Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
Living in fear can cause people to react irrationally or not share their talents with the rest of the world because they fear rejection or failure. It is when we ask ourselves two questions that Christ also asked his disciples. The first question is " Why are you so afraid?"; and the second question is "Do you still have no faith?" (Mark 4:40). As you face your fears, He will be there to help guide you. #livewithoutfear & #livebyfaith

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
Not too long ago, I wrote that we each have a story to tell. What I didn't share with you is that we are also a significant part of someone else's story, and the reason why we are all here to be able to tell our stories. From the very beginning of His story, he created mankind in his own image (see Genesis 1:27), and was very pleased for having done so (see 1:28, 31). #TheBible & #Us

We are reminded, in Ezekiel, how important it is to be able to breathe; and it is because of a man who gives us this privilege, by turning dry bones in to life (see 37: 8 & 10). Without breath, we do not exist. Now, with each breath, consider praising the Lord for this life-sustaining blessing (see Psalm 150:6). #thebreathoflife

What does it mean when you are asked to give out of your wealth? Mark, 12:41 & 43, impresses upon us the importance of giving. He identifies those who gave out of their wealth; and the one that gave the most, "out of her poverty, put in everything-all she had to live on" (12:44). As you consider giving, remember nothing you give is ever too small. #givewhatyoucan

In order to become good or even great at something, we must practice. In Phillippians, Paul too mentions the importance of practice. He says whether it be through reconciliation, joy, gentleness, prayer, or focus, (4:4-9), we must practice in order to reap the fruits of our labor; and when we chose to practice, God will work in us "to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose," (2:13), but to also provide us with what we need (4:19). #therearenosubstitutesorshortcuts #youreapwhatyousow

As the snow falls and rain pours down, instead of getting mad or frustrated, consider taking the opportunity to slow down, for a brief moment, in order to enjoy His work and your life (see Job 37:5-7). #pause & #embracethebeautythatsurroundsyou

Each one of us has a story to tell, just as Jesus does. When we chose to share these stories, through writing, we have the ability to help ourselves and others, just as those who wrote and told His story. Jesus' story was written so that "[we] you may believe" and "have life in his name" (see John 20:31). #considersharing

How are you able to pray for others, even yourself, when asked to do so? Daniel provides us with insight and direction on how to do so. When we understand Scripture and turn to the Lord and plead with him, through prayer and petition, he will hear us and answer accordingly (see 9:2-3). #developinghumility #honor #character & #truththrough #intercessoryprayer

Why do others have such a hard time minding their own business? We are reminded, in 1 Thessalonians 4:11, to "make it [our] your ambition to lead a quiet life: [We] You should mind [our] your own business and work with [our] your hands;" and just "love each other" (4:9). #MYOB

Things happen in our lives, both good and bad, for reasons that we may not understand. When we experience either, take note that "God has made the one as well as the other" (Ecclesiastes 7:14); and consider embracing them both, because you never that they may both turn out to be a blessing in disguise. #atradeoff
