taking the Good News to the nations, rescuing women and children, and standing in the places where giants still roam.
Every mission, every breakthrough, and every soul saved comes with spiritual warfare, and we need YOU—our Battle Cry Tribe—to stand in the gap, covering us with prayers of victory, protection, and supernatural favor.
The Kingdom of darkness trembles when the saints of God lift up a battle cry in unity, covering the frontlines with prayer, power, and prophetic declarations!

Even now, the ax of God’s judgment is poised, ready to sever the roots of the trees. Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit will be chopped down and thrown into the fire. Matthew 3:10 NLT
King Jesus is Most ImpressiveWe believers need to be intentional to not make a big deal out of the devil. I say that having seen darkness and evil that, for lack of a better term, is impressive. Really scary stuff that, if I wasn’t careful, could become toxic to my kingdom advancement.
I have been in the torture chamber under Idi Amin’s palace in Kampala, Uganda. It was a murder factory where over 100,000 people had their lives stolen in unspeakable horror.
Remember, Amin was a Muslim and declared Uganda a Muslim nation despite only six percent of citizens sharing his beliefs. Christians, the vast majority, were at the top of his list for torture and execution — really demonically creative ways to terrorize people.
I know from firsthand accounts what happened to my friends in Mexico who survived being kidnapped by the cartels. I know what happened to their kids, and I will not write about it. I have been to the torture chambers of Pablo Escobar, the drug kingpin who brazenly had federal judges murdered.
I have stood on a mass grave of over 250,000 people who were hacked to death by machetes in Rwanda. I walked past padlocked doors in a brothel in India where I knew girls were being held against their will. I bought a 12-year-old for $60 and took her to our orphanage so no one would ever hurt her again.
I know what I’m talking about when I say it’s easy to give in to the compulsion to have a reverence, or horrible wonder, at knowing such evil. It is a huge mistake. It’s a lie from the father of lies himself.
While people’s suffering is a big deal, the evil that causes it is not. In believers like you and me, it should cause us to appreciate goodness. It should cause you to get down and dirty about spreading the Gospel of love and the Savior who defeated death and stormed the gates of hell. Jesus is worth our wonder.
Grounded in FaithDeclare! No matter how much evil is in the world, there is more of God’s grace than evil. He will not let evil go unpunished. It’s His desire that all come into the light of His goodness before that time. Today is the day of salvation. I am on His winning team and stand strong in faith in Him and in courage to complete Kingdom work!
