Crystalline Snow Paranormal-Scope

Everything shiny is not necessarily real.

I am not qualified to read either stars or planets. I am intimately linked to the paranormal in the world in many ways. So are you.

The paranormal-scope is for entertainment and is not meant to guide your life.

Aries:
Gremlins are lonely and sad now. All their friends are busy. What to do? Make new friends somewhere socially safe like your church or while volunteering at the soup kitchen.

Taurus:
Mermaids fear the depths of the ocean where monsters live. Make where you live comfy and cozy.

Gemini:
Faeries don’t usually think of the future. This is the time for you to build a future. Start with a new savings account.

Cancer:
Werewolves are going on a quest for spiritual enlightenment. This is something you may want to do too.

Leo:
Vampires know the experience of excitement and revelry only to have it fall into nothing fun for a while. Get to know a friend better. Go out for lunch or explore a tourist attraction you’ve never seen.

Virgo:
Shapeshifters know that your life is more than your job. Start a hobby and go to a club or event based on that hobby. You will gain friends in addition to something fun to do.

Libra
Goblins are making plans for their careers. When one door shuts, another opens. Don’t be afraid to investigate some new things you may not have thought of.

Scorpio:
Unicorns love adventure and travel. Plan a wonderful trip for yourself. If needed, save up for it.

Sagittarius:
Sirens are repairing places in their home destroyed or damaged by storm tides. Survey your home and find what needs fixing. You may need some new appliances too.

Capricorn:
Sprites have the gift of understanding the emotions that can be hidden by words that don’t express them. You do too. Look at the eyes, face, and body language to understand how others are.

Aquarius:
Pixies don’t neglect their health. Keep all your medical and wellness appointments. You want to be at your best.

Pisces:
Elves enjoy life through art. In dark times, they stand by friends in pain. Do the same.

Life Tools: When I Fell on the Ice By Susan Hanniford Crowley

Number One Life Tool: Don’t Go Out in the Storm!

Yesterday, I fell.

I went out in the middle of the snow and sleet storm to put a bag of recyclables in the recycle bin near the street. About four feet from my garage, I slipped on the ice under the snow. There wasn’t ice there earlier. It was a backward fall. My feet went up and bam! I hit the ice with my back and heard a thunk when my head hit too.

I have theater training in falls, so I know to curl up as a small ball and tuck in my head so as little of my body gets hurt as possible. I’ve done that in the past.

This time I didn’t.

I had a flashlight and my phone with me, so I called my husband. “I fell. Help!” I didn’t have my gloves on and didn’t see where the bag of recyclables went.

My brain wasn’t seeing double and I could reason. My husband and I are in the more mature time of life. When he tried to pick me up, I immediately thought he could fall too as I wasn’t able to lift myself. I asked him to get a folding chair from the garage, which he did.

I hurt all over but I could move everything. I reasoned that I didn’t break anything. I rolled on one side and was able to almost sit up on one side. Using the opened-up chair, I leaned my torso onto the seat and was able to get up on both knees. From there I could stand.

Carefully, we both got back to the house. When I got inside, I needed ice on my head and my back.

Life Tool Two: Calm Yourself, and Use Your Brain!

If you find yourself in a potentially life-threatening situation, remain calm. Use what you have with you. I had a flashlight and a phone. Call for help!

Life Tool Three: Wear Gloves in Winter!

My hands were freezing as I was doing all of the above in below-freezing temperatures with a snow and sleet storm happening around me. I had gloves! A new pair of gloves but I didn’t have them on. When I was flat on my back, I was fumbling. I found my phone and flashlight and couldn’t manage to get my gloves out of my pocket so I gave up on that.

As soon as I got in the garage, I put my gloves on even though my fingers were cold and wet.

Life Tool Four: Be Grateful to the Person Who Rescues You!

I am very grateful to my husband who came out to rescue me.

Here are the Life Tools for today! I am waiting until the storm is over and leaving stuff in the garage until I can get to the bins safely. There are some things you can put aside until the storm is over. We are expecting a warm rain this afternoon to wash away the ice.

Life Tools & Writing Tools: Crunch Time for Valentines and more!

All of us are aware of Crunch Time. I have a lot of projects in various stages of almost done, but one is under deadline. For me, that’s proofing the 2nd book in the Lady Fallon’s Dragons Series.

Crunch Time seems to be part of every holiday that involves gift-giving! You don’t have to be locked into chocolate and flowers for St. Valentine’s Day. What does the person really love? Find out what they love in addition to you. If they are an artist who uses acrylic paints, go to an art store and get those paints. I’m not against looking at a person’s wish list, but if you have run out of time, then you need to shop local.

What I’m suggesting is to be unique. I like gummy bears. My husband likes chocolates but only a certain brand. I know one young woman who loves daisies. She had daisies in her wedding bouquet.

All I’m saying is to put some thought into your gift. Your person just might like chocolates and flowers. Do that then, and put my ideas away for another gift-giving time.

Days of Love Paranormal-Scope

Friday is St. Valentine’s Day. If you normally get together with your loved ones, here is a challenge to do something special on Friday!

Life Tools: When A Storm Comes By Susan Hanniford Crowley

I’m not an expert. I’m going to give you some tips of what I do. Then I’m going to give you some helpful links.

Life Tools for Storms:

1. Charge all devices. Phones first, please.
2. Make sure you have your heat source prepared. Also if possible an alternate form. I use oil heat but also wood as a 2nd form.
3. Make a run to the supermarket for non-perishable food, staples, and snacks that can hold you over for several days at least. Find out from your local weather forecast. How much you buy depends on the forecast. Buy water!
4. Make sure you have everyone’s medicine and emergency medical supplies.
5. Extra batteries for flashlights and radios.
6. Warm clothes worn in layers including hats, coats, scarves, and gloves.
7. Plan on staying home.
8. Lots of blankets
9. Fill your bathtub so water can be used for flushing toilets.
10. Get books and coloring books for family entertainment.

The Groundhog Said Paranormal-Scope

Yesterday was Groundhog Day in the USA. In Pennsylvania, Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his little home and saw his shadow which meant 6 more weeks of winter. Oh, well. Sometimes the groundhog is wrong.

Gremlins make their time count especially when it comes to February. Consider getting a new hairdo or outfit. A makeover for the body is good for morale.

Mermaids use the short days of February to tie up loose ends. Make a list of what you need to get done.

Gemini:
Faeries take part in helping their community. They even help humans sometimes. Consider volunteering.

Cancer:
Werewolves use the winter for relaxing. You can do the same. Whether you take extra naps, have a spa day, or go away for a weekend, relax.

Leo:
Vampires use St. Valentine’s Day to socialize. You can too. New friends are waiting to meet you.

Virgo:
Shapeshifters find learning everything they can helps in their career. Do the same.

Libra
Goblins love training and learning new things. Take a course, collaborate with co-workers, or go to an event with friends. Expand your world with knowledge.

Scorpio:
Unicorns work with others to get more done. Consider it.

Sagittarius:
Sirens enjoy expressing their creativity with sea glass and driftwood. Find your own art of self-expression.

Capricorn:
Sprites love running. You might choose a different form of physical exercise. Always consult with your physician first.

Aquarius:
Pixies have a lot of energy and use it to do things they love. Do the same.

Pisces:
Elves know that home is where the heart is. Entertain family/friends with a pot luck in your home. Do a little decorating with a few decor pieces.

Life Tools: We Saw Planets! By Susan Hanniford Crowley

As you know, I have been trying to see astronomical events without success due to the weather. After sunset on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, I was going out to open the door for my oldest daughter. I looked at the sky and yelled, I see planets!”

My daughter was getting out of her car and looking in the southern direction I was pointing. “It looks like a two or more together.” They twinkled like a big diamond ring in the sky. I had left my phone inside, so I asked her to click on her SkyView Lite. I wanted to know what the planets were.

On this app, it also shows the constellation. In Aquarius, we were looking at Saturn, Mars, and Neptune. After that, I checked out the sky more thoroughly. There were still some clouds, but directly over my head, I saw another twinkler.

She held up her phone and got this:

I was excited! In the constellation of Taurus, we saw Jupiter and the blue Uranus. I need to get a telescope to see them as planets and not just a very twinkling large star.

Life Tools:
1. Don’t give up on a dream!
2. Use the tools available. In our case, it was SkyView Lite app.
3. Don’t limit your view to find something you want. Look in all directions.

Now I can happily go back to proofing my 2nd dragon book.

Look out for very twinkling stars, they might be planets instead. Be safe. Keep your loved ones close.

Mozart’s Birthday Paranormal-Scope

Today is Mozart’s Birthday. Putting on some dancing or great listening music is appropriate, and having a birthday cake for dessert. This week is a mix of great and not-so-great. Be open to the flow.

Gremlins know how to get the job done with networking to move up at work and make new friends. It’s time for you to socialize. Bring business cards.

Taurus:
Mermaids love making plans and visiting with an elder Mermaid to get their insights, makes it all that much better. Set some goals and confer with elders you trust.

Gemini:
Faeries enjoy learning. Consider taking a course, learning a musical instrument, or visiting a historical site. Avoid the cobwebs of the brain.

Cancer:
Werewolves don’t like to mask their true self. But when the music is playing and the moon shines bright their true selves emerge. Go out and find your people.

Leo:
Vampires come out of hiding to support the ones they love. Do the same.

Virgo:
Shapeshifters care about people and avoid money worshippers. They know eventually things end up badly for the greedy. Watch your money and donate only to charities that you’ve checked out.

Libra
Goblins are very creative. Find your creative happy spot. It may be painting or singing in a choir or making things in clay. The keyword for you is happy.

Scorpio:
Unicorns find their strength in older members of their family and old trustworthy friends. If you have a problem, share it with them and get their advice.

Sagittarius:
Sirens are shopping for new things. Throw out the holey rags you’ve been keeping for what? Throw them out and buy new stuff.

Sprites take a moment to breathe before making a big purchase. They check it out as well as its warranty. Don’t let anyone rush you into buying before you’re ready.

The Chinese New Year commences on Jan. 29, 2025, this year. It is the year of the Wood Snake. It is appropriate to clean your house now to remove dust and bad luck during this event. On January 25 we had a Planetary Alignment on January 25, 2025. The planets involved are Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and Mercury. This celestial event will be visible. You will see it better if you have a telescope or binoculars. Some planets are already becoming visible. Due to cloud cover, I didn’t see it. I did use an app for my iPad called SkyView Lite. I did see using the app Mars and Jupiter. Does that count?

I was proofing my 2nd dragon novel until I became a constant kitten sitter. My two kittens got spayed and the plastic collars got in their way of moving around the house. They ran into stuff and we ended up holding them and orchestrating ways they could eat. We tried surgical onesies but they were too small. My oldest daughter found these donut collars which look like donuts. They are happy with them and it also prevents them from licking and biting their stitches. We have a winner!

Now I’m back to proofing the book. I’m also writing another Arnhem Knights in New York novel in my dream journal.
