Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior

Today is a very special day, one of great joy, just as it was when Mary Magdalene went to Jesus' tomb and saw him. When she realized it was Jesus, she ran to the disciples and told them: "I have seen the Lord!" (John 20:18). Even though we do not see him, as Mary did, He remains within and beside us, always. He has risen; and risen, indeed, he has! #EasterBlessings2021

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior

When we read His word, through Scripture, we are able to find answers to all of our questions and concerns. Psalm 89:8 just so happens to do that, by beginning with a question and finishing with an answer. "Who is like you, Lord God Almighty? You, LORD, are mighty and your faithfulness surrounds you." When He is the foundation of our faith, we can "walk in the light of his presence" (89:15), and know that he will always answer our questions and take care of our concerns. #ouranswertoallthings

What does the cross signify, to you? For His sacrifice, on the cross, we receive much-life, love, forgiveness, new beginnings, and so much more. Hopefully, the next time you see a cross, you will know and understand its significance, and "may [you] I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me [you], and I to the world" (Galatians 6:14). #aconstantreminder

In order to "love each other deeply...offer hospitality" (1 Peter 4:8-10). Until we make the conscious decision, out of the goodness of our hearts, to do for another, we must "practice hospitality " (Romans 12:13). Once we do so, only then, we can come to fully appreciate what it is like to "serve others" (1 Peter 4:8-10), especially those in need. #lifechanging & #unforgettableexperiences

Our gardens have a tendency to fill up with weeds, maybe due to neglect or consciously putting it off. The longer we neglect or avoid doing so, the worse our gardens become. It is when we make the decision to ask God to search us, because He knows our hearts so well (see Psalm 139:23). With him knowing us as well as he does, He can help us from filling our gardens with weeds. #tackle #till & #takeout

Who do you serve and follow, those that lead out of intimidation or fear or those that are real and honest? Judgment will be brought to all those that lead out of intimidation and fear, just as God did to all the gods of Egypt (see Exodus 12:12). For those who lead with truth and integrity, He will give them life. #trueorfalse

How deep is your faith, especially when faced with life's battles? When in direct fire, like US Army soldier Desmond Doss, and David, in Psalm 11:1, we are protected when we take refuge in the Lord. #InGodWeTrust

Why do we allow so much of our time and attention to be drawn to social media? If so, what are we looking or searching for? Whatever it may be, may it have good intentions. Our true focus should be directed to the man who rode through Jerusalem, on a donkey, as the crowds shouted "Hosanna...Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" (Matthew 21:9). He is definitely worth our time and attention or a "shout out" or tweet. #takethetimetoseekandacknowlegeHim

Each one of us is of royal descent, an heir to Abraham (Galatians 3:19), and "children of God through faith" (3:26). As God's children, we are blessed with His presence, every day, so that we may live in unity; because, by birthright, we are "all one in Christ Jesus" (3:29). #aroyalfamily

Garbage builds up, even in our own lives. It is through identifying the garbage and a willingness to recycle it in order to become something purposeful. When you choose to do so, your garbage can turn in to something beautiful, just like the flowers in barren lands (Isaiah 35: 1-2), streams in deserts (35: 6-7), and war tools turned in to instruments (2:4). Turn your poverty in to something worthwhile. #takeoutthegarbage
