Last Day of September Paranormal-Scope

I had planned on doing a lot of things in September. Most went undone. What an odd month.

I am not qualified to read either stars or planets. I am intimately linked to the paranormal in the world in many ways. So are you.

The paranormal-scope is for entertainment and is not meant to guide your life.

Aries:
Gremlins make friends for life. They also bite. Beware. You will have the opportunity to make new friends. Be there and smile.

Taurus:
Mermaids sometimes get so excited that their words come out a in jumble like gibberish. Slow down and think before speaking. You want to be understood.

Gemini:
Faeries enjoy painting the forest. (Secret: Who do you think paints all those leaves?} Art can be a great way for you to express yourself. Try it.

Cancer:
Werewolves love decorating their home for the season. It’s time to get your home into the swing of autumn. Some love doing the whole Halloween decor. Have fun with it.

Leo:
Vampires have the greatest gift of gab. They can speak on any subject and be kind and charming with their words. You have the gift too. Just choose words wisely.

Virgo:
Shapeshifters enjoy dancing. Dancing can be an exercise, a party, or a spontaneous expression of joy. Enjoy it.

Libra
Goblins are not people pleasers. You’ve probably noticed. But you can make everyone feel good about themselves. I love that sweater that you’re wearing.

Scorpio:
Unicorns when planning know that keeping a secret about the plan is best. You don’t want people taking your plan apart before you’ve finished figuring out details.

Sagittarius:
Sirens are experts at networking. You have the chance of two benefits: advancing your career or making some new friends.

Capricorn:
Sprites run at lightspeed. Slow down and upgrade your image instead. Go out and meet people. Get together with old friends. They might be helpful in envisioning your upgrade.

Aquarius:
Pixies enjoy learning. Take a course or study a subject. Let knowledge flow through you just for fun.

Pisces:
Elves seldom travel beyond their forest. But you are limitless in your adventures. Read books on places you want to explore. Plan a vacation or a day trip.

Assorted Sundries on Sunday By Susan Hanniford Crowley

Autumn leaves in St. James’ Park

Assorted sundries are an appreciation of all the little things that happen to us. They may be unrelated to each other but still holds a place in our heart, teaches us something, or is something we admire. Here’s my assorted list of sundries for today.

I woke up this morning to find a poem from a friend on my phone. It was exquisite. It was a totally wonderful thing to wake up to. I have discovered that a china set doesn’t have to match to be gorgeous. Growing up, someone must have taught me that plates and cups always have to match. But no! They don’t. Each place setting can be different. It’s like having a garden with a variety of flowers. You can be shy inside, but there are times in our lives when we need to meet new people. Meeting new people can be the best. I have some of my signed books in The Golden Owl in New London, CT. Here’s their website: https://goldenowl.shop/The movie ‘Practical Magic’ is going to have a sequel. I can’t wait. I am cancer free for five years now, but because of the nature of the cancer, I still take a chemo pill. My doctors would rather be on the side of caution and I agree with them. I am excited to be writing my next dragon book. I wrote the first draft and in reading it realized there were tons of errors, so I read aloud each page and fix it. I have a ten times edit rule for myself, as I want my editor to only see my best. My second dragon book will be out in 2025. I am also working on the next book in my vampire series, Arnhem Knights of New York. It’s going to be set in Manhattan, Iceland, and Romania.I am planning a Halloween party for my grandchildren. The leaves are falling from the trees before the whole tree changes. In my yard, I have yellow leaves from the birch tree on the ground but the rest of the tree is green. Interestingly strange.

Those are my assorted sundries for today. Sometimes things get in the way of my writing my blog on Saturday, so Sunday is my go-to day! It takes the pressure off me when there is just so much in life to enjoy and so much that we are responsible for.

The weather and world is ever changing. Be safe. Keep those you love close.

WereCats love autumn. It brings out their inner kitten. Plan a day trip just to enjoy the scenery.

Cancer:
WereCats know not to let your brain spin out-of-control. Don’t fret over the things you cannot change. Like a WereCat, enjoy watching the motion but don’t get caught up in it.

Leo:
WereCats love toys. Have you bought yourself a new toy lately? Include your pet WereCat if your shopping spree.

Virgo:
WereCats take time and ponder all the angles before making life changing decisions. Do the same.

Libra
WereCats are all for letting go of the past. Just around the corner could be a new friend. Perhaps even a forever home.

Scorpio:
WereCats embrace happy thoughts. That’s why they chase bubbles and butterflies. Have you considered blowing bubbles in the park or off your deck?

Sagittarius:
WereCats love networking with other WereCats! It’s a real purr! Get together with friends or work colleagues.

Capricorn:
WereCats prefer to follow the overgrown path. It is their joy to make new discoveries on their own. Plan a day trip for yourself or with a friend.

Aquarius:
WereCats don’t worry about budgets but we do! Look to see where you can cut expenses. Even if it’s small cuts, it adds up.

Pisces:
WereCats are devoted bird watchers. Even if there is glass between them and the taunting birds, they love the feathered ones behaving badly. They are smart enough to stay out of gossip and taunts. It’s not worth their or your effort.

Life Tools: Loving Autumn Part 2 By Susan Hanniford Crowley

Brilliant Autumn Tree Like a flame

The Life Tools today continue on ‘Loving Autumn.’ While in parts of the world this is a beautiful season, it can also be a very stressful season with expectations. I am writing from my perspective in North America.

There are the usual holidays coming up with feasting and gift giving. In my family there are also a number of birthdays.

So many businesses depend on this season as well as the Winter holidays for a boost of profits. Their workers are pressured to make those sales. Again we have stress.

How to Relieve Stress

A nice bath or shower if you prefer. Don’t make it a rush. Sleep in on days off if you can.Reading a book.Order take-out or delivery If you have kids, help them with homework on Friday night so they can have to weekend to enjoy. Binge watch your favorite TV show or movieDo something that you want to do that makes you feel sereneHave a cup of tea or another favorite beveragePlay with your pet if you have one

All of the above are ways of doing things you enjoy that relieves your stress of the day. If you are in the areas where the foliage changes, take a walk and enjoy it. Take care of yourself so you can enjoy the Autumn more and the holidays too.

Whatever you choose, be save, and keep those you love safe.

Lunar Eclipse Paranormal-Scope

Tomorrow night will be quite exciting for those of us that love watching lunar eclipses even if it’s partial. I will be wearing my usual blanket over my clothes and drinking how cocoa. Not only will it be a blue supermoon, but also a blood moon, and a harvest moon in addition to having a partial eclipse. I want to give you as much details as possible. Life Tools: Loving Autumn Part 1 By Susan Hanniford Crowley

My new photo ad for the Young Supernaturals of New York series. I love making the little ads for the books on Canva. The books are on Amazon!

The Life Tools today focuses on loving Autumn. For me, it’s the scent in the air that builds my excitement. There are a lot of country fairs in Connecticut and they are always fun. The heat has eased up and people just want to get out.

Places to go:
1. Bookstores especially the independent stores that feature local authors. My go-to store is The Golden Owl in New London, CT. https://goldenowl.shop/ Check out their website. They have more than books and are just a comfortable happy place to be. I also have some of my signed books there.

2. Country Fairs range in size from small town fairs to city carnivals to the Big E (which is the Eastern States Exposition) https://www.thebige.com/ My happy place is with the small fairs including Renaissance Fairs. https://ctfaire.com/ I just love a good joust.

3. The beach in off-season and stopping for a fish and chips dinner.

4. Some people really enjoy the two casinos in the area.

5. Connecticut has several sports venues.

6. We have concerts venues too.

7. I’m sure I’m missing something. Please, add in the comments, if you think of something I’ve missed.

Believe it not, these are all life tools. Getting out and moving and exploring is healthy for mind and body. (My doctor just told me to walk more. Ha ha.) You might find something fun that you want to do every year and make it your tradition!

Back in School Paranormal-Scope

While I’m not back in school, many are. If you are, enjoy and learn. If you aren’t, enjoy the autumn!

I am not qualified to read either stars or planets. I am intimately linked to the paranormal in the world in many ways. So are you.

Aries:
Gremlins sometimes get too excited or upset. Don’t let those feeling drag you down. Breathe. Be calm and think of your happy place.

Taurus:
Mermaids are excellent swimmers because of balance. They know when not to dive deeper. A happy home and work life requires balance too.

Gemini:
When faeries have financial problems they have no problem asking their elders. If you find yourself in a hole you can ask for help. If all they offer is advice, listen.

Cancer:
Werewolves don’t always have the words to say what they’re thinking. Give yourself time to breathe and gather your thoughts. Be clear not only to yourself but others.

Leo:
Vampires have lived so long that you’d think they’d have a lot of friends. Sadly, not really true. Gather a few close friends for an event or dinner.

Virgo:
Shapeshifters even though adaptable in my situations, often don’t have faith in themselves. Believe in yourself and others will too.

Libra
Goblins are great at their jobs as long as they don’t overthink everything. Map out your steps and do it.

Scorpio:
Unicorns love day trips or special weekend trips. Plan one before the weather changes again.

Sagittarius:
Sirens are great at networking. Be sure to get new business cards made. Tis the season.

Capricorn:
Sprites are great friends. Relationships are key this week. Be a great listener to others at work and in your social friend/family circle.

Aquarius:
Pixies are so dear to the loved ones because of the time spent together and the care they take with them. Caring for others is a unique gift. Share it.

Pisces:
Elves go out to meet new friends often. If they are fortunate, they meet those they will keep forever. Have an open heart and be willing to talk to others. Get to know new people and take it slow.

Life Tools: Pets By Susan Hanniford Crowley

The Life Tools for today is complicated. I am not kidding you. It’s all about love and responsibility. Having pets means having the responsibility for a life. Love is a two way street. They will love you and they expect love back. That’s what makes it so heartbreaking when a pet is abused or abandoned. Above are my fierce three!

I am only going to talk about cats and dogs because that is most of my experience.
A lot of people have cats, dogs, or both because they are usually huggable. Human beings often need hugs.

When you have a pet you want to have the following:
1. Appropriate food for them
2. A full dish of water always – If the water in your area is not good and you drink bottled water, then you will need to provide pure bottled water for them too.
3. A clean and warm sleeping area
4. Give them exercise – If you can’t walk your dog yourself when they need it, you might have to hire a dog walker.
5. Waste removal – either a litter box or walks
6. Toys – Note: Toys are sometimes good for individual or group play. Some toys are for human interaction too. Play with your pet. Care for your pet with love.
7. Medical care when they need it. There are pet insurances now, but it is cheaper if they are a baby.
8. Pet Carrier is used for a safe transport in a car.

One of the urgent matters before becoming a pet owner is that you can afford the expense of having a pet. See the list above.

Know also that pet ownership involves every day care. If you’re going to be away and can’t take your pet with you, you may need to get a pet sitter.

When adopting a pet taken in consideration:
1. Can you have a pet where you live? Some apartments don’t permit them.
2. If you pet needs everyday walking, are you near an area where you can do that safely?

Labor Day Paranormal-Scope

On Labor Day in the USA, we recognize the contributions of the workers in our country. Usually people have the day off and celebrate it with barbecues, small parties, or just relax.

I am not qualified to read either stars or planets. I am intimately linked to the paranormal in the world in many ways. So are you.

The paranormal-scope is for entertainment and is not meant to guide your life.

Aries:
Gremlins love to decorate their homes for the Fall season. It doesn’t have to be big just comfortable. Consider doing this too.

Taurus:
Mermaids are often creative designing coral reefs and rearranging sunken vessels. You might consider painting, singing, joining a club or local activity.

Gemini:
Faeries save their crystals for the future, though they will not disclose what their crystals can do. This is a great time to add to your savings and review your investments.

Cancer:
Werewolves have the energy to get a lot done now. This can work for you too. Make a list and get going! You’ll feel great when you’re done.

Leo:
Vampires make time to withdraw and recharge. Just because so many people are busy this time of year, doesn’t mean you can’t schedule self-care time. You are worth it.

Virgo:
Shapeshifters are open to making new friends and working in community groups. Be open to the possibilities. Volunteering can lead to a new friendship.

Libra
Goblins usually work hard to get to the top of the heap but make enemies in the process. Try not to make enemies on your road to success. Another way of saying it is not to burn bridges.

Scorpio:
Unicorns are open to learning. They find it expands their opportunities. You may find this too.

Sagittarius:
Sirens write down their goals and tackle one at a time. This may help you achieve more.

Capricorn:
Sprites slow down to meet new friends. They are great listeners and learn a lot by expanding their social circle. Consider opening your social circle.

Aquarius:
Pixies enjoy helping those they love and learning new things. Those close to you might hold a key to being more productive and happy.

Pisces:
Elves have fun during the fall. They give and go to parties and social functions. Accept some social invitations. You can also plan a party.

Life Tools: How A List Can Make You Feel Better By Susan Hanniford Crowley

The Life Tools for today is simple and easy–create a gratitude list! The nice thing about this list is you can keep it private or put it up on your bulletin board where you can see it. You can add to it. You can use an overall term for good stuff or people or be specific.

If you are going through a hard time, a gratitude list can make you feel better emotionally.

Here is my example. I am grateful for: (not in order of importance)

God My family – they are awesome My husband – he really helped to pull me through cancerMy friends are amazing My churchWriting. I love writing my fantasy romance books so much. My readers. I am so happy when one of them emails me or sees me at a convention and tells me how one of my books has helped them or how much fun they have reading them.My childrenMy son-in-lawMy grandchildrenMy catMy home – I know how fortunate I am to have a home.My health – I recently celebrated being cancer-free for 5 years.My brain – I love getting so many ideas and being creativeBeing alive

Well that’s my list so far. Of course, it can be added to. Try making a gratitude list for yourself.

Whenever things were bad, I make a list and saw that my life wasn’t as bad as I thought. I still had things to be grateful for.

Now even when things are good, I make the list, and it just makes me smile all day.

I am grateful.
