Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
Fires need to be put out, every day, for one reason or another; and "if you are thrown in the the blazing furnace," (Daniel 3:17-18), like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has your back? When we allow Him to stand by our side, at all times, He will give us the fortitude to withstand any fire that comes our way. #totherescue

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
We are taught to "give to the one who asks you...[to] love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" (Matthew 5:42, 44). As tough as it is to consider or even do so, we listen and do what we are told. When we do what we are asked, we become stronger and better. #listen #reciprocate & #bestrengthened

We rely so much on being able to see things, and when we can not we have trouble believing in what we can not see. One of those invisibles, but truly visible, is God. In order to see Him, we must live by faith and not by sight (see 2 Corinthians 5:7). His assurance to us is being surrounded by his master piece (see Psalm 19:1), as well as himself, every day; along with being able to "live and move and have our being" (Acts 17:28). #seeingisbelieving

Love surpasses all human understanding, except when you are a believer. Because of His undying love for us, He places, within us, the strength, along with truth, humility, and gentleness, that we need, in order to love others (see Ephesians 4:2, 25). Therefore, consider allowing Christ to "dwell in your [heart] through faith" (3:16-17) so that you can experience the true meaning of His love and your ability to love another. #thepoweroflove

Words mean nothing when they are not understood. Therefore, in an effort to teach others and bring understanding about what is being taught, a foundation must be put in to place. First, begin with milk, because the learner is not ready for solid food yet (see 1 Corinthians 3:2); and when the learner matures, then, they are ready for solid food (see Hebrews 5:14). #taketherightstepstoknowingandteachingyouraudience

Asking for help from others can be very difficult to do; but when the load becomes too heavy or burdensome, we may need to reconsider, especially when our livelihoods are at stake. Exodus provides support for those of us who try to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders and do everything ourselves. Moses was one of those people who also did too much and tried to be many things to many people. It was through the advice of Moses' father-in-law that made him reconsider what he was trying to do. Jethro told Moses that "The work is too heavy for you; you cannot handle it alone" (18:18); and also encouraged him to share the workload with other faithful people. It is when we allow help from others that we will be able to stand the strain and everyone will go home satisfied (see 18:23). #manyhandsmakelightwork

In a race to grow up and become independent, we have a tendency to forget or ignore God's great love for us, which is "gracious and righteous...full of compassion" (Psalm 116:5). No matter our age, we still need Him and his love; and in order to be reminded of it, we need to consider returning to our roots, often, and thank Him for all of the good that He has done and given us (see 116:7). #stayrooted #connected & #intouch

We have all been foolish a time or two; but is whether or not we choose to do something about it. We can either learn from our foolishness, through discipline, and become wise, or we can remain foolish, without correction, and become "fools...[who] lack sense" (Ecclesiastes 10:3). What kind of heart do you wish to have? #awiseorfoolishone

Instead of judging us, He chose to love and save us. What about yourself? We are reminded, by Ephesians 4:2, to "be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love." If we chose to do so, we allow ourselves the opportunity to experience "real, unconditional love," (5:2), thereby letting go of the urge to judge and compare. #bebetter & #loveinsteadofjudge

When, specifically, told not to do something and you do it anyway, what was the consequence and who was affected by your choice? When God, specifically, told Adam and Eve to not eat from the tree that He commanded them not to, (see Genesis 3:11), but did so any way, the entire world was affected by their choice. Therefore, in everything that you do, especially making a choice of this magnitude, consider the consequences, before you act, because we do not have the capabilities, as God does, to fix things. Unfortunately, we are left with what we have done and can not take back, but we can ask for forgiveness and repent. #afruittree #thecross & #thetreeoflife
