Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
How can you make your situations better? We are challenged, in many ways; and the key to these challenges is how we respond to them. Instead of placing blame or making excuses, we have the opportunity to seek His "wisdom and power," (see Daniel 2:20), just as Daniel did, to help us better our situations. #anadvantage #useit

Besides yourself, how much do you value others? When we are able to look to the interests of others and not to our own, (see Phillippians 2:4), we have the ability to see things very differently. Putting others before ourselves creates a transformation like no other. In doing so, we gain a new sense of self and among many things the ability to love more, make new friends, give grace, be gracious and committed, and have compassion for others. #seewhatcanhappen & #betransformed

Where does your comfort come from?
No one is immune from troubles. We all have them. Even in all of our troubles, there is One person who can comfort us. When we allow Him to comfort us, we, then, can return the favor to others, (see 2 Corinthians 1:4), just as he has done and still does for us.
As a token of what God has done for me, in all of my troubles, I hope that my recently published book, "Mindful Meditations of a Nurse Warrior," and 'Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior," through LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Good Reads, and Twitter, help provide the comfort that you need to live a happy and healthy life. #payitforward

The world is filled with a great deal of people who make unkind and untruthful remarks towards others. Instead of becoming defensive and saying something that you will regret, consider pausing, and then either respond with a gentle answer to turn away your wrath, because responding harshly stirs up anger (see Proverbs 15:1), or say nothing at all. #riseabove & #consider & #chooseyourwordswisely

Whatever we are feeling, needing, or going through, Jesus promises us that "he will give [us] another advocate to help [us] and be with [[us] forever" (John 14:16). With this promise, what more can we ask for? #everlastingguidance #comfort & #peace

Living in fear can be paralyzing. It is when we choose to "seek his kingdom" (Luke 12:31) that these fears go away and our focus is redirected to the one who knows us well and takes care of our every need (see 12:24-30). #fearnot

Even out of great hardship, goodness is possible. During our weakest and darkest moments, nothing good seems achievable, because we only see and hear what we want to in our tunneled vision and clouded mindset. But, with time, and if we allow Him to, He will help "bring good out of our most difficult circumstances" (James Banks). In knowing this, "Praise be to the Lord" (Ruth 4:14); for God is always good. #findinggoodnessinthedark

Much happens in the world that causes us to hide behind our own walls. As much as we want to isolate ourselves, instead, He wants us let the light shine through our windows. When we make the decision to live in the light, He assures us that we can "go out in joy and be led forth in peace" (Isaiah 55:12). #ourpersonalsecurity

When wronged, it is very difficult to forgive. As we contemplate what to do, turn to Luke. Luke 17:3 says that "if your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them." In doing so, we are then able to "increase our faith" (17:5). #findingforgiveness

As we interact and get to know others, we come to learn some things about them that they may not be proud of or seem foreign to us. Regardless of the baggage that others carry, we should continue to "love them as [ourselves]" (Leviticus 19:34), and treat them with the same empathy, respect, and understanding that we also desire and deserve. #mutualrespect
