Who doesn't enjoy a celebration? Amid many celebrations, one day, there will be a lavish feast, among believers, called "the wedding supper of the Lamb" (Revelation 19:9), for the One "who takes away the sin of the world" (John 1:29). This will be an unforgettable celebration that you won't want to miss. #RSVP & #savethedate

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
When was the last time you were still and quiet? If so, what did you hear? The hustle and bustle of daily life has a tendency to create a lot of white noise and when it does we are unable to think clearly and make sound decisions. When this happens, Psalm encourages us to "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him" (37:7). It is when we do so that we can hear him speak to us and keep us safe, grounded, and faithful amongst those scheming and plotting against us (see 37:1-7). #pause #listen & #play

Certain things in life are worth the wait. Simeon thought so too. Righteous and devout, he waited patiently, before his death, to see the Messiah, the One sent to provide hope, salvation, and comfort for all people (see Luke 2:25, 26, 28-32). If willing to wait, Isaiah 40:31 says "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." #patience #perseverance & #priorities

How aware are you of your surroundings? In order to see the big picture, Colossians encourages us to "Set our [your] minds on things above, not on earthly things" (3:2), because when our eyes are wide open, we develop a keener sense of our surroundings, especially spiritually. #takeitallin

When the storms roll in, how do you react? Even though it may be impossible to see, at times, John encourages us to "Believe in the light," (12:36), and remain faithful and continue to serve (12:26), because God will lead and light the way for us. #trust #believe & #persevere

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
When life takes us to our knees, leaves us heartbroken, and robs us of everything, find strength in the Lord, just as David did (see 1 Samuel 30:6). God helped David and "recovered everything that was taken....Nothing was missing: young or old, boy or girl, plunder or anything else they had taken. David brought everything back" (30:18-19). By just asking, He too will be there to help us face and fight those who try to attack and rob us. #fightlikeawarrior

What kind of reputation have you built for yourself; and how do you want to be received and remembered? Ephesians says that we can either become a light, in the Lord, and shine it upon others (see 5:8), or live in the dark and perform "Fruitless deeds of darkness" (5:3-4, 11). #wantalifeworthyofliving #leaveyourmark & #shineon

In need of a hand? Myself, as well as others, such as Harriet Tubman and Moses, have needed a helping hand. Such help has come from a man who offers to take hold of our right hand and tells to us to not fear because He will help us (see Isaiah 41:13). #ourrighthandman #copilot & #guide

How vested are you in your family's future? If vested, besides money, what may that be? Deuteronomy 11:19 encourages us to to invest, daily, in our faith, through Scripture, by teaching and sharing His word with others, especially our own children. In doing so, our spiritual investment will pay dividends for all eternity. #investinyourfamilysfuture

How many times have you been told to be patient? We've all been there, as has Habakkuk. The "grappler" also asked a very similar question. He asked "How long, Lord, must I call for help, but you don't listen?" (Habakkuk 1:2). God's response to us is "Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay" (2:3). #remainsteadfast & #faithful
