The Last Monday in August Paranormal-Scope

I was just saying what a beautiful sunny day it is. Now it’s getting dark with storm clouds. If there’s one thing we can count on is that things always change.

I am not qualified to read either stars or planets. I am intimately linked to the paranormal in the world in many ways. So are you.

The paranormal-scope is for entertainment and is not meant to guide your life.

Aries:
Gremlins are not careful with words. They just blurt everything out. Be mindful that people are sensitive right now and might say things they don’t mean.

Taurus:
Mermaids sing to those they love. If we happen to hear it too, we are the lucky ones. Fill your world with the music you love.

Gemini:
Faeries often collaborate with others. Brainstorming a problem with others may give you a choice of solutions.

Cancer:
Werewolves can sense it in the wind. It’s time to make their homes cozy and invite the ones they love over. Do the same.

Leo:
Vampires are ready to travel at the drop of a hat. They need to be that way. Consider a late summer weekend getaway.

Virgo:
Shapeshifters need comfort in their lives both in their homes and with those close to them. Spend some time with someone special. Make something to share for a group meal.

Libra
Goblins always return to their first home to get a sense of self and how far they have come. Find out about your early days and cherish the people you discover along the way.

Scorpio:
Unicorns prefer to stay grounded and not get lost in the fantasy. You will meet new people. Invest the time to know the real person.

Sagittarius:
Sirens grow through their adventures. Go on an adventure of your own. Perhaps take a day trip or sign up for a course.

Perseid Meteor Shower Paranormal-Scope

Some vampires are taking a final summer day trip. Actually it might be a night trip for them. They love red eyes. Consider a short getaway.

Life Tools: Watch the Perseid Meteor Shower By Susan Hanniford Crowley

Life Tools are anything that is relaxing, comforting, makes life easier, helps with survival tips in the event of storms, gives important self-care information, or makes you happy. Watching a meteor shower always makes me feel grateful, intrigued by how they got here, and happy. This weekend begins the Perseid Meteor Showers.

I live in the woods, so I go out on my deck with a blanket and hot cocoa to watch. It’s a family tradition in my home.

Here’s the info: Though this meteor shower is visible from the end of July through August. August 11 and 12 are supposed to be the peak times. I am viewing from North America and one site said that weather permitting, I may be able to see 50 meteors an hour.

As you also know we are in the hurricane zone, right now being a pause before the next one, so I’m putting down a website for you to see the livestream of the meteor shower. I am also aware that some people may not be able to escape city lights which makes viewing hard. This is the summer to de-stress, relax, like yourself, and take care of yourself. You might be happy watching a meteor shower or listening to music or watching a favorite show. It’s individual for each person. Self-care is vital.

August Rains Paranormal-Scope

To some places, not only does August bring rain, it also brings hurricanes. If you are in the hurricane zone, please, be safe.

Gemini:
Faeries are collecting flowers while they may. Consider bringing some flowers or plants home.

Cancer:
Werewolves enjoy going to yard sales. They are very sentimental. It could be fun just to go and browse.

Leo:
Some vampires have lived history. What is your favorite time in history? Read up on it or watch the History Channel.

Virgo:
Shapeshifters like to catch-up on their email, and find out what friends/family are up to. For a real change, send out some letters.

Libra
Goblins are counting their money saving up for a big expense. Do the same.

Scorpio:
Unicorns were not in Greek mythology but instead in accounts of Natural History. Look up something you want to know about and widen your knowledge.

Sagittarius:
Sirens can deceive with their voices. Beware people you have that quality too.

Capricorn:
Sprites can be tricky. Things are not always what they seem. Get more information before making important decisions.

Aquarius:
Pixies may be small but they can do a lot. When making new friends, give it time so you truly get to know the person. Appearances can be deceiving and going with that, could deny you a wonderful friend.

Pisces:
Elves feel Autumn in the air. They are hurrying through their recordkeeping to have time for outside walks. Enjoy the season.

The focus is a love story between two very different people whose love is tested throughout the terrors of war. Can you ever forget the person you loved and lost? What would you do to find them again?

The main character Vampire Prince Răzvan has prophetic dreams and is in a hurry to meet with the King of Romania. Răzvan is also the son of Vampire King Max of New York. He hopes to stop Romania’s entrance into the war. The weather is in the way and the young Roma woman that captures his heart with her gaze.

Snowflakes danced and glowed with twilight in the deep forest, where stark dark trees clawed the diminishing light. Three riders continued against the growing storm. Răzvan barely noticed the ice diadems swirling, appearing to pause midair around him then disappear, as if time stood still in that moment.

Dragă (darling). The word sang to him. On a mission with Toff and Zebrok, why did he choose this road? Why did he insist on continuing into the night? Dragă. Dragă mea (My darling)! Such an odd thing to be thinking now with his mission to see the king so vital.

“My Prince, perhaps we should return to the last village and stay there. The snow will soon be too deep for our mounts.”

Răzvan patted his stallion. “He will bear it. So shall we. Our refuge is close by.” How did he know that? Thousands of times he had traveled this road and knew nothing was close by. “Besides the snow is easing now.” A snowflake crown settled on his brow, and he brushed it off.

They continued on the old road and turned with the bend toward the Carpathian Mountains. Răzvan thought he saw a shadow moving briskly behind the trees, a twinkle of silver light and then it was gone. Was it magic? No. The slightest touch of a feeling so immense drew him and urged him on. 

Near the road but under the cover of trees were tents and wagons.

“Gypsies,” Toff muttered under his breath.

“They are the Roma people, and I expect you to show them the same respect you would to anyone else.”

“Yes, my Prince.” Răzvan slid carefully off his stead and taking the reins led the way to the encampment. He could hear the grumbling thoughts of his companions in his head, but that didn’t matter.

The blazing fire invited and urged him closer. Men of the camp came out of their tents and approached him. Women and children hid behind them, their clothes layers of mismatched rags, colors faded by time.

“Good people, could three travelers buy a meal and a place to sleep for the night?”

The men grouped together and talked among themselves.

“What brings you on this road when the snow falls and the sun is low in the mountains?”

“A mission for the king. I am Răzvan Forţă. These are my friends Toff and Zebrok.”

They huddled together, eyeing Răzvan and his men with suspicion. “We are a free people and have broken no laws.”

“You are not in any kind of trouble. We will pay you for the food and lodging. At sunrise we will leave.”

The leader walked up to the prince. “You are welcome. Please, come this way.” He led the three into a tent that was open on one side to allow a fire pit, and it looked like the entire community followed.

Her eyes were ghostlike, dark rimmed but with a pale blue light in them, beautiful beyond words. She peered out at him from behind the other women. She wore a silver comb in her dark hair. It was hard to keep focused and listen to the leader who offered them seats on barrels at a makeshift table. She was the shadow he saw racing through the woods at twilight. Hers was the face he could gaze on endlessly.

Răzvan saw several men leave to get wood. The young woman ran off too. Why did the word “Dragă” come to him earlier as he was deciding which road to take? Did she lead him here?

The Last Days of July Paranormal-Scope

With the rainy days upon us, we are getting ready for August and Back to School Sales.

I am not qualified to read either stars or planets. I am intimately linked to the paranormal in the world in many ways. So are you.

The paranormal-scope is for entertainment and is not meant to guide your life.

Aries:
Gremlins do know how to chill after all. Art is their passion. They love throwing pots. Okay, they do mean to break them. Consider trying out an art you would enjoy.

Taurus:
Mermaids have been attending beachside barbecues. They crash and get away with tasty edibles. Plan a friends/family get-together.

Gemini:
Faeries are not delicate with their words or meaning. Be careful with your choice of words. People are touchy this week.

Cancer:
Werewolves love to have fun but they are careful with their money. Review your budget. You have some big plans/expenditures coming up.

Leo:
Vampires get bored easily. They are constantly reinventing themselves and their lairs. Upgrades don’t have to be a big expense. Go to yard sales.

Virgo:
Shapeshifters are always trying to be the best they can. If your self-esteem is lagging, try a course in something you love. Talk to others on the topic over coffee or ice cream. Make friends.

Libra
Goblins constantly worry. Don’t get stuck in that trap. Try yoga and meditation. Learn a new self-reflection technique.

Scorpio:
Unicorns love to run, but it’s those moments when they stop to smell the flowers that matters the most. Find those moments for yourself.

Sagittarius:
Sirens can tell when the days of summer are fleeting. Go out and have one more trip or plan one more barbecue.

Capricorn:
Sprites love history and learning about different countries. Take a course or learn another language. Expand your world.

Aquarius:
Pixies are good with change. They put a ton of pixie dust over it so they won’t notice the difference. Smile. The good thing about change is that it always changes.

Pisces:
Elves can feel when autumn is on its way. It’s time to make new friends. That’s a good idea for you too.

Life Tools: Have Some Fun By Susan Hanniford Crowley

While we are finally having good weather, go out and enjoy it. Remember to always bring water with you. It is still hot. When you’ve over done it, take a break. Wear sunblock.

*In some areas, there are COVID warnings. Be sure to wear your mask. You might want to avoid crowds.

Where I live, there are lots of country fairs going on. I love the fair. Fun rides, food I don’t usually eat, and things to buy. I like to splurge on the grandkids when I can.

In this work world we live in, it’s important that you make time to play. Even adults need to laugh and fun. We work far to hard. Here are some opportunities for you to explore.

Go to a country fair or carnival. Enjoy a ride. Play some arcade games. Visit a farmer’s market. Go to a beach but not if’s it’s scorching. Remember to wear you sunblock.

If it’s scorching out, don’t get hurt by your enthusiasm to have fun!
Go to a book store. (The Golden Owl has books and curiosities and signed books by me. https://goldenowl.shop/)Go to the movies. Go to museums. Science museums are my favorites. Go to an inside arcade. Go to an ice cream store!

I live in a summer tourist area, so I tend to avoid the crowds that go to events on weekends. I find week days less crowded and personally more enjoyable.

Whatever you choose to do, stay cool this summer. Keep those you love close.
